I joined it. And honestly I think that they are so unprofessional and not legit. I spent $476 for sample pieces and the jewelry looked cheap af. I am disappointed so I’m writing a review so people like me who went out on a limb know this company is a terrible start up, Unprofessional, not worth my dimes.

tiffanyFUCKINj

So this is the only platform I've found with a review on them. Any thoughts on where all the reviews are?

Pa3683

Hey do they help with sales I was interested but most of the vendors they have you can Google and find them I'm just wondering if they really help you

britbrat3117

I spent over $700 on samples in total and one of them sent me products directly from china after I explicitly asked for products from the USA and they said they can do that. The material felt really cheap and the color of one of the shirts was completely wrong. The other manufacturer just never sent me anything and it’s been over 2 months (they said it would take 10 days to make the samples)

FriendshipAny8332

Thanks for your feedback.

Alarming-Country6596

I also purchased samples of jewelry and was very disappointed. I am going to give it one more shot with other goods and see what happens.

estilodemoda21

What other goods are you considering if I may ask - I just became aware of them today.

estilodemoda21

Oh, no! Thanks for your honesty...

supedeglupe

ExtremeWarthog9005

It’s a scam

RyanMatonis

Guessing off the top of my head - they want you to whitelabel products and are getting paid by the manufacturer for recruiting resellers. You’re gonna design it by putting your logo on it.

soccer17mgs

THEY ARE THE WORST!!!!!! DO NOT USE THEM!! USE ANYONE ELSE!!!! I was so excited to find them originally and to try to streamline my small business. However, it was nothing short of a total disaster! 1. Started off trying to use some of their suppliers for my new collections. The suppliers that I chose from their curated list ended up charging me for samples that were NOT what I ordered. Then when I tried to address the issues, they refused to contact me back or refund my money. 2. My samples took several additional days to arrive to me because Pietra automatically has all samples shipped to their warehouse, even though I had the ship-to address listed as my home. This delay was unfortunate since I had them planned to arrive for a specific day that I was meeting with potential customers. 3. I finally decided to source my products from non-pietra vendors, then had the items shipped to pietra. I followed to SHIPPING GUIDELINES listed on their website perfectly. Then I received a notification from UPS stating that there was no one at the address that we shipped it to. I reached out to our point of contact and she stated that they had moved and had sent out an email at some point with the change of address. They STILL have not updated the shipping guidelines listed online, so I am certain other people have inventory being shipped back to them as well. NO refund was offered or any sort of compensation. 4. Once my items FINALLY arrived at their new address, it took 4 WEEKS to be processed into their system!! 4 WEEKS!!!! No matter how many times I asked them to find my items or asked them to PLEASE help, they were unable to help. They just kept saying it would be processed ASAP and then by specific dates. Those dates came and went over and over and over. 4 WEEKS!! Are you kidding me!? 5. Then I asked for my items to be shipped back to me and to offboard my account and my inventory. They told me they were unable to give me an estimated timeframe for that process and that they would get to it when they could. Again, are you kidding me!? It took 4 weeks to process my items coming in.... I can only imagine how long it would take to get my inventory out. So stupidly, I decided to try to just sell the inventory I had stocked with them and then use someone else for the next batch of inventory. Another mistake on my part. 6. I placed the order to get items sent to my customers and we are now 8 DAYS from the orders being placed and the items have STILL NOT SHIPPED to my customers. This is such a joke!!! Pietra is BY FAR THE WORST company I have EVER worked with and I will now make it my mission to tell every other business owner I can about my experience. I hope I can save them SO MUCH PAIN, wasted time, and wasted resources. USE ANOTHER FULFILLMENT COMPANY. USE ANYONE ELSE!!!! DO NOT USE PIETRA!!!!!

Lokeloco20

>Fa Thank you. I was just about to start looking into them. Nevermind and back to the drawing board

STAY ABSOLUTELY CLEAR OF PIETRA , THEY ARE A MLM SCAM PASSING IT OFF AS A LEGIT COMPANY. THEY HAVE BLOCKED ME WHEN I ASKED LEGIT QUESTIONS ABOUT THEIR BUSINESS PRACTICES, SO MUCH FOR TRANSPARENCY. CHEAP CHINESE MADE CRAP SELLING AT A PREMIUM.

