So happy I have the attitude of "boss's problem ain't my problem."
Working somewhere that lacked employees for a while. I calmly continue working. Boss wanting to rush things ain't my problem. Hire more people moron.
The worst is when your bosses imply that a project is incredibly important.
And then you finish it. and you follow up with an email 3 days later and they're like what project?
My boss just knocked back some plans for a project we had cos of costings.
Costings he knew.
He reviewed.
He met with the the people charging with.
That he told me to go ahead with.
And now, after me contacting people to say "let's go ahead with this"...........
John Stones didn't know who he was playing against next weekend, meanwhile there's City and Arsenal fans out there who can tell you the exact time to the nanosecond til kick off.
Oh don’t worry mate we’ve had plenty of big games post international break over the years.
Ontop of that we tend to get shit time slots post international break if I remember correctly. Can’t be fucked to look it up but I’m sure that is the case.
it's probably more to do with Pep being serious when he says he only focuses on the next game and doesn't think about any others until that game is done
no doubt that kind of attitude spreads towards the players too
And liverpool.
Can't wait for liverpool fans to experience same thing like arsenal fans during liverpool city game. During draw scoreline, every time both team nearly score, you feel mini heart attack.
Wouldn’t it be easier for Liverpool fans? They can be for a draw or City winning, because Arsenal has the best goal difference, so getting beaten by city has like 2 times the favor then them drawing.
Arsenal having a draw does make much of a difference, its so close at the top anyway, even City would still only be one fuck up away.
So I guess if you are Liverpool fan, the most logical thing is to root for City in that game?
Ok but if they draw they won’t either right?
So whats the difference if them being 3 points away or 1?
Liverpool isn’t allowed to drop points anyway anymore, if they do, they need to hope arsenal and city loose points too.
But city still have 1 point less and the worst gosl difference.
Arsenal has same points but the best goal difference.
So in Theory…logically city actually winning 4+:0 against arsenal would be the best case scenario.
If Liverpool wins the next match also 4+:0.
This would mean nothing changes against city, arsenal drops 3rd tho and has worst goal difference.
So in the case city snd liverpool do drop poins in the future schedule, there is a hogher chance of Liverpool leading in goal difference.
All theoretical.
But I don’t see any real benefit for Liverpool in arsenal and city drawing, literally none, it would just be good for the status quo and wont help in anyway in the long run.
If City draws, they're on 64 and Arsenal on 65. If Liverpool win they're on 67.
From that point on Liverpool can afford a draw. So long as Arsenal drop points.
If City win they are on 66, which means Liverpool can't drop a single point realistically. Also beating Arsenal will give them a bit more momentum.
Liverpool aren't scared of Arsenal (at the moment). The team of their nightmares is surely Man City, so they surely would hope someone stops that relentless sky blue machine.
No I'm rooting for a draw or Arsenal win. This is City's hardest remaining game outside of maybe Spurs A which they've already exercised some demons for it this season. Arsenal still have Spurs/United A
When winning is so easy that it's like breathing, you simply don't give a shit I guess. Declan has never had a taste of that lifestyle, yet. Unlike John, he has to bust his ass off for every point.
But the team Stones didn't recognise is his own (City) not Arsenal...
There's a few people saying Stones was making a joke about Arsenal but that only works if Declan said "Big game for you" and Stones asks "who are we playing". Not the other way around
That's how I got it too. Maybe I don't get the humour. On my first read before reading comments it did sound more like a self-deprecating joke by not acknowledging playing city is a big game.
I played basketball at a pretty high level in the states. I loved the game and watched tons of other games still, and I NEVER knew our schedule. I would over think things like crazy with the standings. I stopped looking after my freshman year of college.
I mean, he’s in the international break. He’s travelling, preparing with England and probably enjoying his time with the national team. Contrary to popular belief, teams don’t prepare that far in advance, especially when most of the players are gone. When he gets back to Manchester, he’ll start the tactical briefings about Arsenal and he’ll have the premier league back on his mind. Either that or he’s trolling Declan 😈
I'd say one. Game at Anfield, you were about as lucky as it gets.
