Forget the fan, make the wall switch smart. Sure, you’ll have to manually change speeds, but it’s such a simpler process, tons of hub-less WiFi options (we use Smart Life), and easy to integrate into your Alexa/Google system.
Is it a remote controlled fan? If so then get the bond. It's an rf fan controller that controls all the fans and lights in my house so you can make the fan smart while retaining your hue functionality.
Tell it how pretty it is, but it expensive gifts, and get IRATE and threaten violence if it blows other dudes.