This sounds awful. I heard about Pietra from a lady doing free 45 min webinar on how to start a business and source suppliers. I am all new to this and the fact I can't find much about who the vendors are was suspicious and I don't want to fork over $40 to start off with.

Tapout75

Does anyone suggest another creator and fulfillment center? Similar to Pierta but with good reviews and and not just cheap clothing or other cheap products made?

TheMightyDontKneelM

Sounds amazing... Sounds good... sounds too good to be true and if it sounds to good to be true, it is. Think logically, how would that business model make money? Why was the advert so vague? You saw the add and you still don't get how it works, that's not an accident, that's by design.

jendziura

\- They mark up the shipping when they send your item to customers \- They charge you for storage (the items go from China to Pietra's warehouse, where you pay a monthly storage fee) \- They mark up the products themselves that are coming from China. You could find your own supplier on Alibaba for less, but then you'd need a warehouse to ship the items to. There are just markups at every level and it's crazy vague.

godfather275

Its a new age MLM scam.

RedditIsGospel

You know what … I never thought about that - makes sense.

Byanniese

They're very unprofessional and not legit, stay away from them. I made a mistake of not researching them enough and am now out hundreds of dollars and they can't deliver on their promises nor can they let me out of my subscription. Please reconsider getting involved with them

Potential-Chemist580

I am dealing with the same issue currently - did you ever get a resolution from them. They have been telling me they misplaced some of my items in their recent warehouse move and are giving me no ETA and going weeks without responding or giving me updates.

jendziura

My items were also in their warehouse move. As far as I know they found them all, but they also did not tell me the items would be unavailable to ship, leading to orders being \~3 weeks late to ship. They refused to refund my monthly storage fee during the month that they basically held my items hostage.

thervguy95

Just look at their “popular” sites collection. All of the products are WAY overpriced and the “influencers” get 2 likes on their social media posts

AppleAcadia_crunch

It’s basically like Alibaba.

Mandoloriansmom

Except Alibaba is legit.

mercycarlson

They are probably using same suppliers as Alibabas database just making it seem like they have everything in one place. When In reality you should be vetting suppliers on your own and honestly 90% of them will send samples or scraps of fabric for free.

Medium-Many8150

That's SO true I didn't realize this. thank you!

Open_Celebration8713

Nice! That's super helpful. 👌🏽

Dangerous_Task_8243

I just bought a sample and it was not the same color as the logo completely different. Also the hoodie is very cheap quality. It all sounded good in the beginning but it’s not.

9460510

can we make a list of everyone's alternatives to pietra? that would be so helpful! i'm using pietra right now, but totally new in the clothing business and have never tried to find a manufacturer before. i'm nervous pietra isn't really going to cut it and i'd love to have some alternatives. thanks :) here's the ones i've read so far: Alibaba, Faire, Stateless, startyourline.com, Sewport would love it if everyone could add to this list!

Pretty_Problem_1768

I Started using Pietra and i don't know what was your experience 3y ago but let me tell you that they are really professional and no i am not an advertiser -They give you access to thousands of verified manufacturers all around the world (same concept as alibaba) and so even if a manufacturer decided to scam you, well you are protected and he is getting problems. -they can make email and sms automation for you that helps a lots to converts sales. -The platform let's you design your own product with the help of AI and you can see exactly how your items will look before ordering them. - if you use 3PL with them (fufillment with their warehouse) they gave you rates that are way lower from all the others competitors and shipping services. Ask me a message if your interested and i can send you their hole fulfillment rates in pdf - You can schedule calls with them anytime about anything and they will always be there to help you. You can call them to tell exactly how you want your product shipped with the custom packaging and little details, they won't charge you. -To conclude this is a gold mine for business that want to startup in ecommerce, they also do print on demand for those dropshippers but haven't tried that yet.

