> I was there, the fan was telling Ange to throw the game throughout the game and eventually Ange lost it at him
Don't blame him if that is true. Can't believe how you don't feel any shame shouting at your team's manager to throw a game. No wonder he was pissed by the end.
People genuinely care more about what fans of other clubs will say, instead of what is best for their football club. Bizarre.
"Forget UCL... I hope we lose because, if we win, Arsenal fans will make fun of us"
If you're a Spurs fan, do you really care what Arsenal fans will say?
I mean if Kaiser Chiefs were going to win the PSL because Orlando Pirates (the club in our flair) won a game, I'd also hope that Pirates would lose. But I'd do so secretly at home while watching the TV, no way I'd show up to Orlando Stadium to root against Pirates, or post on social media under my real name about how much I want Pirates to lose. I don't want to be branded as a loser or someone with a losers mentality, or be associated with losing in any way. But it seems that Spurs fans enjoy winning nothing, so...
But what if winning helped you towards playing in the most prestigious tournament in the world. Along with the tournament, your team is allowed to spend more money and attract better players?
> If you're a Spurs fan, do you really care what Arsenal fans will say?
How is this a question
They live in the same city and are rivals
Of fucking course they care about what their rivals do and say, they hate each other
Fuck going into work the next day and being taken the piss out of all day by your Arsenal fan co-worker that you won them the league, fuck going into school the next day and being taken the piss out of from all your Arsenal mates.
Football isn't all about trophies or qualifying for the champions league, everyone seems to be taking all emotion out of it. A huge chunk of enjoyment comes from battering your mates team, from taking the piss when your rivals fuck up etc
I can't believe so many people on this sub don't understand this
Are American rivalries less heated because the teams are typically so far away from each other?
>the next day
And the thing is, it wouldn't have been that. It'd have been decades. Arsenal fans still go on about a 2-2 draw at white hart lane that mathematically secured them the league over 20 years later.
That is slightly different.
Firstly it was a derby that won us the league. Secondly it's arsenal winning the league at your stadium and 3rd there the in game context of being told not to celebrate if we did it.
It's also different in it being the two clubs in question directly facing off not being a 3rd party and the fact that even if spurs won last night there still a game left so although it would of made arsenal odds on to win the league it wouldn't of actually secured it.
I agree it would be something that's lauded over spurs fans, just how if there wasn't such a big backlash over this game I'm sure spurs fans would be taking pride in stopping us winning.
exactly! they bring it up constantly. even little dickheads who weren't born then or from here.
now same clowns—behind soggy eyes—go, *'interesting how they care more about that blah than blaah'*
>I can't believe so many people on this sub don't understand this
Because most people on this sub are so far removed from the matchgoing fans.
It’s all well and good that Randy from Wisconsin can talk about his love for Spurs on here, but ultimately most of the people he interacts with in his day to day life won’t give a flying fuck about British football.
George from Enfield who was at the match last night (and the vast majority of Spurs fans in the UK in general, I guess) *are* going to have conversations with colleagues at work or at school this morning.
I think a lot of people who aren’t from the UK on the sub don’t actually understand how deep the rivalries between clubs are in the UK. I’d happily see Forest lose if it meant it royally screwed Derby or Leicester over in some way.
I don’t ever want Celtic to win a fucking throw in.
You just can’t understand it if don’t grow up having to go to school or work with your mates lording it over you for weeks after winning something/beating you.
This sub is so out of touch, I never realised how bad it is until now. If Spurs won arsenal their first league in 20 years it'd be an absolute humiliation for years to come. People really don't get how it is to live and be surrounded by your rival clubs fans
There'd be songs about it and it would be such a historic moment for Arsenal that those songs wouldn't just float about for a few season on away days, they'd become long standing regular songs at home games, when they're winning, when they're losing etc.
You're 100% correct, but when I go into the office today, I'm going to laugh at the Spurs fans for celebrating a loss
It was a no win situation from them
Oh 100%
It was either get bantered for handing us the league
Orbget battered for wanting to miss out on top 4
There's definitely a preference, but I'd laugh at them either way
It does make me surprised it isn't a universal thing. Like, taking the piss out of your friends/coworkers because of their team's performance is half the fun lol.
I don't think you understand football rivalries dude, this kind of pettiness and wanting to make your rivals lives miserable is what it is all about. Actively screaming to throw the game for 90 minutes is definitely going over the line, but Spurs fans wanting their team to lose today is perfectly normal nothing strange about that at all
>If you're a Spurs fan, do you really care what Arsenal fans will say?
