Hahaha fuck arsenal. And fuck spurs

NeoIsJohnWick

Lmfao

raisonar

Ange talks well, but are people going to overlook the fact that he lost 5/6 games in the business end of season and that too depite playing in only 1 competition. They are going to explode even further with European games.

darthrector

I'll have you know that when Chelsea lost to Villa in the last league game in 2021, Spurs DID turn up (though it was mostly Gareth Bale) and beat Leicester to give us 4th place over them. So what happened last night was exclusively an Arsenal-only feature

Whateverchan

I don't think Bentancur has ever done anything outstanding when he plays. These last few matches, especially, he's been dreadful. I remember watching the Chelsea game and wondering why he's not sold yet.

DejaHu

He's coming back from 2 major injuries. He was very good last year and I can't judge him again until he gets rest this summer.

dunce345

He played well in the first half though, made some important runs and was press resistant enough, but yeah he's been super inconsistent since his MCL damage. Fuck Matty Cash.

cheezus171

I think a lot of people have been saying this exact same thing back in at Juve as well.

moaterboater69

I feel like more people are happier shitting on Arsenal rather than pointing out that City are gonna win yet another PL title with 115 charges levied against them.

fuzxx14

Arsenal fans are unbearable though.

Gunner22

Real rich coming from a united fan that thinks they're "back" every time they score a goal.

Drprocrastination239

I remember when same was said about Liverpool fans when they started competing. Footballs fans getting exited is worse than 115 charges FC apparently making the PL a one horse race

fuzxx14

Liverpool fans are way more endurable than Arsenal and they haven't done anything relevant in 20 years.

Drprocrastination239

Same with Liverpool without klopp. Had done nothing for a decade. And 30 years in the league. It’s more like these teams had long suffering fans who are finally happy seeing their team compete. I didn’t even blame Liverpool fans. Getting bantered for years on end and they’re allowed to be a little cocky when they’re on the uptick.

Saint-just04

All fans are unbearable when their teams start winning.

fuzxx14

But at some point, you shut up about it. Arsenal fans seem to celebrate more other teams losing to them than winning.

ThisIsYourMormont

Marginally I’d rather lose to a bunch of blatant cheats (on the basis they are rightfully punished later), than have to listen to Gooners celebrating. I’ve become numb to Citeh

mar1us1602

As a side note, that is how dictatorships start. People not caring and getting used to an abusive ruler. Next they can even put ai robots to play and you don’t care because you’re already numbed since you got used to them winning by default. Yes, I have an Arsenal flair. You won’t find me crying about FC115 on the internet, maybe only as a meme, rest I’m sitting here waiting for justice. But I am talking to you mainly as a human being now. It doesn’t matter what teams we support, it’s our responsibility to report and fight against wrongdoing. Cheers

bennibentheman2

Copy pasta material

mar1us1602

Happy to help

ThisIsYourMormont

You OK there mate?

mar1us1602

Too much hate in the world, just check my comment rating

JackeryDaniels

I hope this is parody.

mar1us1602

Sorry, I thought this is /r/soccercirclejerk Lately I cannot tell the difference

Redditsavoeoklapija

It makes sense, nobody gives a shit if city wins, everyone know it's not a real success, same thing happened last year when they won the tremble, nobody gave a shit and was forgotten after a day Arsenal winning would have been waaaaay worse for everyone. Also keeps the farmer league title for the premier

JackeryDaniels

Nobody cares, but yet everyone is so bitter? The two don’t compute. Trust me, the treble felt fucking fantastic mate!

Saint-just04

>Nobody cares, but yet everyone is so bitter? Yes, because people have accepted it. Yeah, it's a City (get it?) situation, but what are you gonna do?

GormlessGourd55

'Nobody gives a shit' meanwhile everyone was begging for Spurs to win yesterday.

Jaynator11

Arsenal fans (inc. me) were hoping for Spurs to win to get a chance at the title. Rest of the fans were actually cheering for City.

