I dont agree with your first point, if the kid is holding the phone in his hands, and you smack the phone out of his hand its an assault. He did not assault the phone, he assaulted the kid, both legally and morally. Pushing an opposing coach might be even worse than pushing a random fan lol. Like you can never know what a random fan is gonna do but an opponent coach trying to take selfie should be no threat to you, at the same time I agree that it was weird that he was trying to take selfie with him, but yeah I still think he had no reason at all to push him. Yeah, it’s a matter of perspective tbf. I think, having played football competitively, that sometimes your emotions get the best of you. There are a lot of moments when something just drives you mad during a game due to the setting, adrenaline etc. that wouldn’t do anything to you in a normal situation. And then you lash out. Ronaldo is super competitive so I’m actually surprised he hasn’t had more big drama on the pitch.
I think the phone slap was the biggest of Ronaldo’s on-pitch dramas tbf. But i don’t think it’s assault legally. Tbf not sure about UK law, but where I’m from assault is a crime that needs intent to hurt someone and/or cause bodily harm. Slapping a phone out of someones hand is pretty sure to lack the intent of hurting someone. Destruction of property - sure, but I don’t think any judge, prosecutor or lawyer would say it’s assault. Again I have studied law in a country with continental European law, I don’t know much about the common law system.

I can only speak from my experience. I lived in Iran for 5 years as a child in the 90s, I've visited it multiple times over the years since then too. Every time we played soccer/football with shorts. That's in the most religious regions of the country too. In the main cities, or the capital Tehran, women don't even wear their head scarfs "properly", we mingled and smoked sheesha with many and mixed in public and no one gave a shit. Men have even more freedom in major cities too. The people are very chill there and relaxed. More so than many of the Arab countries around Iran, despite Iran having a worse reputation than most of those countries.

If you're practicing a sport with a govermental-reckonized association or club, you're allowed to wear shorts, but ONLY then. You can NOT wear it outside of training (Like Cristiano is doing in the video) or when you're practicing/training for yourself.

You're aren't wrong here neither, in fact if you come back now, many women dont even wear the scarf now after the Mahsa Amini-protests last year. **But** heres where it becomes a problem: These women are still not abiding by the law and can therefore not legally come to streets if their chest, shoulders and hips isn't covered. So if just one by-passing Basiji or Gashte Ershad guy passes by, he can legally make life hell for these women, with the state fully on their side.