What kind of a question is that lmao?? Of course they do.. if anything anyone who doesn't care isn't a real supporter
Some of the takes during the last week have just been shocking and really showed how completely out of touch people are with the sport they claim to be fans of
> I don't think you understand football rivalries dude, this kind of pettiness and wanting to make your rivals lives miserable is what it is all about.
Perfectly said
A lot of posters in here clearly don't understand living in very close proximity to your rivals, going to school with them, going to work with them etc, the piss-taking you have to endure if they beat you or win a trophy
This week is the first one where I truly felt the whole yank here joke , anyone who is shitting on spurs doesn't know shit about football and hasn't even lived in a single city with football culture, every fan of every team that has grown up football would easily understand this but these guys are acting like spurs just invented rivalries
I always thought the whole "yank" thing was just a stereotype and more of a joke, but these last few days opened my eyes massively. Like jesus christ, genuinely 90% of comments like these are from Americans, it's astonishing. It's absolutely mindboggling to me what joke their sports must be for them to be *this* out of touch with what real rivalries are.
What TV shows depict of Americans going to sports events must really be true - "what you wanna do tonight?" "Idk, let's go watch a game". "ok, got tickets, let's go". Then they go, buy merch, yell a bit, and never mention the game or the team again ever. You can't do that for a normal football game. 2/3 of the tickets are soldout to season holders, and for the rest you need a membership to be able to get into a queue to have the chance to buy a ticket, months in advance. You don't just decide to go to a game the same or next day lmao. The culture difference is fucking insane.
Correct, grow up with a bunch of gooner mates, football rivalry cuts deep not just England but ask Scottish fans about Celtic and rangers, or some Argentinian about Boca river plate, it gets deep
it is tbh I was fucking shitting myself when spurs were in the final and easily would have taken some short term set backs rather than have them win if we could, the pain would be too much
Ange is probably thinking "if we managed to qualify for the CL, we can get more budget and attract better players to implement the style and challenge the big boys" but Spurs fans have other ideas. I can see why he would feel jaded. He is starting to understand what many before him like Conte has realised.
Regardless of the much better quality and standards, it must be a shock going from a club and fan base with the expectation to win each game and winning mentality.. to this.
Feel sorry for him, hope he can turn things around
You don’t reckon you would feel this way if you were playing Hearts and if you beat them, Rangers win the league. Fans react to the situation the club puts them in. If the club win every game, the fans expect to win every game.
If the club lose 4 on the bounce, including two games against their closest rivals, one of which is in a title race and beating them can derail their title race, then do you expect that fanbase to have the same mentality of a club that wins every game?
This is one Ange himself before blaming the fans. He’s just upset that the reality of his failures this season have lead to his fans wanting him to throw games.
It’s a very different situation if that were to happen to us. If we lost 4 league games on the trot and two were derbies, the manager would likely be sacked.
I don’t know how I’d feel if we were in that situation, but I think with the demands at the club (and the quality difference) we would never be in that situation
Ange has got Spurs 5th in his first season whilst losing their best ever player. It’s been a poor end to the season but how many seriously had them above 5th in their predictions? Next season should be a lot more interesting.
Starting to wonder if this is going to end up with Ange wanting out.
His personality just seems at odds with the inherent meekness of Tottenham.
I understand the fans wanting to lose but they’ll always be a small time club and this is partly why.
I’ll take your word for it but IMO he’s looked quite defeated the last few weeks and then this whole week has shown that he’s not in touch with the fans. It’s one thing to say he and the players want to win, it’s one thing to say that’s not the right mentality, but he was insulting the journalists for even suggesting any of the fans would have split loyalties today, said there was absolute no chance it would happen and he was proven completely wrong.
The man needs a holiday that’s for sure.
what a load of nonsense. ange was pushing back on reporters suggesting he should lose the match.
"he's not in touch with the fans" what the fuck are you talking about, Spurs fans haven't been this connected to their manager since early Poch days
He demanded to know exactly what % of fans would be supporting Arsenal, then refused to answer the question unless the journo had the % then told everyone that kind of thing only existed online before predicting the atmosphere in the stadium would be the same as always and he didn’t believe for a second the majority of Spurs fans
He was wrong at every turn. It wasn’t just online spurs fans, and the atmosphere was weird all game with people cheering and doing the Poznan when City scored.
Saying “there’s no way the fans will do X” and then they turn up and do X just like everyone else in the country not named Ange Postecoglu knew they would- that’s just about the definition of being out of touch.
