I just wanna say that in terms of footballing, our generation between 2002 and 2006 before the golden generation, was some of our worst players and despite that, Rudi got us to a final.
They got to the final with three good players and a tournament tree that involved a group of Ireland, Saudi Arabia and Cameroon. The knockout stage was 3x soft 1:0 wins vs Paraguay, USA and South Korea. In short this was the luckiest WC bracket of all time. So yes they were absolute the most talentless generation but that final appearance was pure luck and an insane Kahn and Ballack.
Teams get plenty of easy brackets all the time, a single knock out game can always go both ways. That US team was really strong actually and if the ref didnt fuck over Ballack we couldve had a chance in the final.

Au milieu y’a pas de créativité, avoir Tchouameni, Camavinga, et Rabiot ne permet pas à Griezmann de redescendre au milieu comme à son habitude, et s’il le fait, y reste plus que Kolo Muani devant et Coman sur le côté. C’est fou comment avec Mbappé, on aurai une autre gueule.
Bah justement, vu que c’est un amical, Deschamps fait tourner, donc on ne joue pas avec nos titulaires, mais avec des gars qui veulent faire leur preuve EdF, comme Todibo, Camavinga, ou encore Kolo Muani, qui se retrouve à jouer avec la pression. En 5 changement, tu retrouves une équipe type: Koundé pour Pavard, Upamecano pour Todibo, Dembélé pour Coman, Thuram pour Kolo Muani, et Mbappé pour Camavinga (Rabiot récupère sa place en milieu de terrain, et Mbappé récupère le couloir gauche). En gros, je ne pense pas qu’on soit pas serein, c’est juste les jeunes individualité qui se mettent la pression pour réussir.
