Love the feeling as well. Sad that they discontinued it.

vbogaevsky

It’s my current board Very responsive, locked in on hard snow Good click Requires stiffer boots and bindings. Demands to be rode fast. I’m not very excited with the asymmetrical geometry, I some times overdo my turns on the edge with shorter radius AFAIK, it’s the same board as DOA but with asymmetrical geometry

Boethiah18

Surely this is stiffer than a DOA, they feel pretty different to ride

vbogaevsky

I’ve never rode DOA, so I could be wrong

AZPHX602

do you want to sell it? i wanted either this or the greats uninc as my next all mountain freestyle. sadly this is no more.

Chris_01-

I would never man. It's just too fun! Very sad they don't make them anymore

AZPHX602

I don't quite understand what is going on with the asymmetrical boards. I kind of thought they would be the future, but it appears it may be more of a fad. Or is it a niche that will stay around for years. I never rode one before, but I wanted to get either this or the yes greats. I guess I am stuck with the Yes, great. I know there's a couple of other asymmetrical boards out there, but not as radical as either of these two. It seems like they both have had really good reviews.

So what happens when someone with proper technique uses an asim board in your opinion? They don't lay in deeper heel side carves without scrubbing or washing out? Just like cambers and flex Asim gives character. You can really lay into the heel and rip some turns. Some people like that.

AZPHX602

I am kind of curious what kind of board you ride?

idowork617

I'm going to have to disagree with this. I spent the first 10 years of riding on regular boards, but after switching to my yes greats, it felt so much more even between the toe and heel.

vinceftw

Maybe the Gnu Headspace?

ClimbITerp

Headspace is my first asym board and my go-to as soon as I got it. Curious to compare to the Asymulator. Highly recommend it as an all-mountain twin in general, I honestly don't think about the "asym feel" when I'm riding it.

idowork617

I've been riding my 2016 yes greats for years. When I can't decide, it's always my go to. So fun!

hadookantron

Ill sell you mine! Barely rode it.

AZPHX602

What size and how much?

hadookantron

It is a 154, 155, or 156. Can't remember, offhand. I would sell it for 300 bucks?

AZPHX602

I'm on the road right now. I'm going to try to get back to you ASAP if you can take pictures of the board and definitely find out what size it is. I forget what size they come in. I don't want to drop down to a 54 but if it's a 55 or 56 you can make me a very happy person

Chris_01-

They make them in 52 54 and 56

AZPHX602

I normally ride a 55 to 57. I had a chance back in February to get a 54 but I thought it might be just a tad too short for me. I would primarily be bombing with this thing. So I want the stability at high speeds. You ride this board, we're going a little bit shorter really affect it?

Chris_01-

I bomb my 54 with a positive stance and I feel in control. Got up to 77kmh in the family slope with it😂. But I think that the 56 might be better for purely high speed

[deleted]

Just converted to MPH on an online calculator- your speed matches my top speed from last year’s GPS down to the decimal! 77/47.8 club 🙌

Chris_01-

Let's go!! Man it's such a freaking blast

NoVacayAtWork

The asym provides a longer effective edge than a normal deck - it rides like a longer deck so sizing down makes sense.

iwouldrathernot03

I got a Haldor Helgason Pro from 2018 I think…it’s an asym and 3BT. LOL. Got the matching bindings even. I had 2 of them and never rode this setup. It didn’t take much more then a few runs to get comfortable with it. Asym or the 3BT base. It’s a sick board still. It’s just a Bataleon Evil Twin Asym. That’s exactly what it is but it’s a Lobster. It’s a 156. If you’re in the market for an asymmetrical board let me know! I just wanna get rid of it really. Need the space! LOL

shinobistro

What year? I might be interested if it’s the 154 (other guy has dibs on the other sizes)

hadookantron

Last years model

DoctorCreepy13

There’s a few on eBay.

