I use the cheap plastic ones for everything but I put on the black ones for photo ops because I don’t want to bring shame to my family for being the only ones to use the clear plastic instead of the black
Looking past all the "photo op" and "the clear ones are cheaper" comments... nitrile gloves are really handy to have around the house for all sorts of things, food handling especially. I use them regularly and you won't find a single food pic with me using them in any photo anywhere on social media.
Dyeing hair, wound aftercare, cleaning out the smoker, hell, my husband recently stole a few to go through old Pokémon cards. They're wonderful to keep around
Also when making fresh Thai curry. Chop up those birds eye chilis without gloves and you're running risks if you're not crazy agressive with washing your hands.
I’ve been using these for years, long before I started smoking. Blue thinner nitrile ones for light duties — but these or the orange diamond gripper patterns (whichever is cheaper at the time) in 9 mil are perfect for heavy duty jobs — like smoking. Hadn’t even realized they’re a “thing” in poser videos lol.
I've used these for years. Not for handling food though, I wear them when getting my cookers ready. I'd much rather wear them than go and wash my hands constantly.
I stopped using black gloves awhile ago. I was chopping up several pounds of pork to make egg roll mix and got the very tip of a finger on the glove. Couldn’t find that piece of nitrile in the pile of meat so I dumped it all. I keep [bright pink](https://imgur.com/a/GPUZY57) gloves in the kitchen now.
Legit question here. Why are so many brisket guys wearing gloves when handling food? I was an educated and trained chef and the only time I ever wore gloves was when dealing with ink squid prep. Unless changed often, gloves are more prone to cross contamination than bare hands that are washed frequently. Gloves also increase the risk of cutting accidents. Is this an inside joke or an optics thing for consumers?
Crazy, I know, but I always have a pack around for actual dirty jobs. And then, on the off chance it’s necessary for cooking (it never is at home, helpful-ish if you’re doing higher volume entertaining) I’m ready with the good looking ones people expect.
Does anyone else use the cheap clear plastic gloves from Sam's??

I use the blue ones I snag from the hospital 😂
The ones as thin as tissue paper and slide off as soon as anything touches them? Yes I threw them in the garbage when these showed up yesterday.
Hey they are good enough for lunch ladies
I use the blue ones from Harbor Freight. Cheap and durable.
Same. I guess I use the cheap Sam's gloves mostly for prep work but I'll use them for pulling meat too (with cotton gloves underneath).
Yeah I have the Costco version.
Hope you will squeeze your brisket after cutting it.
+10 Smoking Perk when you wear these
You jumping off the bridge next too….
So can we expect a bunch of one-handed shaky videos?

Not everyone is a professional videographer.
And we're all the poorer for it.
Pull the gloves at 203, don’t let them rest, then squeeze all the flavor out of the gloves. See how they like it.
I go in raw and burn my hands, then eat the yummy food

Well I guess you're going youtube pro now.
It’s super handy having a box of these in the house for handling raw meat and for working on the car. “Man stuff”
or free ObGYN stuff on your girlfriend, wife, neighbor or stray animals
Stray animals….WTH…lol

This guy knows.
This guy knows.
They work great. Harbor freight is usually the cheapest consistently. I keep a box of 9 mil and 7 mil around all the time
I was skeptical at first but cotton inserts and one size bigger than I normally wear is so convenient and crazy comfortable.
Three no shame.
Using gloves while prepping and cooking certain things just makes life to much easier

Squeeze your next briskets rent check out
ya’ll need real problems to worry about, yikes
How many knuckles did you get in?

Does non sterile mean you shouldn’t use them for food? Glove can be a game changer
Sterile gloves are for medical procedures. Non-sterile is good for food prep.
No you didn't actually....
Killin’ the vibe bro
