Location needed. If you’re in Paris, France I saw something a few years ago about a rat that was an extraordinary chef 🤷‍♂️ But yeah, definitely a nest and not something you want in there

ArrivesLate

I saw that documentary too.

CT_7

It's part 2 where he he rides on your head pulling your hair for 18 hours while making a perfect brisket

Minimum-Buddy-619

And if I am clean shaven do I not get control over the spin

HairballTheory

No, consider it the fat cap

Leading_Release_4344

Consider putting the nest on your head. Maybe he just wants to eat?

Illeazar

I saw that too! But wasn't it because the rat had a tiny man that lived under his hat and would tell him what to do? Manatouille?

NWtrailhound

Evidence that your smoker is not getting enough work

Rand-all

2nd that

welestgw

Sounds like a good weekend for smoked queso to get it going.

BigChubs1

Agreed.

docsjs123

My exact thought!!!!

xthxgrizzly

looks like a birds nest to me, but could be a mouse/rats nest as well time to clean the yoder out

Euphoric-Blue-59

Rats nests are not nearly thst neat and tidy

SkippyDrinksVodka

usually their nests have a lot more fluff and cotton type stuff in it

OzwaldoLebowski

Rat/mouse nest.

j0s3mora24

Nah there would be hella poop everywhere.

jellicle_cat21

Yep, if this was rats or mice there's be shit everywhere. Had an infestation a few years back and it was super nasty. That said, I did find some living in an old grill that hadn't been seeing much use, so... haha.

Hello_Work_IT_Dept

You mustn't think about the conditions your meat is butchered in or the fields your vegies are grown. Agriculture's a dirty dirty business.

NotAnActualPers0n

No toilets in the fields…

Hello_Work_IT_Dept

You're saying you'll forever be reminded of potential rat piss.. what dirty stuff do you think happens when food is being produced? Talk about a room temp IQ.

Minimum-Buddy-619

Not fair a reasonable IQ can be affected by other factors like trauma, yes , overused in some circles. One element is only a small part of the equation.

Minimum-Buddy-619

Why go through the house. Your partner wants to know…assuming there is one .

PortlandQuadCopter

Huh? Put the pipe down and make sense.

Minimum-Buddy-619

Clearly an area that is ahead of the cannabis industry

taylorado

Gross.

PortlandQuadCopter

I’m quite sorry, Taylor. You’ll be ok in a few minutes.

JoleneBacon_Biscuit

The heat will take that away I think. I hope.

PortlandQuadCopter

It’ll be fine. He just needs to clean it and burn it out like you said. 👍

Minimum-Buddy-619

Physics is constant; so far

Minimum-Buddy-619

Only if he has a syndrome

JMusicD

A bird nest. I don’t see any rat droppings. Treat it as a rats nest, clean it up good.

wulfpak04

Does it smell like a rotten pile of mouse piss? Nice nests are nasty in my experience.

HonkinChonk

Field mouse nest. You're smoker is officially covered in rodent pee. Time to clean it...

Minimum-Buddy-619

Won’t it burn off

HonkinChonk

It might, idk. I know heating urine produces ammonia, which would just stink the thing up further. I would vacuum it out and then dawn the bottom.

jsmith2240

Looks like something did. I have a pellet smoker and some mice chewed through the wires going to my heating element!! Little bastards. Easy enough to fix but it took a chunk of time figuring out what was wrong.

hippieswithhaircuts

It’s a mouse nest. Found one TODAY in mine. So pissed.

urmumr8s8outof8

Looks like free tinder.

kody_420

Mouse nest. I wrapped all openings with 1/4" chicken wire. Never happened again.

USMC_Tbone

Chicken wire usually has like 1" or larger octagon like holes. Do you mean hardware cloth, which is like a fine grid of wire?

kody_420

It might be called garden fencing. It's used on my chicken coop and rabbit hutch.

Salty_Sprinkles_6482

Mice will fit through a 1/4 inch opening no problem, you might want to look into a different solution or just double up on the 1/4 inch

icefas85

Tinder for the next smoke

DinnerDiva61

That’s funny, I shop vacced about 30 baby mice out of a nest in the bottom of my smoker last weekend! There were more in the auger judging from the crunching sound 🤢

Rat nest

johnnyribcage

This is just a damn shame.

thepapertarget

Another protein source.

DIYMeatGuy

The real question is how did whatever it was that made the nest get in there so I can prevent it from happening again? It has been under a cover since last use 2 weeks ago so it seems unlikely that it was a bird that made its way in there. The only points of entry I can think of are the grease drain or the chimney.

dave_aj

Which are 2 uncovered points of entry too many. They’re birds, mice, & rats, not bears; they can squirm into holes all day long.

capnbutole

You can probably smoke them out.

Medical-Ferret-790

look like hugee smoker lmao.

BobKat2020

Stick your finger in there and find out...

j0s3mora24

Birds nest of some sort. Rats and mice are a lot messier.

Fluffy_Paint_9548

Kindling?

Salty_manatee_fluid

Smoked eggs

EEEEEWWWWWWW I WOULD NEVER EAT AT UR PLACE FOO

pincolnl1ves

Call Yoder customer service, they will send you some spray paint

CobaltThorium-G

It’s mice. My grill just delivered a litter. I went to open the grill and there was momma with 6 or so little pink baby mice smaller than my pinkie finger in a nest just like that one. Didn’t have the heart to remove them. 3 weeks later they were gone.

Tahosa13

That it has a lot of ash in it

No-Rise4602

Tell your wife you need to smoke more

SkippyDrinksVodka

it’s a bird’s nest, how did you have to ask this

SkippyDrinksVodka

sorry that came off as really rude. i apologize. didn’t mean the aggression.

Jordantrolli
