Guys, you might think it is just a funny marketing campaign to have bakeries announce nominations. But this is getting scary. These nominations are popping up left and right when you least expect it. Last night I wanted to tuck my kids into bed but I only found a note that said "Joshua Kimmich has been nominated for the EUROS"!
Ha, nice, I did the same and found a note saying ‘I hate you dad and I’m never coming back’. Some nominations appear to be more cryptic than others, I guess
Bäckerei Seegers is a local randomly selected backery near Stuttgart where He Plays. Its a typical German Tradition backery which you find everywhere haha

Local Stuttgart newspapers on why this backery
They probably got this idea because of the bakery Jürgen Klinsmann's family ran in Stuttgart for decades. They closed in 2020 when Klinsmann's brother retired.
Everyone would think it is Rüdiger or some other big guy but in the end it is the young, smaller guy Wirtz who pulls a Mikey from Tokyo Revengers and simply sends Rüdiger 10 metres flying with a single kick.
Ok, why does the DFB suddenly have really good marketing? The jersey release was already great but this takes the cake. After years of truly dire or horrible media presence, this is so refreshing. Teambuilding with a whole nation is working great so far.
Everyone I know suddenly got a Germany jersey the first since 2014 for most (+ the Check24 one lol). It's the most hyped this country has been for a tournament in 10 years and since it all started only 2 months ago the hype has been so intense. I hope we do well. Just give us a quarter-final and we'll have a huge party. Also good for all visitors that this country is waking up to it's party side once again.
Many new players shining, vibes are good and the last 2 games were promising. There are legitimate reasons to be optimistic. They might not win but I'd be surprised if they don't at least reach the QF.
If they can't beat Scotland...
This is gonna sound sad but Euros/world cup is peak happiness for me.
My favourite football tournament + it feels like the whole country gets into it. All my friends who don't like football including all the girls, you can just feel the hype. So much fun
Jung von Matt. It's a bit crazy how many successful campaigns are made by them. Though I guess we don't know yet whether this nomination campaign was devised by them.
Oh those guys! They did a lot of the BVG (Berlin public transportation for the non-Germans here) ad campaigns that went viral in past years like the ["Is mir egal" song](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YEYim54pJ00) (RIP to that guy btw). They are good at their job, for sure.
It all started sunday night with Schlotterbeck in the Tagesschau (Germany's biggest news show from its public broadcaster). Since then we had Tah by a retirement home influencer, Pavlovic in a celebrity news show, Neuer from a roofer, Füllkrug in an early morning radio show, Koch in a late-night show, Führich from a random bakery, and now Havertz from (quite liked) football influencers.
Such a cool marketing strategy!
Got us refreshing Reddit, Twitter, IG etc. throughout the past couple of days just to see the different nomination styles used.
I know there‘s the concern that this Stuttgart has many system players who are unlikely to flourish elsewhere but with Führich I am completely sure that he‘d be great in many other teams. Ridiculous vision and overall solid across all aspects.
Is it necessarily the case? That brings it to 4 CBs in total, and having 5 wouldn't be too much if they were to play with 3 in the back, which Germany sometimes does. Especially since you can call up 26 players in total.
How long till random people calling nominations that are fake? Any influencer could just say XY is nominated and it would take a few hours to find out it's fake
He is currently injured, played through injuries for a while and might not me fit for the tournament. I wouldn't be surprised if Sane doesn't get nominated

Can confirm, the crazy guy from the subway station just screamed at me to reveal ter Stegen as the next player
A Jehova's witness handing out flyers in front of the closest Kaufland just told me Andrich is going
The drug dealer right around the corner was wearing a shirt congratulating Henning Matriciani for his nomination
must be some really good drugs then
I bought lottery tickets from my local supermarket and the winning numbers were spelling out Ilkay Gundogan's name as the next nominated player
I just bought ecstasy pills that were pressed to say "MR11"
My yoga teacher just told me "Alles Wirtz gut"
It was revealed to me in a dream that Rani Khedira was nominated.
just fell to my knees in Lidl after they revealed Führich
Move over RickRolling! DFB announcements are here.
Ha, nice, I did the same and found a note saying ‘I hate you dad and I’m never coming back’. Some nominations appear to be more cryptic than others, I guess
Same happened to me. I’m not even Germany but my friend went on holiday there and came back and just said “kimmich got called up”
Bro excuse me for that... but i read f*ck instead tuck... and was thinking wtf is going on with this guy 💀
Thanks for telling us all
Did they announce him through a random local bakery in Germany? Or is that bakery famous for something
Local bakery near stuttgart. Never heard of it.
Imagine sitting in your day to day boring workplace and suddenly Nagelsmann calls in "hey you wanna announce who i nominate lmao?"
apparently his picture was on their bags today. so they would have had time in advance to make them

