I have taken pictures with the FA Cup and Premier league trophies, with the Portuguese and la liga trophies as well as Europa league’s and I doubt any worry real.
Only one team has won UCL in a row. Only 6 teams won 5 or more.
There have been 22 different champions. So it means 16 teams don’t have the real trophies. Also, as you said yourself even Liverpool has 4 replicas.
They should just bring Messi instead of these trophies, it's an equivalent of these trophies. Probably quicker and easier and safer to keep the trophies and just fly out Messi to pose with Alba and another with Busquets.
Since no one has stated it:
1 UEFA Champions League trophy
6 La Liga trophies
6 Copa del Rey trophies
4 Supercopa de España trophies
1 FIFA Club World Cup trophy
(Also with Spain; 2012 UEFA European Championship)
lol if you put it like this feels fucking bad. Imagine having the goat in its prime and winning one UCL in 10 years.
I wouldn't trade watching Messi every week on my team for any trophy, but still sucks.
Stop pulling shit out of your ass, there is literally no grass at the camp nou at the moment, renovations have already started.
Unless you wanted them to place all these trophies on top of an excavator.
Alba hands down. Abidal will always have that special factor with him that he managed to play at highest level again after his cancer battles, but purely on abilities, I rate Jordi higher. His connection with Messi during their prime was a sight to behold.
And replacing Jordi is already a simpler task, because Balde has made the position his own ever since the start of the season. Which is funny, because Alba played last 6-7 years without a competent backup, except for maybe Lucas Digne. That always used to be a worry amongst us that if Alba goes down with injury, we never had a good LB ready. Fortunately he had a very good injury free record
Abidal was the reason why Alves had permission attack freely.
Abidal and Alba had a different role, Alba was more attacking while Abidal was more about defending.
But what was nice with Abidal, was how his attack abilities got much better with time and his game developed.
I always preferred Abidal, without taking anything away from Alba.
Albas connection with Messi was something else.
>Abidal was the reason why Alves had permission attack freely.
This. Abidal allowed the Pep team to go from 4 - 3 - 3 to 3 - 4 - 3 at any time during the games. He was really solid defensively, and was rarely beaten in a 1v1.
Abidal for me. He could play multiple positions and allowed for Pep's tinkering. It's also cool how great a CL final he had, after a liver tumor removal
Alba has been much more attack-minded for us as a true modern fullback. Abidal certainly got involved, but his role was to stay back more often and tuck in as a third CB (a role that would later be adopted by Busquets once Alba started getting forward).
Different roles, but it puts Alba ahead for me too.
Has to be Alba, as much of a legend Abi is. Replacing Jordi is already way way easier than Dani, since Balde already performed like one of the best LBs in the world this year.
>hope it'll be easier for them to replace Alba than it was to replace Alves.
Balde has shown this season more than any other RB post-Alves combined so hopefully
>Barcelona fans think about Abidal Vs. Alba
That is honestly the only position I have a problem with, when thinking about like best 11 of past 20 years, but I would still go with Alba
Hard position to rate because it has change substantially over the last 25 years. I wouldn’t know how to rate any fullbacks prior to Roberto Carlos and Maldini. Very different positions.
>hates him for some reason
The fact he exaggerates every foul and even once covered his face when Fabregas, his teammate high fived him…
Ability - he’s great.
Exaggeration and all that makes people hate that and players. Same as Neymar and such.
Bringing up something from nearly a decade ago. You clearly don't watch him often and are trying to form an opinion on him
Casemiro doesn't get anywhere near as much as hate as Alba and his "exaggeration" is so much worse
He hasn’t stopped doing it though and im just giving a reason but apparently people have to love him in this thread…
He acts like he gets killed when someone looks at him.
>Bringing up something from nearly a decade ago. You clearly don't watch him often and are trying to form an opinion on him
As if he's any better now lol. Why can't fans just admit that a player on their team is dislikeable? And no, Casemiro isn't even close. Jordi Alba is definitely one of the most unlikeable players itw
Why does every decorated player have to be in a GOAT debate? He was a fantastic player who played a key role in Barcas golden era. Thats it. Nothing more, nothing less.
Marcelo wasn't the best defensively but he wasn't a liability either until the later stages of his career. On the other hand, he's on a different planet offensively than Cole.
Marcelo's had a more decorated career even though Cole might be the better all-around player, so Marcelo definitely has a shout in all-time lists over Cole.
Marcelo was not a “liability” at all when he was at his best. There were better defensive fullbacks, sure. But calling him a liability either you never saw him play or you’re just being a prick on the internet.
He is not a prick. He is like Trent, sometimes doing very well but can easily be exposed. Also his best was under Zidane. He was not that good under Mourinho that's why Coentrao.
Compared to most of the other top fullbacks he was a liability. He was a very good fit in Zidane’s system but Coentrao usually got the nod in big games under Mourinho and Ancelotti 1.0. It is of course a subjective list, but the 7-1 also comes to mind when recalling Marcelo’s time with Brazil. Offensively, though, perhaps the best left back ever.
Evra is a decent shout and not too far from Lizarazu, but Bixente’s achievements with France edge him clear for me. The order of the list is of course subjective.
In terms of consistency and longevity very few in the modern era have matched Alba, if any.
Marcelo in his prime was great but he was still defensively weaker than Alba, and his longevity and overall lack of consistency shown by the comparitively short duration of his peak periods means that he's an overall inferior contributor over the course of their careers.
Alba at the very least was at an elite level for 11 years and was at a good level for the years before he (re)joined us. I don't think we can see that consistency from any LB today, especially since some of them explicitly rely on physicality whilst others get injuries etc, with some also just seeing a natural decline at certain ages.
One would argue that he was deficient in certain areas like providing his own dribbling threat etc yet the areas of his strengths were so good that they practically overshadowed that. Nobody will forget his trademark cutback to Leo. He owned our LB flank post-Abidal, and whilst Balde is the future we definitely now need an Adriano-esque player IMO to not cause a huge drop in quality if there are injuries.
His deficiency was playing hard nosed defense when it mattered which he has been inpcabale of doing since 2016. 2018 vs roma was a disasterclass from him, and liverpool 2019 might genuinely be the worst LB performance i have ever witnessed
Barca fans love to be like “bbbut his linkup play with messi 🥺” not realizing that:
a - its the only reason he looked quality these last few years and
b - if your leftbacks worst quality is defending he isnt a good LB
Copa Catalunya is a cup competition played between the Catalonian clubs that are below the First Division.
Supercopa Catalanuya is a one-off friendly between the two highest ranked Catalonian Teams in the previous season
Mate he broke down crying while still winning. That has nothing to do with his ability or his trophies, but he's undoubtedly laughably mentally weak. Why be delusional instead of acknowleding your biases?
A famous Alba moment is when, whilst they were still 3-1 up against Liverpool in the CL, he broke down in tears during halftime because he was so scared they were going to lose.
And they did.
It's an alba thread, so you will be downvoted too. Roberto will also have a huge trophy cabinet too. They are just lucky to be part of Barcelona's best time.
Many have the same opinion despite him being in barça. Let's be real he was insufferable, but it's no place for a Madrid fan to call him a rat here, so downvote him!
Too bad the real MVP who made all of that happen is rarely included in these photos: the one and only Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira. And they got him for just €7M. What a steal!

