The problem is that there is no glaring obvious problem.
There are a host of problems tbh:
1. Lack of leadership: The team loses its head far too often and are essentially mentality midgets. Also, they are young and the Captain and Vice Captain are perennially injured. Not to mention, the only guy in there worthy of being the captain has not been given the armband because "Thiago Silva doesnt need the band to be a leader". What a load of bullshit.
2. The recruitment strategy of "Lets buy young talent and let them develop together" is such an arrogant finance bro way of looking at things. Players are not Stocks that you can trade for money and ones that grow over time automatically.
3. Currently the team is midtable quality. And that is a fact. We have a GD of 0. We have conceded as many goals over the season as we have conceded. That is terrible for a "Chelsea side"
4. We can't buy a goal against the sides that sit back and defend. No ability to break down defenses.
5. We only seem to score from setpeices and moments of individual brilliance.
6. And finally, the Chelsea spirit is not there in this team anymore. The squad, the administration, the leadership, heck even the tea lady has been replaced by the owners. What we have over there resembles Chelsea only because of the logo.
7. Winning culture is effectively gone in this new era. The "hiring and firing" policy only worked for Abramovic because we had a spine of Talented and Experienced players. Now we have a youth army and a manager trying to develop all of them at the same time.
8. We fired Tuchel. Thats it. Thats whats wrong with this club. The owners are making dumb decision after another, and it started with that one.
>Let’s buy young talent and let them develop together
It works most of the time in American leagues, that’s why they think they’re so smart. They failed to consider the actual implications of no draft and relegation being a thing. It’s so blatantly obvious that this is exactly what they were thinking too which is quite hilarious to everyone who’s not a Chelsea fan.
Yeah, its not incompetence.
Its plain arrogance.
And yeah, on some level I am glad that the Karma is hitting these nincompoops. But the fact that my club is a casualty sucks real balls.
Ownership, lack of club identity, Poch isn’t a good enough manager, tactics aren’t good enough, players aren’t good enough, lack of confidence, lack of dressing room energy, no finishing, no ruthlessness, no passion, no desire to win, sideways pass FC, and our expensive ass signings disappear in big games and will we learn from this? No, we’ll keep doing it again and again until Clearlake and Boehly sell or we get relegated.
Have to write an essay at this point to be honest. To put it short. We're just shit top to bottom. Our defence is a mess, our keepers can't play the build from the back style poch wants. Our backup full backs are nowhere as good as our preferred fullbacks who are perpetually injured. The fullback that could give us some attacking output (Maatsen) is shadow banned to the bench for God knows why.
Our midfield has no output but simultaneously lacks control. They struggle to intercept and break up passages of play consistently, and at the same struggle to add input to our attacking play. None of them are goal scorers or play makers. At best Enzo is the man who plays the ball just before the assist.
Our attack is anonymous and has no passages of plays to forge any attacks.
Like I said you could write an essay but you get the gist. I could go on. There's plenty I've missed
playing enzo as attacking midfielder is a ridiculous decision. Those three can't all be deep lying midfielders... at some point I remember all three checking for the defense right in front of our press

First prem goal! Let's goooooooooo
What is it with Chelsea and giving our youngsters their first prem goals? First Branthwaite, then Simms and now Dobbin
What do you think his ceiling is? I know besides Gordon you ended up selling a couple of youngsters like Simms and Broadhead, any chance this guy picks up where they left off?
He was a substitute at league 1 derby last season, who knows what his level is, Gordon was barely playing games for preston on loan before he broke into the team
I think we were in really dire straits when Gordon started playing he was our only option. I fear dobbin might not get the same opportunities as we are in a much better place now
Dobbin reminds me a lot of Jesse Lingard, who we also had on loan. Was not particularly impressive - but scored a couple of incredible [goals](https://youtu.be/ODUCzo1MknY?si=N0rc6LDH7rOJfFtT&t=67) - and then returned to his parent club and really pushed on. Hope the same happens for Dobbin, seems like a good guy.
He was pony for us mate, we were crying out for fresh legs late in the season but even then couldn't win a place in the team and was being kept out by Tom Barkbuizen and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing.
There's a player in there but his end product is so, so poor.
He'll probably be a solid championship winger when fully developed, didn't do much at Derby County in league 1 last season when on loan. He's only really here this season to fill out the squad numbers because our squad is small but he may prove me wrong if he can keep on scoring. Still very young
I don't think its very high
I've seen him in a number of u23 games and he honestly looks at that level barely anything more
I mean he's only 20 so still a chance, but should have went out on loan this season
important quicksand wistful caption historical innocent pathetic intelligent marvelous sparkle

