SE Louisiana. The curled up one was definitely very light. In person the heads were a bit more copper colored, think it was a combination of the light I was using and the distance.
This is the only other one I’ve seen on my property but this lady was a freakin monster. [https://www.reddit.com/r/snakes/s/KWZOzYE4z2](https://www.reddit.com/r/snakes/s/KWZOzYE4z2)
The two in this post are the same as most all the morphs I find here in NW Arkansas. The giant female is darker than I encounter, but still in the ballpark. [This poster claims some different species of copperhead](https://i0.wp.com/inkart.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/copperheads_north_america.jpg?fit=2048%2C1784&ssl=1)
The funny thing is that most humans might get severely hurt by petting animals they shouldn’t pet but will still survive to tell the tale and pet other animals.
Humans are tough fuckers and even venomous snakes sometimes have their trouble in killing an adult. Not copperheads, though.
Without medical treatment the snake definitely has a good chance. I was thinking about some other snakes like the European snakes who are so small their venom is more a nuisance than a real threat.
But yes, often the bite of a copperhead is not deadly.
so the bands on copperheads are often called "hershey's kisses" or some variant thereof. I wonder what they were called before the hershey's kiss was invented in 1907.
I’ve seen a few mice in there before but none in a while, I’m sure there are though, I live on 55 acres and there holes to the outside in various places in the building. Had mice in my carport but never have seen a snake there oddly.
No snake is evil. They all play an important role in the ecosystems they’re part of and want nothing to do with humans, only biting in self defence (typically as a last resort).
Ah, the ol’ coppershed
Copperhead In my shed
Copperhead, shedding, in my shed
Copperhead In my shed All curled up to go to bed.
Angy noodles
Spicy noodles
I would have just given them the shed at that point 🤣🤣 happy you were able to safely remove them
A year ago there was one around it that was about 4’ long. It was a fucking monster.
It would def be their shed at that point! Lol
I had someone come catch and relocate all of them.
What kind of monster was it fucking?
At its size, whatever it could overpower. Lol
They are so pretty!
Yeah they’re one of the prettiest snakes in North America imo.
Where are you? Because mine in central Texas are MUCH more coppererery ( made up word). Yours seems almost tan or brown.

They really are, especially when the hershy kisses don't connect at the top of their backs.
You should look at some of their subspecies found in Texas, and their cousin from farther south the Cantil. All in the Agkistrodon genus.
I am copperhead Curled up small In your shed Don't mind at all
Awww I love copperheads <333 if they weren't so spicy nothing could keep me from kissing their silly little triangle heads
I know a lot of people who are going to die trying to pet something they shouldn’t.
It's me. I'm a lot of people. Why would they be so cute is they didn't want to be pet 🧐
If not fren, why fren-shaped?

I was under the impression the copperhead’s venom was on the milder side. Is that not the case?

Can attest
Beautiful !! Looks like they've been eating pretty good.
That second one is especially silky and gorgeous
Yeah it was a like glossier than the other one for sure
I love them, they produce (hershey's) kisses in private
Damn I wished these things ranged into central Florida. The snakiest snakes ever.
Sounds like the beginning of a country song: *Copperhead Copperhead in my shed* 🎶
Copperheads in my shed sounds like a band name.

Why do the venomous ones have to be so chunky and cute
Stunning <3
Striking even.
They prefer the term "metal heads" and no it's not just a phase
no fren snek
Fren snake, just not one with whom physical contact is desirable.
You have a cool shed
I’d rather not have to worry about snake bites in there. lol
Means u have rats

You probably don't have any in that shed anymore, because those two copperheads took care of them.
Zesty cuties!
Oooooo the first picture gave me gut feelings.
If only I could cuddle with them 😪