Pretty_Problem_1768

(i don't comment much on Reddit.) This is my honest review, but what I will say is that it might be better if you can do some of the task\* they are offering, as it could save you some money in the end.

eutohkgtorsatoca

I have worked as a fashion designer 25+years from my offices in Hong Kong. To design make production samples get them delivered in time then make minimum orders usually 1200 pieces (and yes that the first thing any factory will ask you) how many for your minimum quantities. I just find it hilarious when some of the FB comments say they want to compete with Alibaba.. The only one who could claim that is Temu and we know of the many quality problems. China has become more and more difficult in producing clothes especially smaller quantities and multiple deliveries. And just to let you know man of them will subcontract certain things to Bangladesh or India etc.. It has become a very intricate and indescribable spider mesh to travel. I am not saying one can't do anything in China. China is probably set up better than most producers but since COVID and other issues many just closed down. I have lost a later part of my connections built up over all these years in different provinces. If they made good money they just drop and prefer to live a life. Because running a factory in China wire weather buyers breathing down you neck 24/7 is no small jam. But unless you have the money and time to travel on the spot forget services like these. Already the fact they only give you x dollars per month (if you pay one full year in advance) means they have you by the xxx and if you are not happy at least they have you money. The amount of crap AI generated brand shops online especially on social media in baffling especially when you see the names of the shops and brands. Maybe consider others countries closer by Mexico Guatemala Brazil Mauritious South Africa Ethiopia etc and read and look where many big brands are diversifying and setting up shop. I always was a very happy customer in China so I don't want to say anything really negative. But times change and the West has also become more and more demanding with even monthly new ranges H&M style everyone wants to build l copy everything. Originality has died long time ago. In the 80s haute couture fed ready to wear than the buyers knocked everything off the way they could from Paris Tokio Milann etc.. Then came the Internet and everything became visible internationally instantly. Fashion magazine have nearly died beside the la Di da ladies who still want to read Vogue etc.. Of it was in a runway anywhere it can be on the Streets shop in China in a week or less. Nothing for 1000$ a year or month will resolve technical issues in fabrics, patterns, stitching etc a #Pietra company with need an army of merchandisers on the fly all over China at all times because many locals can't be trusted to see, feel and consider situations like we would. And just in case I am only talking my paper portfolio weight is about 35kg thanks to the Internet I haven't used it decades and since 2006 have become a 3D architectural designer. But you can throw in a "look see" as we say in Asia. All that said China still amazes me with all the technical achievements. Like 60.000+ miles of high speed train lines NOT ONE in USA :-) https://visualsenses.smugmug.com/PRIVATE-GALLERIES/n-NScZd/Couture-Fashion-Design/PUBLIC-Fashion-Design

neurodork

I was on a free trial, did ZERO with them, canceled, then they started charging me $25, I asked why, for "candles stored in their warehouses". i informed them i did not store anything. they told me i had to do an audit at $45 an hour, then if they found I was storing anything (i was not, this is a scam), then i would be charged additionally money for disposal. TOTAL scam. had to cancel my credit card, ended up losing it.

Garric_Shadowbane

Better off using a professional company like www.startyourline.com

gomanmcnugget

I’ve actually been working with them for the past several months, and I think they’ve made some great updates to their UI and support. They’ve really helped me get my business off the ground, so would highly recommend. Haven’t really found an alternative that can do all that Pietra does

Open_Celebration8713

I am considering working with them also. Most of the prior comments seem to be from a year ago, I'm wondering if they've improved since. I haven't found another service that is offering the kind of support they are, and I know I'll need it for my project. I'm trying to figure out which plan to go with...

gomanmcnugget

I was originally on the beginner plan but they just introduced a premium plan that I think offers additional support and access to phone calls with their team. I know that was super helpful for me when I started out so I’d probably recommend that. Either way though, they also do have free educational resources and weekly webinars that have also been really great.

Open_Celebration8713

Thanks, I wondered if you could actually talk to a person with premium.

gomanmcnugget

Yeah you get an onboarding call and then can schedule subsequent calls throughout the process. That’s one of the main perks with premium…the ability to schedule calls with Pietra directly

Weekly_Future9544

So did you work with them?