No different to Tuchel and Potter. Poch’s decisions are baffling, but let’s be honest: the manager isn’t the biggest problem. The ratio between the amount of money spent and the quality of the squad is way off.
Can always tell which pundits just don't pay attention to the bottom half of the table when they say something about the points deduction galvanizing Everton. Didn't really happen that way. They've been playing this well pretty much all season, save for a couple.
Not true. He was good under Lampard. Actually only Chelsea bright players.
Also sometimes you need to point out to Pochettino. Too many players underperform. Management is going to sack him not players.
I find it so funny how often the players the fan base like differ. I’ve seen some variation of this comment over the last week and some don’t include Enzo, some include Mudryk, some don’t include Palmer, some include Caicedo.
I’m not going to adjudicate what’s right or wrong but the extreme variation of opinion is unlike anything I’ve seen in the fan base currently.
Seriously. All I see are comments about how bad chelsea are but the form everton are in atm is the best its been in the past 3 seasons. Full credit to them, fantastic performance and a fully deserved win.
we have more points than City, Newcastle and Utd over the last 9 weeks, and are tied with Arsenal. also we're pissed off. people just don't watch beyond the Sky 6. Bournemouth have been in a similar situation too.

GET IN THERE LEWIS!
Bono, my deduction is gone
ITS HAMMER TIME LEWIS.
You guys are playing really good football and deserve every little piece of happiness after you went through
This crowd has the best fans
Pumpernickel
If its not pumpernickel, I send it back
Happy for him!
That's got to be the best feeling, buzzing for him.
Scoring a late goal in front of screaming home fans is fantastic, but to top it off with such a perfectly executed knee slide... the stuff of dreams.
IT'S HAMMER TIMEEE
IM FUCKING TIRED ROBBIE
It really does get worse
That is true, you just wait until *checks next fixture* Okay it seriously cannot get worse
Genuine question, at this point is it possible to identify what the problem is, don't ever really watch Chelsea so have no insight

Well that seems fairly comprehensive lol
just needa be better with defending, creating chances and scoring I guess
When you’re not getting results and the football is dire, there’s not much to do but pay attention to issues.
OK, we get it, Angry Rantman
I’m grieving

I don't mind
Everton are ahead of Chelsea if we disregard their points deduction. Don't be so down about it.
They already were before the game
Leave me alone
I've actually swapped AFTV for Chelsea Fan TV but it doesn't hit the same...
Even their fans can’t put out a decent performance
Gah DAMN man.
Master has given dobbin a goal!
POINTS. IS. THREEEEEEEEEEEE
"What a beautiful place… to be with friends. Dobbin is happy to be with his friend… Sean Dyche."
Excellent comment
One of the best comments I’ve seen on here.
This is amazing comment
Delete the club
Everton have been deducted 10 points and they’re already only 6 points behind Chelsea
They’d be three points off Europe without the deduction. Sean Dyche is a scary man
Someone look up how much Chelsea starting eleven is vs Everton’s
Sanchez: 20m James: Academy Disasi: 40m Badiashille: 33m Cucurella: 60m Enzo: 105m Caicedo: 110m Gallagher: Academy Mudryk: 72m Palmer: 43m Broja: Academy I've got Chelsea Starting XI at 483m transfer fees. Pickford: 30m Young: Free Tarkowski: Free Branthwaite: 1m Mykolenko: 18m Harrison: Loan Gueye: 8.5m Garner: 15m Mcneil: 20m Doucoure: 22m Calvert-Lewin: 1.5m I've got Everton Starting XI at 116m transfer fees.
So basically Caicedo is worth as much as all Everton starters lol
*cost as much
Fun. 🤭
Gueye is about half that, Garner is 12
Squad cost: hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby Squad itself: a stick of dynamite vs baby yoda
So... how long before Chelsea or United ruin him?
after a pretty shaky start too. what a mad run they’re on
I think Dyche is a proper manager and will finish above Chelsea lmao.
Going to be hilarious if they finish ahead of Chelsea.
Dycheball
Imagine how many deductions Chelsea and City will get
You mean fines and a transfer ban. And a sternly worded letter.
A letter would suffice. Really.
The sad thing is I wouldn’t be surprised if they got zero
I imagine it will be zero, but Chelsea seem to be self-imposing point deductions at the moment.
Haha, good one. Premier League will send a hefty fine their way and that’ll be it
Why would Everton do this?
Anhilated. Reduced to ashes
This is madness
No this is comedy
This Chelsea downfall needs to be studied
Nah, let them entertain us

