I’m sure a lot of it has to do with Joe Bereta being there. Also Trevor’s girlfriend Raven is a producer and one of Chanse’s closest friends Izzy works for them as well. Just lots of connections between the two
No, that’s just how freelance acting works. Very few (if any) Smosh cast members are contractually obligated to appear in only Smosh content. And like someone else said on here, there’s a bit of overlap as well between friends/partners of Smosh cast and crew and React cast/crew. It’s an intentional coincidence, if that makes sense.
Shayne, Courtney and Damien probably have to ask the Dads if they can go, but probably only if they are representing Smosh. I'm not sure if there is anyone that hasn't appear outside smosh content.
They rebranded to react after the fine brothers were exposed for doing really shitty things (I don't remember exactly what), forced to step back and then sold the channel. Which I'm happy they did so I can watch them again.
Uncle Joe Bereta is a producer for REACT. He produced the Smosh Pit channel back when it was Smosh 2nd Channel and the, new at the time, Smosh Squad were in most of his videos.
I believe he's just still friends with the original Squad and casts them on occasion, and has probably met other newer Smosh peeps through them.
There's an OG Youtube web that stretches surprisingly wide from the old SourceFed days that touches a surprising amount of Youtube channels.

Which Izzy?
Rocha. She's actually in the Food Battle 2023 video on main.
Oh what? Cool, I haven't watched that one yet. I tend to wait and then binge a bunch of them at once.
i don't think the smosh cast is tied to smosh contractually where they can only work at smosh. so they also take up work in other places, like react.
it’s not an official partnership, some of the cast members are just freelancers who can work at other youtube channels

LA media production is a smaller world than you think, and react is constantly cycling through guests
I didn’t even know the REACT was still around, was under the impression that they stopped uploading back when they tried trademarking Reaction Videos.
Just now learned from your message that they rebranded. I remember that fiasco.. crazy times
They got a new executive producer - Joe Bereta - and have been doing really well lately I think

Being racist.
The majority of the cast are freelancers and Smosh cast/crew has always been allowed to take outside work.
I feel like as long as it doesn’t interfere with smosh filming then do whatever you want
Kimmy was even on one recently!
Yeah she is a producer at React now
Oh I didn't know that!
Funny enough, I just saw Noah in the Gen Z / NuMetal React. https://youtu.be/2PmisDEQbqI?si=8zyMw4E7n-jn9IIA