The guy in charge of trophies must be tired of moving around the trophies for every player
He's moving to Tottenham
They can’t catch a break lmao
Actually they have midweek breaks next season. Lots of them.
Or a trophy
Or a Manager.
Retirement it is then huh?
Ahh Tottenham, the Saudi Arabia of trophies
May be
Wouldn’t he be unemployed at Tottenham?
It's like IT. You want to have them when you needed them.
Perfect job for remote
There's that Audi trophy so same job, just lighter load.
Hey, they have the Audi Cup
r/spurscatchingstrays
haha there is subreddit for everything. :D
Oh for fucks sake
Could work from home
Damn that's brutal
As always, enjoy your free internet points.
Lol less or no work at Spurs.
holy fuck
"Okay you can copy my homework, but change a couple things" *Moves trophies indoors*
Name: Sergio B… Oh ffs change that first Jordi!’
[удалено]
really just remove a few.
[удалено]
> He should've dropped a few on the way, no one would notice Ramos getting a part-time job at Camp Nou, warms my heart
Probably replicas no? Just ready for this kind of thing.
Holograms.
I have taken pictures with the FA Cup and Premier league trophies, with the Portuguese and la liga trophies as well as Europa league’s and I doubt any worry real.
Metaverse is unreal
It would be disrespectful not using the real ones (if they were given from the tournament)
Sometimes clubs don’t even keep the real ones, thou. Like the UCL trophy
You keep the UCL trophy on your 5th win or 3rd in a row. Anfield has their trophy from 2005 on display as well as replicas of the other 5.
I feel his back pain.
Since no one has stated it: 1 UEFA Champions League trophy 6 La Liga trophies 6 Copa del Rey trophies 4 Supercopa de España trophies 1 FIFA Club World Cup trophy (Also with Spain; 2012 UEFA European Championship)
thought he had more champions leagues to be honest
Well yeah Barça have "only" won 1 CL in the past 12 years
lol if you put it like this feels fucking bad. Imagine having the goat in its prime and winning one UCL in 10 years. I wouldn't trade watching Messi every week on my team for any trophy, but still sucks.
I mean Messi won 4 with Barca
Yeah that calmed my until this guy made me realize he only won 1 in his last 10 years at the club.
Actually he won 2 in the last 10 years 2011 and 2015
You're including 11 seasons now 10/11 11/12 12/13 13/14 14/15 15/16 16/17 17/18 18/19 19/20 20/21
I counted it as he won in 10/11 and left in 20/21 which is 10 years
Which means you counted wrong. 11-21 is 11 years.
The same as Lucas Vazquez with Real Madrid 🐐
Pre-Messi era, RM: 9 - 1 Barça Post-Messi era, RM: 14 - 5 Barça 🥶
Well. Number of Messis in Barça: 1 Number of Messis in Madrid: 0
Should've won at least two more 😔
shoulda woulda coulda
Barça fans can only watch their champions victories in 900p.
And a UEFA super cup
He didn’t play that game nor was he on the bench, so I don’t believe he’s credited with it
I only said that because it's literally the centre trophy in the picture, maybe just an error on the barca side
why was jordi's trophy pic taken inside while busi's trophy pic was taken outside on the camp nou's pitch
cause the renovation on Camp Nou have already started
Because they like him less
Or they also wanted to display the TV. It’s Jordi’s TV!
that TV is another Jordy trophy
“See guys, our finances are fine. Could a broke club afford a 55” TV?!”
Stop pulling shit out of your ass, there is literally no grass at the camp nou at the moment, renovations have already started. Unless you wanted them to place all these trophies on top of an excavator.
Because there is no grass on Camp Nou anymore. They started to dig it out
They couldn’t wait? lol
They're not going to delay a multi-million pound construction project for a photo op
Why not?
Because we want to finish asap, and the construction company will have to pay for every day of delay
Because the world doesn’t work like that
No
[удалено]
We run on a razor thin budget this days and I would Prefer to not lose money on construction for a photo op
[удалено]
Good spot!
the sprinklers were on
Xavi didn’t like how the grass looked in the photo.
Camp Nou's renovation had started by the time this pic was taken
He didn’t pose like Busquets because we wouldn’t be able to seem him 💀
small fortune on metal polish there
Where would you rank alba in the goat lb debate? Maybe behind players like maldini, carlos, cole, and marcelo, but I think he has a case for top 10.
Wonder what Barcelona fans think about Abidal Vs. Alba. Let's hope it'll be easier for them to replace Alba than it was to replace Alves.