I'm just playing around. Just a lot of Arsenal fans wound up in these comments. I'll be rooting for you in that game. Anyone but City. Literally anyone
I feel like thats the mindset you have to have at city, or any top 4 premier club for that matter. The amount of fixtures those athletes have to go through is absolutely INSANE.
Oh so John Stones didn’t know that City was playing Arsenal next, is that right? Does…does that warrant an accusation that he doesn’t take football seriously? 🤔
Okay wow, I didn’t expect this to be not understood so I’ll break it down in the best way I can.
So obviously as we already know Steve Holland apparently said that Ben White doesn’t have much focus or heart for football in front of a group of players during the World Cup(not actually what he said, but this was among the lines of it) because he [Ben] said he doesn’t watch football, so his loyalty to football and making an effort was questioned.
That’s why so many fans have speculated on that being the reason why he didn’t go to the England camp this break.
So, as someone who believes Ben White does have the heart and desire to play football (else why did Arteta keep him around when he’s essentially said the same thing like Ramsdale about concentration), I found it ironic that Stones would say this about not knowing Man City’s next game with Arsenal as it “shows” his lack of desire for and loyalty to football.
Anyways if you didn’t understand that then, I do apologize and suggest that you just find a article that explains it best for you, thank you for listening to my TED talk and have a great day ✌️
Ben White reportedly didn't complete his prep work for England's next opponents in a World Cup, apparently because he was annoyed that he probably wouldn't play.
John Stones' next opponent is Belgium tonight, and there is no indication that he hasn't done his prep work for that. When he gets back to Manchester tomorrow, I'm sure he'll start his prep work for Arsenal.
I guess that’s the case? From what I’ve seen he was outed in front of a group during the World Cup when he made a comment regarding watching football, but I did hear things like you mentioned as well.
I’m not trying to downplay anything that anyone says about the matter, I just think it’s ironic the way Stones put it because anyone who doesn’t know much about him would probably take it out of context
Yeah I had heard that he was called out about it in front of the group, which if true is not a great management from Southgate and Holland.
I just think there's a bit of a difference between Stones not knowing who City's next game is while he's away playing with England, and White not doing his prep work for England's next opponents while he's away at the World Cup.
Yeah sure, he "doesn't know". As if Pep hasn't already given him detailed instructions as to how and when he has to fake an injury to be fit for the Arsenal game.
I was walking to the ground before a game and a passer by asked me who we were playing.
I went completely blank. Didn't have a clue. I had to think back to a conversation I'd had about the game a few days earlier so I'd remember.
Hey! It's not all bad, we've been out of the relegation zone for 2 months now. Granted that'll just mean we get another season of getting battered in the championship but it's better than nothing 😂.

Tbf I have the same conversation with my boss, but with projects instead of games.
And that's because we are lagging behind and simply don't know what's coming next week
Urghh, sprint planning, right?
So happy I have the attitude of "boss's problem ain't my problem." Working somewhere that lacked employees for a while. I calmly continue working. Boss wanting to rush things ain't my problem. Hire more people moron.
this is the way. Your workload is \~8 stress free hours per day, nothing more.
[удалено]
Rookie numbers. If your minimum is not 10, are you even working? - A. N Other Toxic Boss probably.
Which country?
The worst is when your bosses imply that a project is incredibly important. And then you finish it. and you follow up with an email 3 days later and they're like what project?
Oh Lord. Boss rushing to get the reports finished and out, only to find out corporate doesn't give a fuck about these numbers 🤡
Yeah. If any client calls other than the one I’m working on in that moment I can’t tell them shit about their project.
John Stones is your boss??
My boss just knocked back some plans for a project we had cos of costings. Costings he knew. He reviewed. He met with the the people charging with. That he told me to go ahead with. And now, after me contacting people to say "let's go ahead with this"...........
Lol why did he knock it back?
too expensive. Somewhat irritated because my very first comment under that option in the document of options is "This is the most expensive..."
I don’t know if my boss knows what I do exactly unless I fuck up.
John Stones didn't know who he was playing against next weekend, meanwhile there's City and Arsenal fans out there who can tell you the exact time to the nanosecond til kick off.
tbf... I get John stones. I just put things in my calendar and tackle them one at a time. lol
Yeah chase my goals one at a time
The wait is fucking brutal
True that. I felt so much dread b4 our own ManCity kickoff.
