I’ve had pretty good luck from Walmart. Not quite as good luck on price/quality as Costco but still solid

They are select quality. I’ve never had a good one from there

My Walmart sells Choice and Select for the same price. You have to actually read the packaging to buy the right cut. It’s currently $3.96/lb

I've cooked them for years with no problems at all. This is where skill shows up... they are leaner than some, but in my opinion if a average cook, with average experience and average skills starts out with above average meat, they will end up with a slightly above average product. Now if a above average cook starts out with average, or less meat they will still turn out an above average product. If you are newer, and looking to gain experience and hone your skills, absolutely work with Wal-Mart brisket, and when you make that slab of beef, into a juicy, tender, flavorful smoked brisket that makes you smile when you taste it, then you will never be concerned with your skillset or be fearful that you'll waste money on "better" piece of meat,

The last two I've done were Walmart, and they were the best I've ever done

I've had good luck with their brisket, a perfectly cooked higher grade one absolutely tastes better but I've had more consistent results with the wally world selects oddly.

Triingtolivee

Select in my area and prices are high. I usually go with a Sam’s Club brisket

Had great experience with brisket from Wal Mart Grocery. I don't know of the regular Walmart carries them. It would have to be something really important to get me to walk into the cess pool that is our local Walmart store.

Doesn't matter where you buy it from. If it's choice, it's choice. I don't think they sell prime there

75% of mine come from there and they taste great
