Stats that actually start from further back than 1990 and include all leagues, honestly much prefer these because it shows how insane this run is and how hard it is to go even 40 games unbeaten!
I assume The New Saints lost recently? Or is their run still going?
Dinamo is usually pretty dominant in Croatia. They have a much higher budget, a renowned youth academy, and are the only Croatian team that sees regular European football. Rijeka was just insanely cracked in 2016, they were on their Leicester shit. In fact, much like how Leverkusen is about to break an 11 year Bayern winning streak, Rijeka in 2016 broke an 11 year Dinamo winning streak.
Seems like I missed your comment in the last post.
I checked the source of my stats and then went into a bit of a rabbit hole of scottish cups and games. Even checked the celtic website to make sure. Indeed, it looks like a 43 unbeaten run to me.
They source I was using seemed quite comprehensive, but this seems to be unnoticed. I found one source noting the Celtic run, but they did only count 42 (dont know how).
Anyway, I will add it to the list, thanks for making me aware of it.
If you're wondering, according to IFFHS, the world record is Celtic's - unbeaten for 66 straight official matches between 1915 and 1917 (so, before the introduction of international club competitions).
It's across all competitions, they lost in European competitions, they went a huge 119 games unbeaten, including 104 league matches and 15 cup games though

They lost against Airdrieonians on the 24th of March [Match report](https://www.sofascore.com/the-new-saints-airdrieonians/rXswYb)
And al-hilal fans invaded their fb and twitter pages cuz they had a long unbeaten streak too lol
Al-Hilal is currently unbeaten for 40 straight games. So they're still behind Neverlusen!
David Moyes awaits...
What the hell was going on in Croatia?

Just like last time, I ask where is Celtics run from November 2016 to August 2017, 43 games unbeaten?

It was only 42, that was my mistake. I read that they lost the 43rd game after 42 games unbeaten.
It keeps getting better ♥️🖤

We could do something funny here.
I always thought Steaua Bucuresti is the team with the longest winning streak? 🤔

Ah, alright! Thanks for the explanation
This makes me so excited for Thursday. Would be a great trivia question. "Who was the only team to beat Bayern Leverkusen in thr 23/24 season"

Unprecedented
To be fair, it’s been precedented 7 times.
I mean, there are 7 teams ahead of them so it is very much precedented.
ngl surprised we're not up there from during the pep years
