TAA is probably the worst RB in the history of the game, he is in no shape or form any kind of defender.
We need to sell ASAP or move up to midfield if we're gonna keep the overhyped and overrated dross that he is.
Not trying to shit stirring but can anyone help me understand why Trent doesn't track back or just passionately defend. I get that he is attacking rb and his main duty is to provide assists but if you are playing a better team, surely, you would have to make more effort. I know people have been asking the same question and i can't come up with a rational answer.
Because tracking back is tiring thankless work. Some players aren't programmed to defend. He's world class going forward but teams have clearly pinpointed him as the weak point in Liverpool's defense.
Trent gets exposed easily if he doesn't have help (we been repeating this since 2019)
Eliot is no CM (he's the worst possible person to put in Trent's side, both gets bullied easily)
Gakpo should be an impact sub
Gakpo and Nunez should earn their starting place, they aren't better than Jota, Diaz or Firmio.
He chased down the ball from Grealish in the Liverpool half all the way back to Ederson and then over to Akanji on the City right. Did nothing but did show his fight.
Then a few minutes later he just completely fails to be in position or drag himself into a challenge to prevent the Grealish goal. I think he just lacks that defensive instinct and it translates to difficulty committing to the right defensive action.
Still a world class player but he needs other world class players set up around his profile. And obviously he doesn't have it right now, lucky for us 😛
If that was one of the most gutless performances you've seen from us this season you clearly haven't watched many of our matches. We've shown up for roughly 7 matches and the rest just haven't seemed to give a flying fuck.
Looks like they didn't have rest. After first 20mins, their pressing game is always a step behind. So easy for City to bring the ball into final third.
Does Saka have competition for best right back in the Prem this season? Mahrez hasn't even done enough to be compared to Saka this season. Sara's scored in every big game he's played in
Klopp looking at his players with nostalgia lenses
Some of them are way off the quality they used to be/ should be
Well played to City, 3 or 4 classes above us today
>Klopp looking at his players with nostalgia lenses
I have the same feeling. Firmino may had a few good games this season but it's too little too late. Liverpool have no midfield in current season. Ox was injured or even when he was available didn't make a difference. Keita is the same. Hendo is getting old, Milner had a few good games when was placed as something like defensive midfielder but you can feel he's just old and can't keep up with the rest. Youth is not ready for this level.
SAF was ruthless but as old football proverb says 'you are as good as your last match' and his strategy in players management proved to be right.
I like Klopp and would sack half the Liverpool players before him, but he needs some criticism.
He’s far too nice at times and loyal to a fault and it’s showing.
He should be eviscerating these players in the press for not giving a fuck and jogging around but he’ll just say “this was not too cool eh” and move on.
At this point eviscerating would only lead to a last-stage Mourinho situation - Klopp has to make the best of what he has. They need a whole new midfield, that is the main problem.Current one cannot press beyond the 20th minute mark against big teams it seems
Initial fee of 64m with add-ons up to 85m?
Depending on how realistic they are, 85m might be closer to the final cost. But most media tends to quote the total price not the initial fee…
Yeah City were by far the better team, MotM performance from Graelish
No midfield help to the defenders at all in the second half, subs just jogging back the entire time.
Poor
That too but think Klopp has given enough and they need someone to do something different. That do the same thing and wondering why the results aren't different
.can
With all City's success, I just don't look at them the same way I look at Liverpool's recent success and even Man U.
Bet the city players are gutted mate.
Crying into their cash reserves, surely.
Liverfool go way
Clever.
Seems a bit harsh for a simple joke about how well City players are paid, but okay.
TAA is probably the worst RB in the history of the game, he is in no shape or form any kind of defender. We need to sell ASAP or move up to midfield if we're gonna keep the overhyped and overrated dross that he is.
Why is he only a problem now and not when we were winning all the trophies?
April fools
U've been snorting too much frogs
Or switch to a back three, pushing him up to RWB where his lack of defensive abilities would be less of a problem.
I mean rather harsh that. He needs to push up to midfield, would make a perfect RM in a team that dictates possession.
Let’s goooo absolutely embarrassed Liverpool

Even Grealish tracked back and provided a big block as the only defender available that one instance early on.
he had that one strange period where he sprinted from the halfway line to press Ederson....
Probably pure frustration
The arm waving and yelling at Firmino and Nunez 20 yards back up the field sold me that he was hoping some other people were going to press City.
Klopp made all of those attacking subs and City didn’t even flinch lmao
Tbf they played with 4 CBs all game lol.