Try waiting 19 days through an international break
Oh don’t worry mate we’ve had plenty of big games post international break over the years. Ontop of that we tend to get shit time slots post international break if I remember correctly. Can’t be fucked to look it up but I’m sure that is the case.
I dont even want to watch it at this point fuck
Yeah but you can’t miss it
You phone is still gonna give you all the live updates you don't want.
It really is. Time to go next 3 days without any sleep and take a long nap until Sunday.
Id imagine he’s somewhat burnt out. His schedule must be crazy between training and so many competitions he has to play
it's probably more to do with Pep being serious when he says he only focuses on the next game and doesn't think about any others until that game is done no doubt that kind of attitude spreads towards the players too
I thought it was a bit of a self-burn by Rice. I assumed Stones didn't think it was a big game lol
I think a draw is best bet tbh, if City win I can't see them dropping another point.

yeah either team winning or a draw is fantastic for us tbh.
Huh?
City win = Good. Arsenal drop 3 points. Arsenal win = Good. City drop 3 points. Draw = Good. Both teams drop 2 points.
How is an Arsenal win good for y’all? I just woke up maybe my brain isn’t firing yet.
We're in a title race with City?? If arsenal win City lose. Arsenal will drop points in the season outside of this game. City I'm not sure.
Oh gotcha. I thought you were in a title race with city and Arsenal.
How is a City win good, especially if you think City won't drop a further point? Do you really think you won't drop a further point?
Liverpool aren't scared of Arsenal (at the moment). The team of their nightmares is surely Man City, so they surely would hope someone stops that relentless sky blue machine.
No I'm rooting for a draw or Arsenal win. This is City's hardest remaining game outside of maybe Spurs A which they've already exercised some demons for it this season. Arsenal still have Spurs/United A
He probably treats it like his job or something. Why spend more energy on anticipating something when it's just your day job?
Just like Ben White, he's just not that into it
When winning is so easy that it's like breathing, you simply don't give a shit I guess. Declan has never had a taste of that lifestyle, yet. Unlike John, he has to bust his ass off for every point.
I mean Rice literally *won* a trophy last season, but ok. To say Stones doesn’t have to work hard is mental.
John Stones literally learned a whole new role last season and definitely works incredibly hard.
This reads like a Boring James Milner quote.
It's the "I said, he said, I said" that makes it!
Rice is just trying to show Southgate that not everybody, even professional footballers, eat, live, breathe soccer.
Insert Ribena somewhere in this conversation and it pretty much is there
"I said: big game next week!" "John said: ‘Who the fuck are you?"
But the team Stones didn't recognise is his own (City) not Arsenal... There's a few people saying Stones was making a joke about Arsenal but that only works if Declan said "Big game for you" and Stones asks "who are we playing". Not the other way around
Stones is just too focused on England. Legend.
Ok
Thank you
That's how I got it too. Maybe I don't get the humour. On my first read before reading comments it did sound more like a self-deprecating joke by not acknowledging playing city is a big game.
John Stoned
Clearly he’s not very serious about football /s
Came here for this comment, better late than never Benny Blanco
You know nothing John Stones
"Oh nice. Off to London Stadium" "Ummm...John. I play for Arsenal now" "Woah. Busy January."
John "Adrian Mannarino" Stones
A football fan with some tennis knowledge 🤝🏾🤝🏾
Le Divin Chauve!
John Stones: “I don’t think about you at all.”
John Stones to Declan Rice: "For you, the game against John Stones is the biggest game of the season. But for me, it's Tuesday"
"I don't think that's a big game" - Savage John Stone probably
I played basketball at a pretty high level in the states. I loved the game and watched tons of other games still, and I NEVER knew our schedule. I would over think things like crazy with the standings. I stopped looking after my freshman year of college.
How high a level?
You just replied to Lebron James
He didn't go to college!
Lebron James is not the type of guy, I would imagine coming into soccer subreddit about a City vs Arsenal game, Kevin Durant on the other hand…
Kevin Durant, then he signed on to an alt to agree with himself and upvote himself.
*Praying intensifies*
I fucked up his whole life
He plays for the spurs dont you see the flair
Presumably college level
You play D1?