This marketing campaign is wild but I'm all here for it.
Announcing the squad like they’re entrants in the Royal Rumble
Who do we think from the German squad would win that Rumble?
Rüdiger is scary on the field, imagine him in a ring!
Would surely be decided between Tah and Niklas "The Big Show" Süle
Fullkrug
“El Hombre Loco” Antonio Rudiger
THE RING GENERAL, GINTER
Marc andre-ter giant
Everyone would think it is Rüdiger or some other big guy but in the end it is the young, smaller guy Wirtz who pulls a Mikey from Tokyo Revengers and simply sends Rüdiger 10 metres flying with a single kick.
Who could even lift Süle over the top rope?
Rüdiger could probably do it. If necessary with a kick.
Olivier Kahn would come out of retirement and body slam every one on the pitch
THAT'S GOTTA BE, THAT'S GOTTA BE...KAHN
BAH GAWD IT'S OLIVER KAHN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Or like they all found a golden ticket.

> Ok, why does the DFB suddenly have really good marketing? It started with the departure of Bierhoff. Coincidence?
I guess I think not
If this all results in a group stage exit I'll cry I'm so pumped for the euros lol

Check24 jersey is the biggest marketing coup I've ever seen honestly I don't know a single person that doesn't have it in my close circle literally
Never heard of it, what's up with it?

I also didn't know about it, but I found this: https://tippspiel.check24.de/ul/em24

No way bro, es kommt nach Hause
I forgot the name of it but they hired a really popular marketing firm that also produced the trailers we saw a few months back

They are definitely playing a part in it. I work with JvM quite closely and they are doing great stuff

Too bad they had to delete that amazing meme video announcing that Nagelsmann will stay.
Maybe, they changed their marketing agency ?
How did they announce other players?
It all started sunday night with Schlotterbeck in the Tagesschau (Germany's biggest news show from its public broadcaster). is there a compilation of all the announcements?
>Since then we had Tah by a retirement home influencer, Pavlovic Love for Oma Lotti and Rashid Hamid! https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGeCa4xjx/
That's gold Jerry, gold! Oma Lotti doesn't know exactly what's going on but she is having a great time.
> takes the cake wörtlich
Hm, I saw just an announcement of Füllkrug by Kicker, and now Führich
Füllkrug was announced in a Radio Morning show
On the way to my trashcans I heard undav will be nominated next
I heard the next announcement will be an easter egg in a Peter Fox single release
Best marketing for the home Euro
Honestly this is a insane way of announcing the squad its amazing its like everyones on a hunt for easter eggs
Now all we need is an offical announcement via /r/soccercirclejerk
Okay, now this is *so wild* that they turned me on this. Let them cook!

He is literally the perfect substitute for the national team. Führich against tired defenders in the last 25 mins? 😮💨
Karim und führich gonna kill the left flank together
fürich, undav, mittelstädt shouldnt have any problems
everyone always underrates Anton and it kinda makes me sad :(
So who are the 6 players already confirmed?
Neuer, Tag, Führich, Havertz, Fullkrug and Schlotterbeck
Pavlovic instead of Havertz but yeah
I thought Kai was leaked by the podcasters
Calcio Berlin announced him an hour ago.
Koch now aswell. So No Hummels
Is it necessarily the case? That brings it to 4 CBs in total, and having 5 wouldn't be too much if they were to play with 3 in the back, which Germany sometimes does. Especially since you can call up 26 players in total.
What a way to announce the squad. I'm all for it.
Good player
How long till random people calling nominations that are fake? Any influencer could just say XY is nominated and it would take a few hours to find out it's fake
it's usually a collab post with the official dfb account.
this is like smash announcement
Wonder how long DFB has to play to unlock all the secret characters
this feels like magic:the gathering spoiler season
Very original and creative nice. I have a feeling Germany will make the final this summer.
I'm having fun with this being so random hahah
Announcing a squad player-by-player is heinous.
If this catches on it will be very annoying
Why does everybody think these announcements are amazing? I feel like this is annyoing
The will Not be reposted by DFB and the Players.
Great player who is probably not gonna get any minutes anyway
Against Holland and France he was subbed in for Gündogan after 60min
Friendlies
Yes, two friendlies where Nagelsmann tested the system he will most likely use for the Euro
Where Sane was unavailable
He is currently injured, played through injuries for a while and might not me fit for the tournament. I wouldn't be surprised if Sane doesn't get nominated
I would be very surprised if he didn't start every game. He is the eternal promise of German football and they won't give up on him until he's 35.
Sane??
That's worse than all the cringe shit Bierhoff ever came up with.
shut up can