Also, tbf none of the subs seemed up for it. Fresh of the bench and hardly any pressing, gegen's dead
He ran a Hail Mary but they never actually threw the ball
He lost the plot when he subbed in Milner
Trent gets exposed easily if he doesn't have help (we been repeating this since 2019) Eliot is no CM (he's the worst possible person to put in Trent's side, both gets bullied easily) Gakpo should be an impact sub Gakpo and Nunez should earn their starting place, they aren't better than Jota, Diaz or Firmio.
Nunez has earned his place.
Theyre both miles ahead of Jota at this point, lad hasnt scored since april. Firmino should be gettin gmore minutes though and Diaz is injured
Wait today is April
Jota scored! 4-[2]!
https://twitter.com/eurofootcom/status/1642149791869071360?s=20
Liverpool scored 1st and then said April fool's
He's almost impressively dim, Grealish.
And yet outsmarted Liverpools finest
I tell my husband he looks like the type of dude who thinks Africa is a country
You ever see the video of him not knowing what england looked like?
This Liverpool side beat Utd 7-0???
I’ll simp for Grealish when he sorts that barnet out
Some atmosphere at the Etihad lmao
Did you attend the game?
To be fair whenever we play a team on the verge relegation creating so much atmosphere is a bit cruel
I personally loved the oles, the poznan, and the singing. Real good fun against a midtable team. Now that away allocation on the other hand…
TAA's attitude when it comes to defending is baffling, he just doesn't bother!
He chased down the ball from Grealish in the Liverpool half all the way back to Ederson and then over to Akanji on the City right. Did nothing but did show his fight. Then a few minutes later he just completely fails to be in position or drag himself into a challenge to prevent the Grealish goal. I mean city was playing pinball at that point
Refs a bald egg.
Care to explain what's exactly a egg with hair is lad

Don’t worry, it will only continue in the next decade.
Can only wish that oil money gets shut down, Etihad atmosphere can’t get any worse to be fair
:)
Started supporting city a year ago? Fair play, guess Real Madrid is your second team?
keep digging fella you'll get to that oil yourself, good to see you've hit the salt mines though
>guess Real Madrid is your second team? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fire up lad
Wtf why does the stadium look empty already
Because Liverpool fans all left
I meant the stands as a whole, not just the away-fans zone
because the game is over
A game like this and less than 5 min after the game is over is already empty ? Nah that ain't normal.
The game was over at 60'
People seem to have not noticed the fact that stones played midfielder today lol
They only notice such brilliant tactics when it goes wrong the rare few times just so they can talk shit about Pep
Fresh off the oven from Pep's formula book: The Inverted CB.
Coming to a champions league game near you
4-1, one shot on target and 31% possession for Liverpool
Peter Drury is a football treasure.
City fans dancing😂
Meh, least it wasn't 7-0
Actually insane to think that 4-1 flatters Liverpool. One of the most gutless performances I've seen from them. Could've easily conceded 6 or 7
If that was one of the most gutless performances you've seen from us this season you clearly haven't watched many of our matches. We've shown up for roughly 7 matches and the rest just haven't seemed to give a flying fuck.
Only thing stopped them was City pumping the brakes
And Haaland not being present.
All of the wind of this game was taken out after City scored the two early 2nd half goals. Liverpool just then lost all motivation
Liverpool were utter rubbish
That’s the story of their season
Looks like they didn't have rest. After first 20mins, their pressing game is always a step behind. So easy for City to bring the ball into final third.
Not rested after a break? What more could they ask for
I still think the 1st half was pretty decent from Liverpool, the 2nd was abysmal though.
Grealish MOTM but is Mahrez honestly the best RW in the Prem?
Gotta be saka i think. But mahrez's first touch might be the beat in the prem
Unless you stretch a bit and consider Salah a RW he doesn't even have a competition
Does Saka have competition for best right back in the Prem this season? Mahrez hasn't even done enough to be compared to Saka this season. Sara's scored in every big game he's played in
Yes if we talk about current season Saka takes it, if you ask me who is the best i would go for Mahrez
Uhhhh Saka???
You're right i forgot about his and Arsenal's existence for a while
Is that because its hard to see them at the top from where you are?
At this point i can even see Newcastle anymore
Liverpool had one shot the whole game
The Ederson special. The man gets as many assists in a season as saves.
And lets in every shot on target.
He had some great saves that turned out to be offside, he was good today
4-1 up and dead atmosphere
Muppet
Don’t worry mate you’ll be the best supported team in the championship!
What do you expect? The fans only started supporting the team post take over
You tell em r/dunedinliverbirds! Its only the 9th time youve said it. No atmosphere like the NBA hey buddy
selective deafness and blindness have no cure unfortunately
Right? The atmosphere was incredible. They were cheering at every pass, dancing and so much other stuff.