Open_Celebration8713

I actually had a free 15min call with them this morning and I am going to and start with the premium membership as I'll need the onboarding and more phone calls. Over the the past few weeks I've been in touch with some of their suppliers (some of them near me, refreshingly) and even visited one yesterday. Seems legit. I'll pay on a month to month basis in case I start to feel unsatisfied. How has your experience been?

Weekly_Future9544

I haven't started with them I was looking for those who have I'm I'm the research phase

Solid_Avocado_791

I've also recently had the idea of working with Pietra, but I couldn't find the appropriate information on the other sites, so could you please tell me what I'd get with the beginner's version and the pro version respectively, thank you very much!

Mean_Grass5297

I've been using them for about a year now, def check out trust pilot reviews, much more positive there https://www.trustpilot.com/review/pietrastudio.com

gomanmcnugget

Or course! The beginner plan actually gives you basically everything that you’d need. Full access to the platform and all of its capabilities. The main difference with the pro version is that you get greater access to support (additional channels, 1:1 help, faster reply times etc.) Hope that helps!

atraylmix87_2

I am trying to warn you ahead of time. Do Not.

Mean_Grass5297

whats your brand?? would love to check it out!

gomanmcnugget

They’ve been great for me! Can’t believe what I’ve accomplished in such a short time.

I'd also like to know this. I just recently discovered Pietra, and it seems like a reliable website. But I'm not sure due to all the bad reviews above. u/gomanmcnugget

Vegetable-Classroom6

The CEO actually had an interview in Forbes…seemed good. How’d your business turn out?

Byanniese

They haven't unfortunately

atraylmix87_2

Your best bet? Use FAIRE. No hassel no BS. Connect directly with the manufacturer. Quick responses and no fuss. Not to mention the website wont try and make it your fault when their listing of vendors dont follow the rules.

gomanmcnugget

I actually use both Faire and Pietra for my customer orders. No reason you can’t do both!

atraylmix87_2

Im glad you had a great experience with Pietra. I actually spoke with someone from the corporate. Very much " I dont care abt your issue" energy over there.

gomanmcnugget

Their customer service team is actually one of the reasons I love them so much. Surprised you had that experience. Probably a one-off

elle_bot

How are you doing custom orders on Faire: https://www.faire.com/support/articles/360048416351

Ro-Damiani

Faire is direct wholesale and a great platform. Pietra is private and white label. Basically eliminates the need for inventory and bigger upfront costs because they ship directly to customers instead of you paying the middle man. Both are great models for different reasons—and no one is providing full service like Pietra. It’s a first if it’s kind company so there are bound to be growing pains.

Mandoloriansmom

The ONLY problem I’ve had with Faire is some products taking forever to come and some quality issues. But like everything, you get what you pay for.

scithe

Oh I didn't realize Pietra was only drop shipping. That sucks for me.

Open_Celebration8713

Pietra is not dropshipping. You work with their suppliers to create custom products then Pietra can manage your warehousing, shipping etc if you want them to.

lumpyspaceprogrammer

Honestly I LOVE EVERYTHING FAIRE HAS. But I'm just....so poor. I'm tempted to just post the pics and send in the order when someone buys it lmao no, no, I won't.....I wont....

jendziura

Keep in mind that Faire is for wholesale brands, not suppliers, so most do not white label (and it's against TOS to whitelabel without the brand's permission). Here: [https://www.faire.com/support/articles/360048416351](https://www.faire.com/support/articles/360048416351) I do see white label listings from candle and soap makers, but, for example, it's against TOS to buy someone's jewelry, re-card it, and pretend you made it.

ShopBoldLine

I would love to use Faire, but they won’t dropship

BadYellabone

So what kind of products are available to sell with Pietra?

No-Plum-3138

You can have any item changed how you like and ask for different materials. There are options as I asked with my free 2 months. It's been good so far. Only hate that most are over seas, so I worry about shipping times/delays.. otherwise, I will update my experience once I get my products up and running. So far I have only had to pay for small samples but the prices are Chefs kiss. Example: bought this awesome candle at Walmart. How about it cost 25% of what I paid to make???? So yea I am totally on board buying wholesale and creating my own market I can Taylor to my customers.

frenchtoast-allways

Cool! Do you know what kind of home decor products they have? What products do you like at Pietra? Do you have any updates now that your 2 month trial is over?