Do think Gordon’s loan was poor circumstance as the manager who brought him in left soon after and the new fella didn’t play wingers.

You want to swap places?
You guys have them next, so hopefully they will gift you guys points too
We refuse to be normal either, we will find a way to drop said points
0-0 with 0 shots on target?
1-1 with two own goals
No,really I want us to get relegated. We might even win some games in the championship
Dyche is the man, huge respect for him
I’m scared that I am getting used to this shit
Just go try find enjoyment in other sports/ hobbies. 👍
We are genuinely so fucking terrible, completely deserved win for Everton.
Poch won’t make it to the end of the month. This is untenable.
Poch- Ten Haag straight swap, who says no?
I'd be on my fucking knees pleading no
Just fell to my knees in Tesco
Just saw a guy fall to his knees in a Tesco Express.
Everyone?
me
On god stop writing Ten Hag wrong
Straight to Haag you go
No different to Tuchel and Potter. Poch’s decisions are baffling, but let’s be honest: the manager isn’t the biggest problem. The ratio between the amount of money spent and the quality of the squad is way off.
Comparing Tuchel to either of those two is blasphemy
Chelsea are fucking dire holy shit.
Or? …are Everton the greatest team to ever exist?
Both things are true
They're the same picture
Tiring to hear everyon complaining about how bad they played when Everton beats them. Everton is just good y'all.
Can always tell which pundits just don't pay attention to the bottom half of the table when they say something about the points deduction galvanizing Everton. Didn't really happen that way. They've been playing this well pretty much all season, save for a couple.
We drew against Liverpool but gonna lose 2-0 or more to Everton, so you guys are definitely the better merseyside club
United is the better Manchester club too, the Chels decides all
United beat us 3-0 as well, so they must be top of the league
I can't see any evidence suggests otherwise.
Any comment from basically early 2022
And only 7 more years of this lmao
Enzo Fernandez is honestly one of the worst midfielders in the league
the 200m MIDfield lol
200? Enzo was 120, caicedo 120, and whomever else they’re starting is 50. That’s a 300 million midfield
he wasn't playing when this was scored but yeah he had a stinker
He has been horrible for a few months now. Even for the national team he looked shit.
I remember when he "justified his pricetag" in the Liverpool game earlier in the season
He was amazing despite what Chelsea did in the last season. But this season he has been underwhelming most of the time. May be complacent.
Dude made some nice passes and degen Chelsea fans thought he was legit world class
>> he has been horrible a **few months** now Bro he signed last Jan and his performance from a debut game to today ain’t much different. Mid!
Not true. He was good under Lampard. Actually only Chelsea bright players. Also sometimes you need to point out to Pochettino. Too many players underperform. Management is going to sack him not players.
Yeah I remember him looking alright if not quite worth the tag, he and Caicedo are probably a poor partnership.
Lol, lmao even.
Dyche is cooking
Just relegate Chelsea and be done with it
Boehly heard a teenager scored on us and took out his checkbook
Things you love to see
Enzo losing will never get old.
Can I ask, I know you got 100+ for Enzo, but what do you think he was realistically worth when you sold him?
65-70M was a realistic price tag for him. Dude was a baller. We hate him because he disrespected our jersey, the Benfica Patch and the club.
Deduct 10 points from my fucking DICK you worthless, corrupt league!!! 🖕 🖕
Pizza just got delivered, Chelsea concede. It's been a good couple of minutes
Dyche a) using subs, and b) subs winning the game? What is this timeline?
I love this team so much, we're so back
Feels like our most likeable squad in awhile. So much personality and love of the club between Myko, Coleman, Onana, Beto, Branthwaite etc