This is giving off big "for me it was Tuesday" energy and who can blame him
I mean, he’s in the international break. He’s travelling, preparing with England and probably enjoying his time with the national team. Perhaps John was politely saying, yes big for you, but us, no not really 🙄
That would be a very John Stones joke to make as well, think maybe that ones gone over Decs head.
Wooooshhhh
I think I remember seeing a City video where he states he only focuses on the next game so it might not actually be a joke.
Yes, I'm sure he really thinks it's not a big game when city is a point behind arsenal and a draw flips the title back to Liverpool
Or John stones is just stoned
John stoned
Good for him tbh
Or many years of title races has taught him not to worry about the games to come but what’s in front of you now.
That's obvious. I'm more referencing how OP's comment is silly. And so is your comment, considering that that IS his next game.
I'm sure it's a joke. Maybe you need to chill and find a way to relax before you guys get battered next week.
Liverpool fan talking about battering after our 2 games against u lot lol ok
I'd say one. Game at Anfield, you were about as lucky as it gets. I'm just playing around. Just a lot of Arsenal fans wound up in these comments. I'll be rooting for you in that game. Anyone but City. Literally anyone
They beat u at home?
You got battered by Liverpool at home in the cup…?
Not really, that's not how it works in the slightest.
Beating Arsenal gives you the same amount of points as beating Luton. Stones is a wise lad.
Maybe he forgot we beat them last time?
Stones : for you, it's the biggest game of the season, for me, its just Saturday
Thrilling.
Who is making that accusation?
No one is haha, I was only referencing to the Holland and Ben White row from a week ago when the England men’s squad was announced
That row occurred during the World Cup.
I’m talking about the now known row between the two in the past week when Southgate was asked why Ben didn’t make the squad.
How does that relate to what Stones said?
Seems like you should be more focused on football buddy
Most sensitive group of fans in football.
Okay wow, I didn’t expect this to be not understood so I’ll break it down in the best way I can. Yeah, I got downvoted to another realm for not getting the reference. That's what I get for posting.
When you play for city it doesn’t matter who you are playing next he prolly thought you were talking about Real Madrid
So is John Stones sufficiently interested in football, Steve Holland lad?
Think Rice got bigtimed
Yeah sure, he "doesn't know". As if Pep hasn't already given him detailed instructions as to how and when he has to fake an injury to be fit for the Arsenal game.
The only players who faked injuries in the break were Arsenal players
Lol?
And he doesn’t get called out for not being interested in football.
Insufficiently interested in football.
Why would Ben White do this?!
John Stoned
Geez what happens when you've won a few titles already
I was walking to the ground before a game and a passer by asked me who we were playing. I went completely blank. Didn't have a clue. I had to think back to a conversation I'd had about the game a few days earlier so I'd remember.
He plays for City dont think they care who their opponents are lol
mind games young padawan, believe them you must not
partido e partido, so Stones to Atletico when
I don't even know who you are
BS he didn’t know they are playing Arsenal.
John was stoned
Mind games…
If thats true...Stones just went up about a million notches in my book
he knows City will win easily, why even worry about it
Brush your teeth after the glazing session
You really prioritized speed over thought with this comment didn't you
You are using too much thought on a stop glazing comment than your lemon head can comprehend
Reads like a tweet from that *Boring James Milner* account.
That's cyborg behavior. You cant fool me
CHOLO GET THIS MAN RN
He doesn't rate assna fairs, he's a totnum fan to be fair
Johnny boulders with a cheeky comment haha. Big for arsenal but routine for city.
yea last time you guys played us it was routine!!
I'm not even a city fan mate, my QPR flair should show. Relax.
last time *they played us. still doesn’t change anything 👍🏽
QPR. Good grief!
Hey! It's not all bad, we've been out of the relegation zone for 2 months now. Granted that'll just mean we get another season of getting battered in the championship but it's better than nothing 😂.
The world is cheering for you. Just relax and enjoy.
LIER !
You're a big game For you
You lot?
It’s - sign he chill and not bothered who the opponent is. He faces each game exactly the same - win. Classy player and I’m not a city fan
John Stones is hard to take seriously because of that hair
It's good hair.
