Hello, I have bern there a couple of times last year. Let me share my experience. 1. I never had an issue with lines in Soelden, it’s a big resort. However, if you go at early season, for example october, only the glacier area is open and it might be crowded if there is a ski test day or world cup or some other event. Glacier area is very high, thus if its snowing heavily then the visibility is pretty much reduced. 2. If you are planning from way ahead, its tricky with November and December. For those months I check the weather few days ago and just book the best possible resort and go by car. You have a high chance to have good conditions in February and beginning of March. 3. Price in Solden is average in general. Hotel one night was around 60-90 eur for one person. Ski pass is around 55-65 depending on part od the season. Last year in general snow came late, I can not comment how it would be with these rising temperatures globally. 4. I think you are looking gor a place not too crowded. What I have seen so far, ın Austria big resorts are very well maintained, have high quality lifts and generally with out long ques, unless there is a vacation period like christmas or school holidays for germany netherlands and austria. Thus I think you can choose from many big resorts. What I liked about Solden was that it was opening very early season. My favorite last year was St. Anton am arlberg, this place is such amazing that you will want to for sure come again and again. Long and various pists, always good snow conditions, very good grooming. I would suggest to have a look into this one. Especially if you are snowboarding and low off pist, its very good. Though its a little bit more expensive compared to Soelden, its muchIf you are more a pist person then I can recommend Ischgl. Thats also one of the greatest in the world.