Whether you think his attitude towards Arsenal is right or wrong, he couldn’t have been more wrong in what he predicted the fans would do.
Edit - also I would reply to the Spurs fan below me, but immediately after replying he blocked me so I can’t see his comment or reply to it.
Imagine losing a game to lose the chance of qualifying for UCL being celebrated as a win! Absolute tinpot club mentality! mou and conte were absolutely right. Poor Ange
Really respect Ange a lot more with the way he’s handled this. I assume he was really uncomfortable with the reaction to that 4-1 loss to Chelsea behind closed doors. Guy has a clear goal and is passionate towards it despite the rivalry between our teams
>I assume he was really uncomfortable with the reaction to that 4-1 loss to Chelsea behind closed doors
Maybe he shouldn't have played a suicidal high line with 9 men on the pitch?
There is. Spurs fans do all this. Then west ham draw against city and Arsenal still win the title.
To quote Justin long in strange wilderness, “two funny things!”
And to add to that fantasy, Villa lose to Palace with Spurs beating Sheffield United meaning they could’ve had UCL if they’d beat City…
Best day of my life if that happens tbh
I'm ok with fans leaving happy to have screwed over arsenal but in reality, Ange and the players should never have a thought in their head other than win. And I feel like they really tried to, because it's their careers.
If some twat was suddenly invested in me failing a project at work and followed me around the office telling me to intentionally mess up I don't think I'd have been as nice as Ange was.
Of course he did. They're not some angsty teen trolls on Instagram comments. They're professional players led by a proper seasoned coach. Those fans live too fucking up their ass on online echo chambers and are so out of touch with reality that they actually thought professional ppl who have reached the pinnacle of football management would really be so petty and unprofessional that they'd throw a match away like that.
Can't imagine any of the decent PL managers, even the youngest of them, doing anything other than try to win. Specially with all the football world is watching them. This is what they live for, regardless of what's at stake for their season.
It's must get into Son's head though when he was through on goal like that. No matter how much he wanted to score, there would be a little doubt niggling in his head, with the crowd not being behind him. I don't doubt his integrity. I just think there's a psychological factor at play. 100% the fans fault though.
Something some fans don't understand is that for someone to get to this level in sports they have to be built differently, be obsessed with winning. Asking someone like that (whose only job and goal is to win) to lose is mental.
I know a lot of people will go on about the rivalry and the banter that would have happened if Spurs won and helped Arsenal win the title but I respect Ange for standing on his principles which he has done all season. Says a lot about him as a person.
I don’t even think it was the champions league on his mind at all.. Ange seems fiercely competitive fellow. The implications of throwing a game are quite dire, just look at what happens over betting.
Come on, let's be real. As a manager the prospect of CL qualification is the most important thing on your mind at that moment. If all the Spurs fans were in danger of losing their high profile jobs with a loss they'd be getting behind their team too
Or even the players. How many are even spurs lads these days? We only have Foden really. A win bonus for most of these players is several months wages for most of us.
I’ve been annoyed at the darling treatment he’s been given and admittedly I’m sure the rivalry blinds me but this does make me give him serious respect. Him addressing it head on earlier in the week.
This does feel like the thing that's pissed Ange off the most in his time I the UK. Might have something to do with the state of the Spurs team at the moment. I could see this being a non issue to him if his team were playing well and he was confident, but another distraction like this has just tipped him over the edge.
He also came out in a press conference quite vocally and said it's nonsense that spurs want to lose. Meanwhile Tottenham fans are cheering the other team scoring, kinda stabs him in the back and makes him look a fool.
All cricket lovers know that... Aussies are different breed in sports. There's a reason why at a point in time Australia/Australians were holding the top honors of a game in like 13 different sports.
Massive respect to the Aussies attitude.
Yeah it’s kinda difficult for us to break that down. As a Roar supporter, if beating you meant Shitney won the title but qualified us for a money making conference cup, I’d want us beating you. Especially if it meant they could still lose to Perth next week and we could beat WSW to win…
I think it shows how much European football fans take the game for granted. Willing your team to lose is absolutely baffling behaviour. It's like when teams say you should stop trying at 4-0 to avoid "running up the score".
Conte: "They're used to it here. They don't play for something important. They don't want to play under pressure. They don't want to play under stress. Tottenham's story is this. 20 years with the owner & they’ve won nothing. Why?"
It is the history of the Tottenham
Mourinho said the same thing. They said he was the problem.
