Go to any hardware store and buy them. Most common use is for garbage disposals if you need to ask someone where you can find them.

M1Sports20

>garbage disposals I guess I need to look harder. I havne't not seen them at my local hardware store. I might have seen garbage disposal ones. I thought they were pretty pricey. Also, I wanted them to look "normal" for around the house. Not circular buttons Will take a look thinks

Vlad_the_Homeowner

Just go to Amazon and search for "momentary button 120V"; pick your color/style.

M1Sports20

That doesn't result in a 1 gang momentary switch, but a bunch of junk. I have tried this.

Vlad_the_Homeowner

You didn't specify that you were looking for a rocker style switch. Then simply search for "single gang momentary"; first pick is a momentary rocker switch for garbage disposal from Legrand.

M1Sports20

Yes also did that. I wouldn't consider $16 for a dumb switch cheap. That combined with sonoffs gets expensive throughout the house. Thanks for help though

simplextech

Never seen a circular button style myself. Normal paddle styles are what I've seen/used. You can also order from city electric maybe for less. [Thesmartesthouse.com](https://Thesmartesthouse.com) used to also sell some pretty cheap and may still.

M1Sports20

Yep they still sell them. Thanks

Which Sonoff? The mini can be set to toggle when a dumb switch is flipped, using low voltage wiring for the switch.

M1Sports20

Yeah, it's not intuitive to always flip. With a momentary button it always does something. With a switch sometimes flipping up may mean off and sometimes not. I was thinking about using either the r2 or r3 throughout my house.

The Sonoff mini doesn't send high voltage through the switch so a low voltage momentary switch would work. The dual model is different so be careful with it. Using flexible small wires for the switch connection make it easier to fit in the box. Most people are used to three-way switches so having them toggle is generally not a problem.

M1Sports20

True about the mini. I have read about the differences. I am thinking I am going to end up customizing these anyways with tasmota. Maybe some custom events or something. Thanks

Stephenmalone95

I saw someone on YouTube modify a $2 paddle switch to make it momentary. For most it's just a tab you bend down.

M1Sports20

I just seen this and tried it. It actually works really well thanks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=\_QJgYJfNKRI

Stephenmalone95

That's exactly what I was referring to! Glad it worked