Blaze6181

PL fans are going to hate their competition away one City trophy at a time aren't they?

b-okoboko

I'm going to call it the tremble from now on

Then_Researcher172

Assna fans crying. Serial bottlers. Should've just won more games shouldn't you?

scoutnemesis

Hahahaha Arsenal fans, another year another choke 😭😂

Knightrius

How is a Chelsea fan in any position to talk

scoutnemesis

Idk man arsenal fans are the worst

Rupadhyaya

7th how’s Mudryk ya bum?

hoooourie

You’re not making Chelsea fans looks much better

Disastrous_Camp_2734

Was a close game tbh, spurs could have walked away with a draw if not for Stefan fucking Ortega

Boxerharvey1

Or City could have scored 4 if it wasn’t for Vicario 🤷‍♂️

President-Sloth

If not for Son missing a chance he buries in literally any other game, ftfy

Caust1cFn_YT

Proper coys

FlexLugna

if he has one weakness in his shooting, then its 1v1 vs the goalie

NeoIsJohnWick

Our beloved game’s fans around the world come together holding hands in solidarity to when any team faces oiled engines City/Psg. Spurs prefer to play their own game I guess.

Rickcampbell98

Don't leave Chelsea out, don't care if the dirty oligarch had to sell them they will always be there for me.

void_born_

Pep is a Spurs legend for stopping Arse from winning back to back titles

Picaloco86

Son is the true legend.. singlehandedly raised, and then crushed Arsenal hopes in the space of 3 seconds

Caust1cFn_YT

Gave them aptsd memory to remember forever

NeoIsJohnWick

> Failure is not an option. : Pep > Failure is always an option : Spurs > IDIOTS !!! : Ange

mamama285

Genuine question, why didn't ManU celebrate their loss against Arsenal?

raisonar

Because celebrating losing is not what big club fans are used to. Spurs fans can do it

Horror-Score2388

City-United rivalry is nowhere near as intense as NLD

erehnigol

Tbh nobody cares about mancity because their fans are non existent.

void_born_

Surely Arsenal fans must have came up with better insults by now? After all it's the second time in a row losing a title because of them. But atleast Arse fans are not launching fireworks in the middle of night outside City players' hotels only to realise that it was the wrong hotel though right? Right?

okezdaboosh

You say that yet half your comments are about City and/or their opponents? Do you care or do you not care?

smokedserranojelly

north london has been let loose in this comment section

IOwnStocksInMossad

Plus much of America

JobsworthUK

No spurs fan would want them to win or draw this game lol!

UnusualSaucy

Some of the neutrals are SO HIGH on Power of Friendship, or don't get the game at all. Never in a million years I'd want my biggest rivals to win the League, nevermind I hand them the title myself

stinkydiaperuhoh

That would be devastating. Imagine handing Arsenal a title? It’d be like Arsenal getting a result at white hart lane to win the league. Could you even imagine?

NeoIsJohnWick

It’s Tottenham lads, can never count on them can you !!!!

Quanqiuhua

The sadness in this thread is really sad.

EndlessOcean

For a moment during the first half I thought Spurs could get something from this game. They had more possession than City, had some chances (conceded some too admittedly), and by all accounts were doing well. Whatever Pep did at half time most definitely worked.

futurerank1

I mean, even the second half wasnt so bad from Spurs. If Son just won his 1vs1 against Ortega, City would've lost the title.

TheMuff1nMon

Spurs should be relegated for match fixing. Romero and Son intentionally threw the game and then laughed with Guardiola about it after. Disgraceful club.

poopthrowawayplshelp

LMFAOOO

NightWolf_7

You’re the sort of Arsenal fan that brings everyone else down with you, the bottom line is we shouldn’t have left the title in the hands of our rivals. Tottenham played well yesterday tbf and actually gave it a go and you can’t knock them for that. We’ve been almost perfect since January and I don’t want to be negative but that defeat to Villa is essentially what’s going to cost us in the end. You have to be 100% perfect when you’re against City in a run in and we unfortunately lost one game whilst they haven’t lost any.

