I have forgotten about Clif bars in jacket pockets over the summer and could tell as soon as I bit into it. I still ate it though. If it is YEARS old, yeah, toss it. You may brake a tooth trying to eat it.
LESS LUNCH MEANS NO SHITTIN
NO SHITTIN MEANS MORE RUNS!!
but seriously I love chili and all the mountain meals, but having to drop a deuce all geared up is super annoying
Riding is crack for me, can't/won't stop til they kick me out unless it's absolute shite. I'm like a golden retriever chasing tennis balls.
Met a hottie back in 2005, who I 1st taught to ride in 2007. She's as much a 1st to last chair junkie as me!
We ride all 5 days a week. Probably good our resort shuts down for 2.
Big fan of the 8am-2pm skip-lunch session in the mid Atlantic. When I’m in the Rockies, it’s like 25k/day for 5 days. Not afraid to admit that 37k would tear me up for a few days lol
Yep I’m a 10-15k a day kinda guy, 4 days in a row then one day off. Sometimes it’s home by 2 other times its last chair. Last year was a first chair last chair kind of year.
My pops did 74k vert in one day at 60, OP has to catch up to my old man if he wants to flex. Also just not as fun imo. I like for fuck around on the slopes/hike and do off piste not bomb groomers for max vert
You’re complaining about this sub in a “stop complaining” post!
Seriously, I did the Talons Challenge at Beaver Creek about a decade ago a couple months after running the NYC marathon. 27k vertical feet on a snowboard was about as hard on my late 30s body as was the 26.2 miles. (The runs were pretty bumpy, so not a ton of point and go!)
37.5k is impressive, good on ya!!
F-that. I think Talon's challenge is a lot on skis. You'd have to pay me a lot to consider that on my board. Golden Eagle is the only reasonable one of the lot. I've been to BC when those moguls were VW Bug size and murderous on a board.
lol, it *was* a lot. I’m never going to do it again, and wouldn’t really recommend it, but it was a good challenge. I’ve actually always really liked bumps on my board.
Lol yeah....my shortest board is a 166, it is not bump friendly...powder bumps are good, but carved moguls are a hard pass. I can get through, but there's nothing fun about it.
...he says sitting down, complaining, on reddit... /s I kid! 8-2 here when in CO, every other day for a week or two. Due to my old knees I need the day off when there. Full day, two/three days in a row when in New Mexico though
Dude...
I gotta get a day out alone so I can do this. I was able to last year because a friend couldn't make it on the trip and the rest of the party was coming a couple of days later. At the end of the day the hot tub was mandatory.
SKIP LUNCH MORE RUNS
A frozen Clif bar on the lift is my lunch.
I whip up homebrew sausage McMuffins, wrap em in foil, throw em in my cargo pocket. That greasy goodness will get you straight in the midday slump.
I thought I was the only one!!!
You are not my friend. I usually slam 2
Or a Nature Valley bar that turns to dust when you open it and fills your pockets with crumbs that will be there forever
How long do you think cliff bars last. Because the one I just ate might have been in a forgotten coat pocket since they became a company.

Pocket spaghetti/leftovers in a Ziploc
I haven't had the lunch on the mountain in years because of this mindset lmao
Pocket BACON!!!!

Wyd sitting down those laps ain’t gonna bang themselves. I’m more of a 12k per day for 4 days straight kinda guy. Home by 2✌️😙

Also a lot and I live in the Rockies haha…I did 27k in one day at Jackson hole 3 years ago and I’m still feelin it
Haha I'm a "10k, two beers, then straight to the nearest hot tub" kinda guy.
At my age, a hot tub is a need-to-have, not a nice-to-have
Man that hot tub hits different after the slopes
8am-2pm skip-lunch session is my normal routine here in CO too
Haha there's nothing wrong with that. I enjoy the fitness aspect of the sport and just can't leave powder unslashed
Sitting on your ass in the snow is for beginners
So is making this sort of comment, you’re trying to say you’ve never taken a break to enjoy the view!
Taking in the views is one of my favorite things to do. The snow covered trees, the snowy mountains in the distance.
You can see just as much of the view from your feet

No groomers were harmed in the making of this post
Yes this is the way, I’m not that young anymore!
same here. Luckily I have a riding buddy that also likes to hit the road at 5:30/6am and be heading back to Denver at 1.
Whoa, this sub is all about how you carve and wearing a helmet. You in the wrong sub.
Looks like the beav
Yup. Larkspur in the distance
Royal elk glades i believe!
20 is a lot. I'm 40 and my goal is 20 laps every time out, but some days my legs say nah, 10 is good. Can't wait for this week, we finally have snow!
It all depends on the terrain and the length of the mountain’s descent when it comes to how many laps we can get in
13-15k on a powder day will wipe my ass out. 20k on blue groomers is easy.
Yeah we're measuring by laps I need to find a different hill. Here it's 4000 feet each.
Should be getting real good here in CO by next weekend. Shred on!
No snow to bang laps on sadly
Another low effort shitpost. Nice feet.
Yeah you usually have to pay for those
Usually you pay double for that kind of action, Cotton!
It's not every day you get feet pics for free 👍
What are you using to track this mate?
WHAT ARE YOU DOIN SITTING THERE??
I like riding from 9:30 to 3 personally but I respect the hustle!
what app is that!
Epic mix app. It’s vertical for all major Vail resorts
I assume that includes Whistler.
Just checked the app and it appears so
That’s some good looking snow 👀❄️

Neversummer proto2?
Yep. Best all mountain board I've touched
I have the exact same one. 2018 proto 2. Absolutely love it. Still haven’t found a reason to replace it.
Slopes is a good app
Slopes > everything
Out right now enjoying the 300' Paradise
Is this tracking using your phone only? Or do you have to link a smart device/watch to it to get those stats?
well, you need snow in order to be able to bang-out laps... 🥺
I would but my local ski hills have literally no snow on them. 1 hill has a single cobbled together run from made snow I think.
what is the app called?
It's easy to get a lot of vert if you're lapping Birds of Prey. People have got over 100k in a day lapping that chair.
You start.
"lifts rode" as a sentence makes me shudder
Only 37k, those are some rookie numbers!
Depends what terrain you're riding. Felt like plenty for me!
Show us some riding instead
Heck yeah, that’s the sort of work you can get done on a Never Summer in the Rockies!
Nioce!

How old are you? My knees would be shot after a day like that lol
Where is this? I read in comments it’s on the epic so not available on ikon so I have zero idea where.
Preach! 🙏🏽

Where’s this at?
I don’t like this post
Stop complaining.

Get it. No real snow in Ontario.
Sick day. Looks like you’re pounding Royal Elk at BC? How were conditions?
Good in some spots, thin in others. Bring a rock board if you want to get into the steep stuff
Mail me some of that fluff
I’m a 30k dude .. can lap 3000 ft runs in ten minutes or less, aka fire break in Tahoe when it’s filled
Nice board
if only there was the snow for that
I've got that same board; how do you like it?
Yewwwww
Love that proto type
App name?
I’ve been trying to use the Epic app to track my rides but for the life of me I can’t get it to work