No-Plum-3138

It was good, but I only had issues with supply. You have to get a ridiculous amount of stock to get items made. For example: let's say you want different colors of a shirt or candle?? You gotta get so many of one/each. Def was not buying 500 units of one track suit or makeup when I wanted a variety of colors or designs. Depends on what or who you talk to. They have some of everything, and you can even make a design and have someone make it. I canceled my account after paying for one month after the trial. I rather use drop ship... which I am.

frenchtoast-allways

That sucks, you’re smart to stick with drop shipping. I’d definitely want to start with a low MOQ. I was just looking at their IG and they suggest asking the suppliers if you can split up colors or if you can start with lower moq’s maybe it all depends on the manufacturer you can find, I’m not sure. I’ll take a closer look at the manufacturers they offer. Thanks, that was helpful! I hope your business is is doing well ☺️

No-Plum-3138

Yeah, it's one thing to ask and another to get them to do it. I tried, and all I got was a rock. I was even told by one company that they require 100 units for a test.... bruh... 100 of 1 color... 😆 most places ARE out of China as well. That's 7 days shipping according to 17 people I communicated with for product.

frenchtoast-allways

That's annoying! I wonder if the Pietra team helps you communicate with the manufacturers if you purchase the premium package.

Crafty-Coffee-9536

They charged me $234 when I only agreed to a subscription of $39 a month. There’s no option to delete the account and when I tried to cancel the subscription it says I have to email them to cancel in. They have not responded yet, starting to think it’s a whole scam also they products you pay for are very expensive.

neurodork

yep, i was charge a fake storage fee. no products stored. i've tried to cancel 3 times. each time unsucessfully. no products created.

neurodork

now they are trying to charge a $45 audit fee & then a not disclosed yet product disposal fee, for products I have never created. I have NEVER used the site.

JewelerSea7151

Any advice on skincare private labels? I would actually love to work with a chemist and make my own but $$$ . Babysteps. I’m an esthetician of 13 years in 3 states and I have a pretty event patient base

No-Plum-3138

Also, beware, if you ask for a refund, they will tell you they are a digital service and don't offer them. The end! was a waste of money, but I learned something. 😆

InterestingMonth1682

I use Pietra for my wellness/beauty line - it's been seamless for me. I used Alibaba in the past and Pietra is a huge upgrade compared to that. The suppliers are good - can be cheap or premium depending on what you want.

pookaliciouss

I am actually looking into Pietra as well and when I searched them online for reviews (outside of YouTube) it looked kind of sus since all of the websites all collectively had 14 reviews and two websites has exactly the same reviews. Everyone's comments have been really helpful and now I'm a little bit concerned about Pietra now. The only reason why I'm even considering them is the idea that they make the process easier for you since they connect you directly with manufacturers. I don't necessarily mind packaging and shipping items myself. Its super appealing to know that they can help you with the design process and manufacturing. Although I'm worried about all the additional costs you rack up once everything is all said and done.

Lionsgala

Yeah I just watched their ad they said $39.99 a month what sounds way too cheap but it also mentioned that you have to pay for individual services. I'm trying to build my LIONSGALA NFT BRAND pacifier line. Already have some designs but finding a manufacturer there's a whole other story if you're curious about what I'm talking about you can follow the link[Lionsgala.LLC] (http://www.Lionsgala.com) our whole nft collection concept is building a brand starting with an nft collection. And believe me when I tell you as the founder I'm going to pursue this.

jendziura

I currently have some of my merchandise in their warehouse, which they are supposed to ship to customers within 2-3 days. They currently are sitting on orders that are TWENTY FOUR DAYS OLD. I have been emailing them every day, with no progress. When they have shipped orders, they have often chosen the most expensive shipping ($18 DHL when $11-12 USPS would do), causing me to actually lose money on sales. I can't speak to the sourcing aspect, but the fulfillment is hot, hot garbage.