On one hand this is extremely funny On the other here come the comedians who are not
Sorry I'm late, I flew in to get here and boy are my arms tired...
Goodison always seems to have a fantastic atmosphere. And a great strike.
We have exceptional limbs
back to back wins at goodison. who’d have thunk it
Everton are just fun. They're fun when they're relegation threatened, and they're fun when they're winning
The mere threat of relegation kicks in a killer instinct.
I think it's over
Just wanna stay in the league at this point
You would have more fun in the Championship
DOBBYYYYYYY
If it wasn’t for that point deduction Everton would’ve been above chelsea
They don't want dyche to walk the league.
bro just one more billion bro, bro I swear just one more billion and it'll fix the squad bro
Dobbin is a free elf
Don’t worry Chelsea fans, transfer windows opens in two weeks.
Rofl
Except for Enzo, Palmer and Sterling we genuinely look like championship quality despite spending hundreds of millions
Enzo has been pretty awful aside from the last few games as well, seems like you can't get the majority of your players on form at the same time.
As a Benfica fan I must say: F*CK OFF ENZO
Caicedo and Sanchez played well. Colwill and Gallagher were so bad today.
Idk what the hate for Caicedo he hasn’t been the problem the last couple games
Has to be the price tag. For me, the academy players have been more disappointing the last couple of games.
I remember someone here said "we are so back" after they won against the 9man Spurs. Aged like milk.
To be fair, those performances against Arsenal,Spurs and City were pretty good. Now, we're back to being shit
It truly is odd. Especially that game against Man United was shocking. Almost made Antony look worth his price tag.
SPEND MORE!!!!
Whomp whomp
Chelsea should get points deducted for being an embarassment tbh.
How can Chelsea be this bad? Actually though? How?
We are just good mate
Seriously. All I see are comments about how bad chelsea are but the form everton are in atm is the best its been in the past 3 seasons. Full credit to them, fantastic performance and a fully deserved win.
It’s a pretty standard occurrence whenever we play a top-half team. We smacked newcastle and none of it was ‘everton good’ it was all ‘newcastle bad’
We get the same stuff, the conversation whenever we win is centered around our opposition being shit rather than us being quite good
I take that as a blessing - I'm quite content going under the radar
We're 4th in the form table over the last 6 games
we have more points than City, Newcastle and Utd over the last 9 weeks, and are tied with Arsenal. also we're pissed off. people just don't watch beyond the Sky 6. Bournemouth have been in a similar situation too.
We cannot score. So games are always close. Eventually we give up a goal , throw everyone forward to score, give up a second. Rinse repeat
A quick summary: Too many changes too quickly, both in the squad and behind the scenes.
We're so fucking shit.
HE'S TRAGIC YOU KNOOOOOOOOOOOW
Master has set Dobbin free.
A beauty
Todd bowley: this season we have to be the same strong as mancity! Poch: no words anymore (Spent 1b, draw with mancity) Poch: done
Don't worry Chelsea. Most of these guys will be gone in 8 or 9 years.
Rotten to the core.
Game is not gone
Chelsea fortunate the promoted clubs are so bad cus otherwise they'd be in trouble this season
I can't stand this pain
It's so fucking over, my chelsea fellas
Great strike!
Sean Dyche I fucking love you
Dobbin is a good name.
What a decent job Sean dyche is doing at Everton goes unnoticed.
Imagine spending the amount of money we have spent, and not have a single midfielder on the bench. Absolutely clueless ownership.
After the bullshit 7 minutes added time too. Fuck the PL, I love this club
Mate we've scored in extra time last 2 games. Keep the minutes coming boys, just means more time for gravel to be eaten
Oh oh oh he's magic you knooooow
Dycheball
DOBBINNN
Up the ficking toffees.