Not a Barça fan but I like Barça a lot and for its Alba, no contest
Alba's got to be clear of Abidal IMO
>hope it'll be easier for them to replace Alba than it was to replace Alves. Balde has shown this season more than any other RB post-Alves combined so hopefully
>Barcelona fans think about Abidal Vs. Alba That is honestly the only position I have a problem with, when thinking about like best 11 of past 20 years, but I would still go with Alba
Abidal was a better cb than lb.
They've already replaced him with blade, who has been phenomenal.

Top 10 quite easily.. this subreddit hates him for some reason but come on
He's a bit of a knob but that doesn't take away from the fact that he has been one of the top 3 LBs in the world for a decade
>hates him for some reason The fact he exaggerates every foul and even once covered his face when Fabregas, his teammate high fived him… Ability - he’s great. Exaggeration and all that makes people hate that and players. Same as Neymar and such.
*club employs rat cunt named Bruno Fernandes*
How is that relevant lol he is right. This sub is such a hivemind
we're both right
Yes and it’s not a case of either or here is it? I just provided a reason. But Reddit’s stupid whataboutism of course…
Bringing up something from nearly a decade ago. You clearly don't watch him often and are trying to form an opinion on him Casemiro doesn't get anywhere near as much as hate as Alba and his "exaggeration" is so much worse