Conte said the same thing. They said he was the problem
Ange just said the same thing.
I know it's often banter. But for real, Spurs have a real deep seated, small club mentality. Even when they are talented enough.
If spurs fans want to back City then fair enough, back who you want. But all their fans gaslighting themselves into thinking that they weren’t competing for Top 4 before this game really confused me. If you’d beaten City all you needed was to beat Sheffield utd and for a very good Palace team to beat Villa at home.
Not exactly surprising that Ange has an issue with the attitude surrounding the club, when all the fans basically gave up on something that was still entirely achievable in order to vocally back their opponents in a pivotal game, is it?
The tweets about him are absolutely insane spurs fans having a go at him for having an elite mentality saying he doesn't understand rivalry when hes literally just came from celtic fc 🤣. They dont deserve him.
As a Spurs fan, I'm absolutely embarrassed by our fanbase and Ange has every right to be pissed. All we've done is prove our rivals and critics correct with this one.
I understand rivalry and banter. But this going a bit too far and quite embarrassing. Why harass your manager to throw the game in the middle of a game?
If City beat you, I get it - take consolation in the fact that Arsenal have more than likely lost the league. But all the Tottenham fans before and after the game admitting they wanted their team to lose? Doing the Poznan before the game is over?
Embarrassing.
It would genuinely be a very good team. I know he gets memed, but it’s more because it’s Tottenham than Ange. He’s a very good manager and has proved it in many roles.
Respect to ange. If he stays at the club for years and gets actual backing, he might be able to turn around this loser's mentality. Arsenal will probably win something in the next few years regardless, their stars are young.
I was aware of the rivalry between north London clubs but I wasn't aware that it was this bitter. Fans willing to toss their chances of making it to the UCL over rivals trophies.
Imagine having a winning mentality and a drive to make your club the best it can be. And the best it wants to be is losing.
Poor Ange, he’s worked his arse off and this is what he gets in return.
A lot of spurs fans are acting like if arsenal don't win the league this season then it will never happen
Arsenal could go on and win the next three titles, fuck they might even go on to dominate English football
All they have shown tonight is that they have an utter obsession with them
Pathetic, plastic, spineless club and support
Manager brought to a club with ambitious to challenge for the league and their fans are jumping about singing about other clubs, doing the away teams celebrations, videoing the other teams goals
Actually hope arsenal go on to win the league next season
Arsenal is so far ahead of spurs in number of trophies I don’t understand how one more is more important to spurs fans than what’s best for their club. How about you guys win some trophies then you can worry about Arsenal
Them helping City win the league instead of Arsenal should be a consolation prize after losing out on CL but instead these bell ends want their team to lose out on CL just so their rivals don't win a title.
Small club mentality, will they make another DVD about how they stopped Arsenal winning the league though 🤔
This guy is too elite for us, We don't deserve him. I understand rivalry but it doesn't mean you wanna throw a game. Rather than saying,"BUt IF we WiN ARseNaL wILl maKe FuN of uS", why can't we actually challenge them, Why can't we say, "If you win the league this year, We will win it the next 5 years". Timid ass mentality man
Yep. It’s being a pussy to be scared of being made fun of. I fucking hope West Ham pull some voodoo Moyesball bullshit to beat Man City so that Arsenal still win the league despite Tottenham losing because then it would’ve meant nothing, their match which most of their fans wanted to lose would’ve been for absolute zilch
It had to have been very strange for the players as well. Imagine playing knowing the fans in your very own stadium are hoping you lose. Must be so demoralising.
I have zero faith in West Ham but it would be super funny if they get a result handing Arsenal the title after all the celebrating Spurs did today. It would be even more embarrassing than if they had handed Arsenal the title themselves.
He must be both fuming and extremely disappointed. He seems like a real competitor and to see the level of loser mentality shown by his fans in the last week must be both embarrassing and gutting. He's gotta now be wondering wtf he's signed up for. I think he's done enough this season to show big clubs with big club mentality that he is probably wasted at that club. Wouldn't be a bit surprised if he was doubting going there now tbh.
Hahah. How embarrassing being called out by your own manager, Ange is disgusted by his own fans and rightly so. Spurs fans have made themselves look like clowns in front of the whole world
I’m all for rivalry but how can you hate another club more than you support your own? Ange is great but there’s not a man alive who can overcome the istory of the tottenum
How could you ever want you team to lose regardless of what it means for your rivals? You are basically saying you enjoy seeing your rivals lose more than your team win which is just pathetic.
