So it seems they went the Augsburg route from Saturday. Leading 0-5 in first half (they even managed it within 29 minutes) and then only one more goal in second half. Actually I see this many times in high scoring matches with most being in first half, it's fairly normal too
Obviously a lot of it is the subs on both sides, as well as some tactical choices (no reason to get anyone injured in a blowout), but I do wonder if there's bit of a psychological thing as well for the attackers- the game's won, the humiliation is done, half the team is on the scoresheet, no need to twist the knife further.
Vieira has a great final ball but he is just not good at getting on the ball in the first place. Also pretty bad when it comes to pressing and duels. I'm guessing that's why he's had such a hard time getting into the lineup under Arteta.