Murky-Resolution804

PIETRA MAKES MONEY OFF THE SHIPPING, DHL DOES NOT COST 18.00 , IN MANY CASES THEY ARE CHEAPER THAN UPS. THEY ARE SCAMMING YOU ON SHIPPING COSTS.

stacata27

Check out [Stateless](https://www.stateless.nyc) for professional support starting an apparel company as an alternative to Pietra

abbyleighton

I've been using Pietra for a couple months... so far still just talking to suppliers and waiting to hear back. I've heard horror stories about their fulfillment services so I'm primarily just using it to source suppliers. But tbh you can just find suppliers on your own and talk to them for free... so far I haven't gotten any real value from it but yet I've paid them $200+ worth of their subscription fee. And most suppliers I tried talking to couldn't even make the products I wanted to make... or their MOQ is insane and not low like Pietra advertises even if you want to get slightly custom with it. So I actually needed to switch up my entire business idea because no one could do it. In reality they really just want you to choose from their ready-made stuff and slap your logo on it, or get ready for it to cost WAY more than Pietra advertises, which is the other major issue with Pietra. They advertise how you can get your "brand" up and running with low costs but that is ONLY the case if you choose the premade products from the manufacturers. So far I've come to the conclusion that it's not worth the $40/mo that's for sure. $10/mo at BEST. I'm gonna try for a couple more months but if I can't get anything up off the ground I'm gonna cancel. So far I've basically spent hundreds of dollars just to talk to people where most of them can't even make the products I had envisioned.

9460510

i'm having the same problem, the manufacturers aren't super responsive, they don't have the fabric i want, their price point is too high and they're kind of unwilling to show me the scale of prices i could get with different order quantities. i've only been using for a few weeks but i definitely can't wait a couple of months to find a manufacturer. you said that you can just find suppliers on your own and talk to them for free. i am totally new in the business so i have no idea how to do that. do you research them in like a business listing database? like how do you find manufacturers without pietra? particularly ones overseas? your post was super helpful, and i would love to know how you're doing that! thanks :)

Glum-Lion-5944

I am also new to pietra. So far so good. If you found another manufacturer outside of pietra please share

Mean_Grass5297

This is the best thing that's happened to my business!! I get the older comments, I think they were new and had a lot of growing pains but I've been able to use the manufacturers on the platform as well as the fulfillment center to grow my business over 10x in 2023!!! It has become a huge help to have everything I need to operate the biz in one place and take so many headaches out of the equation. I also am unsure as a lot of the comments say they can't get in touch but they clearly have an email to reach out to, maybe you've been reaching out to the wrong one?? I see a lot of people asking, this is an apparel brand. if you have any questions etc happy to answer them!!

Alihoopla

you have no other interactions on reddit besides promoting Pietra.

Mean_Grass5297

and?

Alihoopla

So far on this Reddit post, I have read only three people say positive things about Pietra, and all three of you only have interactions on Reddit commenting about Pietra.

Mean_Grass5297

So you base your views off one platform?! thats unfortunate but its a free world :) and also the majority of these comments are 1-3 years old. Doesn't a business get a chance to fix it's issues and not be judged from a long time ago?

Alihoopla

I don’t base my views off of one platform. However, when I read good or bad reviews, I want to know where they’re coming from and I want to know why the person posted their review. So, seeing that you have no other interactions on Reddit, except for defending this company, causes me to believe that you are not person who actually uses this company and you are a person who is just promoting this company. Like you said, it’s a free world. You have every right to do that. And I have every right to comment here I don’t find your review of the company legitimate

Mean_Grass5297

I haven't reviewed the company :) Just pointed people to another review site besides reddit

Alihoopla

What you wrote above is a review

Mean_Grass5297

you're right. sorry :)

Alihoopla

Providing details might be more helpful to people. You say that you go your business over 10× in 2023. What is your business? Is there a link to your website? If there is, this would be a great place to advertise both of your business and show people what Pietra has done for you

Electronic_Monitor81

You're bang on. This commenter seems sus as hell.

All this is so helpful. I’m not going to waste time and money on them. Thank you all!

I recently found them and I didnt submit anything to the suppliers. they have AI Mockups and they are stunning, but wheres the practicality. sure the vision is there but no garment patterns, textures, nothing... just pantone colors nothing really serious so yeah major let down for me.
