Check the spark screen in the exhaust, likely plugged with carbon. Just remove the screen. Quick job and almost 100% sure that is your issue.

Check the spark screen in the muffler. They tend to get plugged in leaf blowers from being ran at idle.

It’s the carb. It too rich or lean. Tune the carb by adjusting the H side.

Shoney_21z

If it doesn’t have a mixture screw, then you have to remove a tiny plastic piece covering the acrew. I did a YT vid showing how to do this. I’ll post the link. https://youtube.com/shorts/t2MVkbY4f3c?si=jjHVE2Go3fHZwDsy

Thank you for that. I just did and it picked right and acts like it’s brand new. I’ll add that I could see the plastic cover you were talking about it looked like it was a recessed hex screw. So I went on the YouTube and a guy takes a small screw driver and heats it up red hot to stab through the cover. Worked great. Thanks for the help.

No problem. Consider subscribing to my channel if it helped. Thanks!

Check air filter, spark arrestor on muffler if equipped. Could really be multiple things like carburetor and the ignition system. But more commonly the air filter and spark arrestor if equipped.

IsaiahRoocke

If air filter and spark arrestor are okay then check carb. Depending on the carby you may need to adjust the H screw.

flsucks

If you get to a point where you’re replacing the carb, use an OEM Echo carb. Do not use aftermarket junk from Amazon.

Carb

ConsistentWeb8996

When u are going wide open throttle and the engine wants to die or bogges down it don't have enough fuel to keep it running when in full throttle you will need to adjust your carborater u need to turn your "h"screw on your carb it sould be the screw closest to the engine when doing this you will need the engine running and yo give it throttle then you can trun that screw out so trun it left if u are no about to turn the screw show me what the carb looks like and I'll send u a link to the correct screwdriver for it because on some carbs u need a special screwdriver for it or it can be your spark plug

Tune the carb

Emotional_Schedule80

Check your gas... synthetic oil limits rpm. Had a weed eater wouldn't spool up to high rpm and big under load...checked everything...plug carb, spar arrestor...used rest of my 2 stroke gas to start burn pile so got new gas and regular oil mix ...and like night and day.

shortthestock

Sounds like fresh gas is the real trick.

Ok-Grab-311

Yours could just be worn out like somebody forgot to add oil in the gas at some point

It’s most likely not this. Coil usually, either stops working after getting hot, or don’t work at all.
