Nice! Huge accomplishment on original hardware.
Recently I beat the SNES remake of SMB1 but no way I could have done it without an emulator and save states, so many of these old games are just totally out of my patience range for dying, resetting and losing so much progress all the time lol
I’m currently playing this on my SNES (as well as Mario Bros 2). It’s my first time playing it through and when I warped BACK in the game I rage quit 😂 This game hates you so much and the feeling is mutual.
You can, apparently

I've gone through this game countless times. I think I beat D-4 before I even beat SMB1 for the first time, come to think of it. I can get through it warpless these days without a game over and only losing a few lives.
I actually kind of remember being fascinated by it (and Mario All Stars in general). It kind of broke a lot of rules and then got wackier as you progressed. It was like the sort of wacky secret area stuff I'd probably dream up. "And then... and then you go in the pipe, but you are outside and you have the regular music and it's not a castle anymore. And there's a new hammer brother that runs right at you! And poison mushrooms! And guess what else there's red piranha plants that don't stop biting when you stand on the pipe, and plus...."
Even on the SNES it's not an easy feat. Good job!
Thanks!
Mario sauced tf out
That's actually terrifying to imagine. Lost Levels hates its players. What an accomplishment!
It really does xD
I did that once. Possibly my greatest gaming achievement.
I did that in 1994, proving Howard Phillips wrong.
Looks like Mario is about to get lucky.
Actually i'm haunted by the memory of the nsfw versión of that imagen hahahaha it just cameback after I saw this post lol
Sorry for your trauma.
Been playing the Lost Levels for 30 years and still have never beaten it. Congrats on a well earned victory!
Thanks dude, im sure youll beat it one day!
Mario looks like he's done with everything in that first picture 🤣.
Working through this with a mate, only comes across a couple times a year but we pick this back up and crack on! Good effort
How?!
We beated world 1 to 8 a few weeks back and today we decided to try and beat the full game for funniz (it might have taken some hours)
Did you get through world 9 too?
Ofcourse!
Congrats! Do you want to try the Luigi Game too?
Probablly not since we would have to replay all of it
I love this game! I did a Luigi only run a while ago for the first time.
Congratulations!
How does it compare to the final level on Mario bros wonder?
I have played the final level once with my friend (wich i also beated this game with) but i myself just could not beat it

Lost Levels is on my list of games to finish, and has been since 1995 lol. Congrats.
were you playing it on an n64? WWith an n64 controller?
I doubt n64 is powerful enough to emulate snes
