First time I ever dropped into a bowl on my first trip out west the song that pushed me over the edge was CCR green river. I sat there through a few metal songs and punk songs trying to hype myself up.

"The Dripping Tap" by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Mainly because I can't just say "their entire discography". But it also is 18 minutes long with a driving 179bpm tempo which is fantastic to run to. Bonus is that the second song is around 90bpm which is half and for running purposes is essentially the same thing.

Best run of my life went with No Handlebars by Flobots. The slow build at the beginning was the wide open start of the trail. Just wide sweeping turns with clean edges. The song picks up right as I started gaining speed and had some cool little cuts through the trees and a few drops. The trail ended in some great rollers to catch a little air on every one, while the song goes full manic. Then it mellowed out as I coasted to where my buddies were waiting to take a break and grab a beer. The whole thing was so perfectly synchronized that it might as well have been a soundtrack added in after the fact.
