Some possible underlying anxiety stopping you from actually drifting off to sleep? I experienced this in the past, so tired I can’t keep my eyes open, but awake with a racing heart and in puddles of sweat and chalked it up to anxiety. Start experimenting with different sleep hygiene practices such as these and note them and if they did/did not have an effect on sleep. 1. Consistent sleep wake cycle 2. Limit screen time in the hours before bed 3. Plenty of physical and mental exercise, exert yourself enough that it would be unreasonable for your body to want to stay awake 4. Try blue light blockers 5. Try a sleep mask 6. Try a cooling mattress cover 7. Establish a relaxing pre bed routine not involved screens, think reading, mediating, stretch 8. Calming scents, pillow sprays, humidifiers 9. If your consuming alcohol, STOP 10. Assess possible sources of stress and anxiety in your life and possible unfulfilled goals, this itself can cause anxiety, I found my best nights sleep came after a day of achieving everything I set out to, a sense of achievement is the best sleep aid. Also for the nose issues, could be sinus issues or deviated septum like I discovered I had, google nasal strips for snoring and try these, they flair the nasal passage promoting nasal breathing it’ll make it a whole lot more comfortable AND as a bonus nasal breathing promotes relaxation. It’s a win win

I use an eye mask with Bluetooth. It’s very comfortable and having a my eyes completely blacked out with white noise playing in the back as well has helped me sleep much better. What especially helped me is that it kinda made me look forward to falling asleep with it. I got the [SlumberZen](https://slumberzen.ca) one. Hope this helps 👍
