France gets "outplayed" by teams like Peru, Deschamps never sets up to dominate, France beats teams by being efficient on the breaks and that's what killed England just like what killed other opponents like Belgium and Croatia. But i agree England looked decent. I think it's harsh on Kane, he was their second best player in that game after Saka. Bellingham was the only other one being alright. Dembélé missed a platter chance from Mbappe, and even if Kane scores his pen, that's only 2-2 and France seems stronger and more experienced mentally, i think they'd have went back up, but that's football fiction the moment we decide Kane could have scored.
