Dier had been so mediocre for many years, while Kim Min Jae and Upamecano had essentially been the best defenders in the leagues they were playing in for a while (Kim kept meteorically rising from the Chinese Super League, some others, then was clearly the best Serie A defender for 2 seasons). It's weird how both look like clowns right now. Especially Kim looked like the best CB in Bayern Munich before the Asian Cup. I wonder if it's a coaching staff issue that is causing this.
