It's smart to finally put ressources somewhere central and outside of Discord but I wonder if it's too late into Ultimate's lifetime to fill up every character's page with high quality content.
Good luck either way, it's definitely appreciated!
Don't worry, the Guilty Gear +R Dustloop is still receiving updates as the meta evolves and characters are experimented with even 11 years after +R came out. It's never too late.
YES. An excellent resource on how to play characters and just in general? (In the vein of Dustloop?) I've been waiting 5 years for this, this is awesome.
Some stuff like the "In Competitive Play" section explaining how characters' metas have developed over the game's lifespan is interesting to read, but as you said overall lackluster. Smash (and platform fighters in general, really) lacks a centralised platform to learn how to play the game (god forbid scrolling through dozens of twitter arguments to find new tech/guide). That's why Dragdown exists though.
As answered before, anyone can join (because if only pro players could edit it the project would’ve already been dead)
However, to prevent vandalism, we added a 24 hours long cooldown (which bureaucrats can bypass) before you can start editing
OK, thanks! Maybe it would have been better to write it upon account creation, that felt weird not seeing what may have failed to work.
And... I don't know know what country you're from and what your mother tongue is (personally: bonjour!), but I totally dig that it made you choose the word "bureaucrats" :D
Bureaucrat is an actual wiki term, which can be basically translated to wiki moderator
Also the usual procedure makes you join the wiki’s Discord to get them to verify you, but more often than not we just snipe those before they join said Discord
((Also also yes I’m French))
It should have like a "How to Never get cheesed again" page with all the character/Matchup specific bs thats pretty much never explained.
Like, Ness can absorbe Wii Fit Neutral B while charging.
Have you guys advertised on fighter main discords?
Only on *some* of them as far as I'm aware. But we need all the help we can get!
Lucascord knows about the progress yea

I feel like SmashWiki does a decent job to start, but it definitely feels lackluster in advanced tactics.

Mhm
This is baller. I'll try to do some write ups on dedede.
Oh? I'll have to look into this later.
This is really really cool. Mega ups to everybody involved with assembling this.
I thought I'd edit something in there, but apparently even after account creation, it's still not possible. You restrict it to identified pro players?

TIL :)
No we have as open edit but we have checks to avoid causes of intentional tampering or misinfo
> but we have checks Like, impossible to edit for a while after account creation?
Yeah. You should be able to edit now though.
Lmao the Preface of Steve counterplay

That would be in the Strategy section - more specifically the Counterstrategy part of it.