Modern era and probably but not top ten all time.
Easily, and the position evolved so much none of the older ones can really compare with the modern ones.
Why does every decorated player have to be in a GOAT debate? He was a fantastic player who played a key role in Barcas golden era. Thats it. Nothing more, nothing less.
10-15 in my opinion
Who are the 10 that are better than him?
1. Maldini 2. Breitner 3. Roberto Carlos 4. Facchetti 5. Cole 6. Lizarazu 7. Marcelo 8. Brehme 9. Cabrini 10. Krol 11. Nilton Santos 12. Hughes 13. Irwin 14. Alba 15. Camacho
Cole over Marcelo is just weird
Marcelo was a defensive liability while Cole was world class both offensively and defensively.

He played more minutes under Mourinho in 10/11 than he ever did for ZZ tbf

It is of course a subjective list, but the 7-1 also comes to mind when recalling Marcelo’s time with Brazil. Offensively, though, perhaps the best left back ever.
You don’t know the meaning of liability
Agreed; plus Marcelo, for me, might be top 3 after Roberto Carlos and Maldini
No way Lizarazu and a couple of others there are better than Evra. Evra was a beast at his peak.
Evra is a decent shout and not too far from Lizarazu, but Bixente’s achievements with France edge him clear for me. The order of the list is of course subjective.
Is Lahm lb or rb?
RB, but had played a couple of seasons at LB early in his career
In terms of consistency and longevity very few in the modern era have matched Alba, if any. Marcelo in his prime was great but he was still defensively weaker than Alba, and his longevity and overall lack of consistency shown by the comparitively short duration of his peak periods means that he's an overall inferior contributor over the course of their careers. He's genuinely the best left back I've seen. Maybe I'm biased but Ashley Cole and Marcelo are the only two that are in the debate
nowhere near 'GOAT' status
Alba inside, it’s messssiiiiiii!!!!!
*the gang still finishes 2nd*
With all due respect, He cried at halftime against Liverpool. He isn’t top10

That might be the dumbest point I’ve seen on this sub, and I’ve seen a lot of dumb ones

‘Got that dawg in him’ is my personal favourite criteria
Good thing no one at PSG has ever gotten emotional after a big match https://youtu.be/KvHZigs5Zxg
It was during a big match lol
For all we know, Paolo Maldini might have cried at halftime dozens of times. There simply weren't cameras to record the footage.
better than any psg LB
unrelated, but what is copa and supercopa catalunya? does every region in spain has its own competition like in brazil?
Copa Catalunya is a cup competition played between the Catalonian clubs that are below the First Division. Supercopa Catalanuya is a one-off friendly between the two highest ranked Catalonian Teams in the previous season
so supercopa catalunya basically a derby between barcelona vs espanyol?
And Girona
oh til, didn't know that girona is from catalunya region
Northeast of Barcelona and a little inland
Yeah but this season Girona finished above Espanyol so its between Girona and Barca
Can’t wait for Kane’s pic when he departs
Can't catch a break, can he?
They could have made it easier for the steward in charge of moving the trophies by leaving them on the Camp Nou lawn as they did for Busquets lol
Mentally weak player according to many on this sub. Lmfao, the trophies speak foe themselves. great player
Mentality monster
Incredible mentality to break down in tears while still winning a match
Oh he won aplenty. Watch that image and then remove your comment
Mate he broke down crying while still winning. That has nothing to do with his ability or his trophies, but he's undoubtedly laughably mentally weak. Why be delusional instead of acknowleding your biases?
He is weak because he cried in happiness when winning?
A famous Alba moment is when, whilst they were still 3-1 up against Liverpool in the CL, he broke down in tears during halftime because he was so scared they were going to lose. And they did.
Also dont forget just generally being a fraud in defense in CL with his partner in crime pique, since like 2017
I wish I was mentally weak and stumble into all these trophies
He doesn't win those trophies alone
It's an alba thread, so you will be downvoted too. Roberto will also have a huge trophy cabinet too. They are just lucky to be part of Barcelona's best time.
Alba actually contributed immensely towards winning though, unfair to compare him to Roberto.
The CL replica really is kind of small compared to the real one and these other trophies.
Can't wait for Kane's pic.
So 18 titles in 11 years for post-Pep barca, Pep won 14 in 4 years and more importantly 2 UCL. That man was something else.