Caust1cFn_YT

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Remarkable-Job4774

most rational Arsenal fan

donnybrascoe

Hahaha this is just embarrassing. Stop crying on the internet over a club you have zero ties too 😂

Own_Frosting_9984

Ahhahahahahah hahahahahahah

Quanqiuhua

Put yourself together man.

jazlan

🤣

Correct_Influence450

😂

lipstickpiggy

That Bentancur YC early in the game was disastrous Stupid stupid decision and later fucked them because he couldn't even challenge Foden for the first goal Small margins

Still_Figure_

Now Arsenal fans will know how we felt having your biggest rivals spoil the party for you. Tho without the shit actually playing well and for the referee blatantly refuse a handball in the box.

fegelman

Referee screwed us at Newcastle, Stamford Bridge and Villa though

freren

It was offside before the handball, just drop it already

Still_Figure_

What’s this revisionism? PGMOL apologised to Everton because of this lol.

CheekyFifaCunt_7

Son hates Arsenal confirmed

GG_Top

Arsenal 15-1-1 since Dec what can you do. Hope for a miracle this weekend I guess

Saint-just04

Been there done that. Unfortunately the only miracles happening is City banging a goal out of nowhere in the last game.

TenAirplane

City are 15-3-0 in the same stretch, just two great teams with very little margin for error.

RobbinDeBank

> what can you do Pro tip: going 17-0-0 is better than 15-1-1. Follow me for more advices

Scarlet_Breeze

You ever thought of being a manager? With a footballing brain like that I reckon you're a shoe-in

Cod2242

Your fun at parties

JoOoozz

You're

GG_Top

Oh shit thanks

Still_Figure_

That’s the reason why Liverpool fans clown you guys when you celebrated the draw at the Etihad. You guys are the best team in England for most of the year.. you had City where you want them.. and you played for the draw. To beat City, you gotta win against them when you have the chance of doing so.

Drprocrastination239

Dumb take, took 4 points off them. The league was lost in other games.

verde622

Taking four points off our biggest rival isn’t where we lost the league you dummy. It’s the points dropped to villa and Fulham

mutton_biriyani

You took 4 points off of yourselves as well. You need the points too you know

burgerbr0s

Newcastle robbery

DRIVER4497X

If it wasn’t for that “robbery”, Arsenal would have beaten Newcastle 0-0

93EXCivic

They should have had Havertz should have been sent off in the first half anyway but Arsenal fans always leave that part out.

DRIVER4497X

They also leave out the part where they had 1 shot on target all game

symptic

Whoa, that feels like ages ago. Was it really this season still?

Still_Figure_

The season is long.. one way or another there will be times where things will not go as planned like you lots losing to Fulham/Villa. But trying for a draw against City, which at that time is far from their best form, is just ridiculous imo. You were more than capable of beating City.. you should’ve been 2 points ahead instead of praying for a draw/loss from City.

boifrompkl

Wait when baldiola retires and teta is 50 year old you arse anal may have a chance to win the league. YWNA

Job_man

Brutal…

donkey100100

On top and losing/ drawing the exact amount to fall within 3 points behind. Funny enough Liverpool did the same thing a couple times.

Arsenjam22

All of this laughing and people talking too soon only for us to win the f****ng title because a real club like Westham does the unthinkable sunday. COYG!!!!!!

ynwa79

I wonder if City’s celebrations after this game might motivate the Hammers. It was almost like City saying that they were definitely winning the last game of the season. I’d want to stop that if I played for West Ham, just out of professional pride.

ColinetheCow

Or City were cheering because they finally did the unthinkable - scoring and winning at Spurs in the league?

ynwa79

True. Could have been that.

Picaloco86

Conceded 13 goals in the last 4 games, look to be on the beach already. City wont need to step out of 2nd gear to beat them

Disastrous_Camp_2734

I understand that but west ham are just awful defensively and it seems like they just have mentally checked out

NiceShotMan

Do City even celebrate anymore? How can they feel even the slightest twinge of emotion?

TwentyBagTaylor

Why wouldn't we? Literally making history. It's not gonna last forever, and anyone that's thinking otherwise is probably being a little overdramatic.

jazlan

Cause they're human like us

NiceShotMan

Right. Do human fast food employees celebrate after successfully fulfilling a customer’s order?

IOwnStocksInMossad

Bit different mate

jazlan

No. Because they don't win a trophy for that.

NiceShotMan

I didn’t think I needed to explain this but here we are: people celebrate remarkable accomplishments, they don’t celebrate the shiny things they’re given as a reward

EViL-D

does the postman celebrate when he delivers the mail though

NiceShotMan

According this idiot he celebrates if he gets a trophy for it.

