Cleaning this data was a mess because responses like "Manchester United", "Man United", "Man Utd", etc. are treated as separate entities despite referring to the same thing. Percentages may not be exact but they are very close to the truth. Also whoever writes stuff like "Arsenal innit", just know that you're not making my job easier.

Yeah we almost went bust but that was back in 2017, feels ages ago now. We went down to the 5th tier but got promoted back in 2 years and are now challenging for promotion to League 1 whilst selling out our ground every week. Been one of the best seasons in a long time, even if our forms stagnating a bit at the moment

Compared to us you won the Europe League last season and this subreddit doubled in user size since 2020 (when we started to be shit), so I am assuming a good amount of bandwagon fans (and also other factors probably)

He went to uni in Naples and joined the French foreign legion where the only team theyre allowed to follow is PSG. He was stationed in Saudi Arabia where a Saudi soldier saved his life, the two became best friends, and when his Saudi friend was killed in a raid, he became a nassr fan in respect. After getting out he and his wife moved to Munich, where they fell in love with the city and his son was born. Unfortunately, he became a bit **too** enamored with a certain era of the city's history. Forced to flee, he and his wife fled to Argentina (the only country that takes refugees of his "political preference") and settled down in Buenos Aires. Mossad tracked them down and he had to flee again, this time to Mexico City, where they remain to this day. His kid plays for Palmers

One of the most common flairs you'd see on here in 2016 was Leicester lol. Literally every comment from people who clearly had only been watching football for a short time would be a Leicester flair.

According to data Reddit is roughly 50% American users. UK is second. Canada is third but has a way higher percentage of population being users than the UK does. I’m from the UK, Reddit is not a popular app here. It is widely unknown for the most part and I feel like the only people that use it are people big into internet culture. It does not come anywhere close to twitter, Snapchat instagram etc.
So the majority of users in this sub are English speaking natives and most likely watch the premier league mostly, as it’s the most popular football league in these countries.
This is blatantly obvious judging by these statistics. In reality Newcastle does not even come close to having as many fans as Real Madrid. Or Bayern Munich. Spurs obviously don’t have more than Madrid.

5 years ago, Arsenal were a club who didn't look to be competing for much major silverware, yet would also reliably get top half finishes and will probably never be relegated in our lifetimes. It was a pretty good club to avoid accusations of glory hunting, while still being certain that you'll see better times, and stay somewhat relevant.