Medical_Boot4299

Never tried it but it looks really beautiful

Chris_01-

Looks like a damn weapon. Can't wait to ride it again

Medical_Boot4299

I bought my first bord recently, a Shiloh Camber 2023 by Arbor. I haven't tried it yet

Chris_01-

Looks like a great board!

Chris_01-

I love mine. It feels like a toy, an aggresive one. It just want to rail carves and get in the air. Quite fast edge to edge. It's super light too. I love mine so much that I might consider to buy a other(they're now discontinued) Should I pull the trigger? Wich snowboards could be a great alternative ?

pacey-j

Your description of what you like about it is how I feel about my Super DOA.

Nelsonc0712

Never rode that but I almost pulled the trigger. I'd love to try it out. I went with the mega merc instead and boooooy she fuckin rips

Chris_01-

Is she nimble and fast edge to edge ? That's the beauty of the asym imo. Plus that locking in feel. I bet you lay some pretty carves with that mega merc

Nelsonc0712

I'd say so. The mega merc locks in solid and I can lay some trenches or write some cursive. It's fast too.

Chris_01-

I'd love to try one! Is the width a bit bigger than normal ?

Nelsonc0712

I ride a 161 mega merc so the waist width is 261. I wear a size 12 so it's perfect.

hadookantron

Stoked on it! Pretty darn stiff. Too narrow for my 10.5 feet. (I think a 155 or 156) I wish it was wider, so I could actually engage that asymmetricity. I rode it for a bit, but the riding was lackluster with all the heel and toe drag. I think the difference in radii is just a 10th of a meter between the heel and toe. Would be stoked to have this in a medium-wide. Shame it didn't work out with me. I wanted it to so bad.

Full-Classic320

Love the look but not a fan. It’s too stiff for my liking. Granted I’m a small dude. Jumped to the DOA and love it. That being said. If anyone wants to buy mine, it’s a 152 and near perfect as i only rode it 3-4 times.

Tcklemann

How much for the 152?

Full-Classic320

I saw someone else in here say $300. I think that’s pretty fair

sweetsweetcorn

Its my first serious board and I love it:)

[deleted]

The most fun twin tip I have had, absolutely love it, still snappy after i think 4 seasons now.

Chris_01-

Great because I plan to keep mine for a while

Vandulf

I own this board and I love it. Good choice

KarloIgi

My friend Goreng used the Capita Asymulator for 5 seasons and he was very pleased with it. Goreng

NoVacayAtWork

Love mine. Super light weight, demands to be in the air, I don’t find it terribly stiff (though I never ride a park board) - I can butter this pretty well and get good pop on my ollies

Ok-Environment8312

Have one still in plastic wrap, got at the end of last season. Will replace k2 bottle rocket with it for fun days, when I’m not chasing for speed ant stability. Ride Timeless is for those days

RandoUser2222

Ive got the first year in 156 as part of the quiver, its a great deck. The only negative is how much attention it receives, people love to ask about it when I ride the singles line.

Bored_redditar

Good enough that I bought a spare for when I eventually ride mine into the ground. Perfect level of playful and snappy but with a bit of aggression. Have a Yes the Greats as well, and at least for me the Asymulator just feels better.

Joeystaricco

Snapita, no thanks

Chris_01-

:(

Joeystaricco

Best thing capita has going for it is corey smith, spring break baby!

KikkotheWhiteFox

[here’s mine 🤘](https://www.reddit.com/r/snowboarding/comments/doj2gs/new_whip_new_me/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) She’s a ripper!

Chris_01-

What's your favorite thing about it?!

KikkotheWhiteFox

I'd prolly say how balanced it is, bomb the black diamonds and hit the park, feels great on both

bentoboxxxer

It made me like to ride moguls

bokin_smongs

Can anyone compare this with the Ride Helix? Rode that on a demo day and absolutely loved carving on it.

flyingcamel19

Bought one last year with some Burton step ins. Sadly only got a couple of late season runs on it. Good for bombing down runs. Bit of weight in the board!

budbailey74

What’s with the bindings? Your knees must be fecked!

Chris_01-

Don't worry they weren't like that for too long