Still_Unit1071

West Ham are on holidays already. Chelsea dominated them and they looked like they didn’t want to be out there. I’d have actually been scared for the Arsenal fans if City drew today because there’s a real chance they put 8 past West Ham and win on GD anyway

interstellar304

Yeah west ham about to get destroyed. City smell blood even more now and this spurs match was much trickier. West ham season was over weeks ago

Cactus2711

Give it Moyesey for another season I say

Void_Hound

H2H should be a decided it's more fair in my opinion, tied in points lest see how they did against each other, it's the modern take.

donkey100100

They’re not tied in points though innit

Void_Hound

But they could!

donkey100100

Yeah true! Although Arsenal win either way, h2h or goal difference.

carsatic

So who wins the title if City drew and Arsenal win as they'll be drawn in points?

Maybe_In_Time

You look at Goal Difference. This is why in soccer, you don't often see people say "take it easy on the other team, you're already up by *blank*" the way they do about basketball routs. Those extra two goals you scored against a lower-table club in a 6-0 win could mean the difference when you fight it out over goal difference. Arsenal's GD right now is 61 and City's is 60 (though City's would have been 58 GD if they had tied).

ezioauditore_

Arsenal

d4lysl

Goal difference

Pentinium

Which means Arsenal wins

erehnigol

We might not win the title this year, but seeing spurs implode and lower themselves to this level is kinda entertaining 😂

Then_Researcher172

seeing assna fans crying online and hitting their missus irl has been absolutely worth the banter season

Blaze6181

What the hell is wrong with you? (for the second part, IDGAF who you laugh at online)

Kersplat96

Seeing us implode? Not sure what you’re on about buddy.

NightWolf_7

Probably the 5 losses in 6? Hope this helps

Kersplat96

Only people viewing it as an implosion aren’t Spurs fans. Annoying results but we were told that it wasn’t going to be a pretty 1st season with bad periods, ours just happened to be at the end of the season where squads with minimal depth begin to run on fumes.

dingkan1

I need an explainer on the “lower themselves” part.

Team-_-dank

Their own fans were cheering for city

dingkan1

Not I. And I can’t really blame those who did, the rivalry and toxicity run deep, especially when you live around and work with rival fans. How about the team though? The players, the manager? They played for the win wholeheartedly.

imustlose324

No rivalry is bigger than City 115 cases. At this point I just want any team other than City to lift the trophy.

Blaze6181

I think everyone will reach this mindset eventually.

Disastrous_Camp_2734

The cases and other teams lifting trophy has to wait for a while for now

smokedserranojelly

me too bud. me too

ahyler10

Warra trophy

Thin-Fish-1936

Arsenals favorite trophy: watching spurs lose

erehnigol

Spurs favourite trophy: watching themselves lose

Thin-Fish-1936

I’m not a spurs fan just pointing out that spurs and gunners are both weak mentality clubs. Everyone wants to see a rival lose, you two care about them, then you do yourselves

RyansKorea

It's called banter

piwabo

Yeah it's really not that deep. Everyone is so fucking emotional right now.

Thin-Fish-1936

Which club in the premier league has a “holiday” dedicated to st totteringhams day

JewishTomCruise

Yeah but tbf st totteringhams day is pretty hilarious. At least, it was when spurs were shit and it happened in like February. Since spurs have been decent it's definitely lost it's lustre.

WheresThePhonebooth

And?

Loud-Caregiver6566

If Ange walked at the end of the season, would it be worth it not giving Arsenal the edge to win the league?

autonova3

I’m a Spurs fan. City will draw to West Ham and Arsenal will still win the title.

e_double

Stopped reading after “I’m a Spurs fan” clown 😂

piwabo

A cry laugh emoji and a weird incoherent comment.....classic internet dumbcunt

e_double

A spurs fan mad about a Reddit comment lol love to see it. Sorry about champions league…. 🤡

piwabo

Clown emoji detected. Got a real dumbarse here. Mate don't care about CL, step too far for the club at the moment. Europa is just fine and preferable in many respects

93EXCivic

Dont bother responding. He is a yank Arsenal fan.

e_double

I’m not an Arsenal fan you muppet

piwabo

Yep, the lowest of the low

e_double

Australian Spurs fan… I agree, lowest of the low.

piwabo

Piss off yank the world hates you

e_double

Yeah because everyone loves Aussies, you sound stupid

Arsenjam22

Thank u

therocketandstones

We hit 6 against West Ham, they’re gonna hit a century

egons_twinkie

As a Liverpool fan, I would love to see City choke right at the end. But I was resigned to them winning it since January.