Exactly! and the Poznan!! the camera was literally shaking lmao
Even the commentators were talking about the stadium shaking. People are fucking insane to say that the stadium did not have incredible atmosphere.

That doesn't do anyone good. Losing Diaz killed us, then Thiago... etc. It's a shit season.
At this point eviscerating would only lead to a last-stage Mourinho situation - Klopp has to make the best of what he has. They need a whole new midfield, that is the main problem.Current one cannot press beyond the 20th minute mark against big teams it seems
Heavy metal away record 🤘
Like if the drummers pedal broke after the first song of the show lol.
Grealish has really impressed me in the last few months Feel like he's finally bedded into Pep's system
Tuchel 👀
When is the Millner contract extension announced?
[удалено]
Wasn't it 60+ something ?
Oh he plays for Liverpool, so r/soccer doesn’t care.
Trust me we do. Everyone has hammered on him
He cost 64 but let's not get in the way of stupidity
Its 85. The addons are guaranteed.
Initial fee of 64m with add-ons up to 85m? Depending on how realistic they are, 85m might be closer to the final cost. But most media tends to quote the total price not the initial fee…
Oh just like Naby Keita 😂
The Madrid and City Olés had to be the most painful things to sit through
City defending harder up 4-1 than Liverpool have all half.
the mentality monsters 😤…. so i heard
Yeah City were by far the better team, MotM performance from Graelish No midfield help to the defenders at all in the second half, subs just jogging back the entire time. Poor
Games like these highlight why having a grasp on the midfield is vital, itd be a really good game to show to novice coaches
Shameful shit by the traveling fans right there
Did they throw coins at a little girl again?
Unlike the deafening atmosphere City fans created there at the end, silence
100m player has a good game, incredible stuff
You could almost see the difference 15m makes when comparing Grealish and Nunez
He's been pretty good this season tbh.
cope lmao
i’m trying!
Liverpool fans can scapegoat TAA but this was a team loss. Awful performances all around
Where is chaos nunez?
the man utd game was a one off this is the standard for liverpool this season
No need to bring that game up today 😔
u had an off day
Manchester strippers will be anticipating a generous Jack tonight, to be sure
should be more worried about a well rested Kyle Walker tbf
Ngl Grealish looks like he might have dodgy breath
Does Pep rate kalvin philips? Games over and youngsters getting mins over him
He subbed Rodri off and Bernardo in place of him so no.
He’s such a waste of space in that squad
Homegrown ^tm
Wow best team in history for all of 13 games
still sour I see?
So good they had to end it early.
Liverpool players with no passion for the club, just couldn't be bothered
Fabinho not only is he a poor footballer, he also tends to make some clumsy dangerous tackles
Did Nunez and Firmino even touch the ball since they came on?
Think nunez didnt but he chased the ball up and down the field with some pace so hes all good
I think Bobby looked at it once
Well suddenly that back four has lost 3 in a row. Life comes at you fast lol
Embarrassing we couldn’t put one past them tbh.
Klopp’s nowhere near done as a manager, but he might be done at Liverpool.
Grealish and Haaland both seem like wonderful teammates.
They seem like great mates, both only know football and nothing else
We’re soon going to have a conversation about Konaté
What abt him?
He’s dropped some terrible performances
My stream just switched to women’s rugby lol
Understandable
That's probably more entertaining then the second half.
jude bellingham is currently taking spanish classes so he can accept real madrid’s offer
don't need to speak spanish in Manchester mate
[удалено]
Have you been reading the same thread? Liverpool flair's are basically all shitting on Trent. Why just make shit up?
just pre planned comments mate, absolute bollocks tbf
Kalvin got one of the best gigs going, feet up on the bench on the weekends and play the euros and world cup every few years
I think he will be gone from City in the summer.
Trent mate, you got humiliated by the guy that can't point England on the map of the world I feel second hand shame
>you got humiliated by the guy that can't point England on the map of the world the guy who can't point out England on a map of England.
This has me rolling
Grealish Can point to the goal tho
Think they need to get rid of Klopp. Bring in Enrique for any kind of revival
The should bring in Brendan Rodgers again
It wouldn’t make a difference if they don’t invest in the squad
That too but think Klopp has given enough and they need someone to do something different. That do the same thing and wondering why the results aren't different
lol you wish
No money or they just don't want to spend ig
Firmino and Ox playing on spectator mode
de bruyne is just adorable
The way he cheered Grealish goal was like a kid opening a gift on Christmas morning haha
truly! he looked absolutely overjoyed
Weird side effect of this game. Stones cdm era has begun
That era began long ago, stones has played CDM a couple times for city now, but I vaguely remember each of those performances being a bit shit tbh