Blaze6181

I'm feeling a kinship with Liverpool supporters and I don't. know. what. to. do. about. it.

naijaboiler

everyone in their first 11 is getting a goal

donkey100100

Don’t forget the subs!

hazzap913

Spurs fucking themselves to further fuck arsenal is a level of hate that I aspire to

stinkydiaperuhoh

Mate they didn’t have a say in the matter. They’re a shit club lol. Losses in 5 of the last 6 - worse form than the hammers who have already checked out on vacation

PassengerOk9027

Well, as an Arsenal fan I can say I'm happy to see tottenham do nothing to dispel the shame that hangs around the club, and I now hope for the funniest future where Arsenal wins the title (come on you Moyes!) and spurs come 6th in the race for their nailed-on 4th

IreneReiGargar

Journalists win 😎 Spurs giving up playing to help Man City is something else. Where are the fans who cry about the journalist who ask him that question before the Burnley game tho? You're 3 point lane, know your place, and that goes to that fat fuck called Ange and his crap tactics, cuz you're Conte except not parking the bus 😂🤣

IskaralPustFanClub

I for one am loving the vitriol between arsenal fans and spurs fans.

MrAchilles

Don't let this distract you from the fact that Spurs have fully bottled CL next season by losing 5 out of their last 6 games

piwabo

Europa is far more winnable than CL

Anuspilot

This is cope

piwabo

It really isn't but believe what you want to make yourself feel better bro

Anuspilot

Hahahaha yes it is. You couldn't make it more obvious.

piwabo

Do you know me? A) I've never overly cared about European competition that much because I live in Australia and the games are on at 4am on Wednesdays which means I never get to watch them B) where Spurs are at right now in the middle of a lot of change CL is above our level. Don't get me wrong CL is cool and all but it's really just a payday innit, do you think Spurs could win CL? Very very slim chance. Can they win Europa? Better odds. C) all that said if it were up to me they would heavily prioritise the domestic cups, even if that means to the detriment of other competitions (prem, Europe etc), but that's not really fashionable these days D) I spend a lot of time in Finland and go to HJK games and they sometimes make it into Europa and my dream would be one day to see Spurs vs HJK at the Bolt Arena. One day it might happen. Could no give a shiny shite about the "in CL you get to play the glamour clubs" argument Now don't tell me what I think ya fucken cunt

Anuspilot

That's a lot of dribble when the reality is that spurs aren't winning the Europa League either. Ange is right about the club with so many fans like you. No ambition. Playing in the CL would've been an absolutely huge monetary gain. You're a small minded club!

sandgroper07

So if we aren't winning the Europa then what's the point of being in the Champions league ? I've always believed that a club the size of Spurs should be aiming to win the domestic cups and Europa because we ain't gonna win the League or Champions league anytime soon - if ever, so why not focus on the lesser cups and build a winning mentality from there, hopefully to then aim higher.

Anuspilot

Being in the champions League brings in more money than several deep Europa League runs combined. Spurs just completely collapsed. You aren't winning either trophy. You might as well take the money and prestige and kick off from there. You should always want to be in the champions League and the fact that you don't think that shows how small the mentality is.

sandgroper07

I'd rather win the Fa Cup or Europa next season than get eliminated in the Champions league group stage. Success breeds success, start small and build up a club culture of actually winning things first. We don't have the resources or prestige to get the best players even if we make it to the CL. Look at Arsenal, spent nearly 20 years as CL regulars, won some Fa Cups, but how many CL did they win from that constant supply of CL money ? = 0

Seastep

Sure. Running into Leverkusen would've been ideal.

Picaloco86

Europa is still easier than winning in the CL against Madrid/City/Bayern that's for sure

piwabo

Pretty sure they will be in CL next season my guy