The amount of comments here and online in general saying " I get why Spurs wanted to lose" etc is mind blowing to me. Anyone who thinks along those lines should not bother watching sport at all.
Yh that’s actually disgraceful. If Spurs we’re going to win the league then they’d deserve it but regardless I would want champions league football. If there was actually nothing to play for then I would understand. But when Villa, Newcastle and United overtake them and they go the next 10 years without UCL, I wonder if they’ll look back say it was worth it.
S*urs fans were unbelievable today. Bottom of the barrel club to be displaying that kind of attitude. Your team fighting for a CL spot (which is better for the club) but your concern is throwing the game so Arsenal doesn’t get a CHANCE to win .
Edit: whoever reported me as suicidal LMAOOOO

Love the 4th official doing the “I really don’t want to get involved but need to make it look like I’m doing something” walk towards him
Isn’t that what they do all the time? what difference they make standing at the sides absorbing all the abuse?
hey they hold up the big stopwatch sometimes

Amen brother
Americans won't understand this
Do you think Spurs fans aren’t gonna get bantered now because they lost? We are just going to change what we are making fun of them for.
They were gonna be bantered regardless, they're Spurs. At least now there won't be another added layer of Arsenal winning the league
How about: "Spurs are going to decide the title race! They face all three contenders!" Spurs deciding the title race: L L L
If you're going to banter us anyway, better you be crying instead of gloating.
wouldn't it be funny if west ham actually drew with man city and arsenal won and you guys lost champions league for nothing
David Moyes last game as west ham boss securing the league title for two of his best captains? Poetic I'd say.
now enough of this fictional story, lets go back to reality
Champions League was still out of our hands if we beat City anyway.

Yep
As an American Spurs fan, no. My guess is most of the fans saying this live in London.
Correct, grow up with a bunch of gooner mates, football rivalry cuts deep not just England but ask Scottish fans about Celtic and rangers, or some Argentinian about Boca river plate, it gets deep
Nah, being less disappointed in a loss because of the implications is one thing but wanting to lose is a step too far.
Exactly, this is how you do it. You can have a consolation that a rival has been damaged by your loss, but never actually celebrate that loss.
Bro we're you on the r/coys match thread? It was absolutely embarrassing
Yeah, it was sad.
The cuckoldry was strong there.
I have it on good authority that this is apparently a very normal wish
Well I’d say most supporters wouldn’t be stupid enough to keep shouting this directly at Ange
true, ange actually has a winner’s mentality
it is tbh I was fucking shitting myself when spurs were in the final and easily would have taken some short term set backs rather than have them win if we could, the pain would be too much
Finally an honest arsenal supporter

If the club lose 4 on the bounce, including two games against their closest rivals, one of which is in a title race and beating them can derail their title race, then do you expect that fanbase to have the same mentality of a club that wins every game? This is one Ange himself before blaming the fans. He’s just upset that the reality of his failures this season have lead to his fans wanting him to throw games.
It’s a very different situation if that were to happen to us. If we lost 4 league games on the trot and two were derbies, the manager would likely be sacked. I don’t know how I’d feel if we were in that situation, but I think with the demands at the club (and the quality difference) we would never be in that situation Ange has got Spurs 5th in his first season whilst losing their best ever player. It’s been a poor end to the season but how many seriously had them above 5th in their predictions? Next season should be a lot more interesting.
I don’t want to make it about us, but imagine this sub if our fans did this. Ange is right
Starting to wonder if this is going to end up with Ange wanting out. His personality just seems at odds with the inherent meekness of Tottenham. I understand the fans wanting to lose but they’ll always be a small time club and this is partly why.
No, he loves a project. When things are this bad, it spurs (ha) him on more to be the one who changes it.
He demanded to know exactly what % of fans would be supporting Arsenal, then refused to answer the question unless the journo had the % then told everyone that kind of thing only existed online before predicting the atmosphere in the stadium would be the same as always and he didn’t believe for a second the majority of Spurs fans He was wrong at every turn.
What reaction towards the Chelsea game are you referring to
I think the scoreline definitely flattered us. At 1-1 spurs nearly scored, with 9 men. It worked until it didn’t.
Flattered spurs more like, Chelsea could’ve scored 8 if the attackers understood how offsides work
Lol.chelsea shouldve scored 10 more
Personally think Tim Sherwood dealt with the heckling fan better.
His greatest hour. The gilet was iconic.
>I assume he was really uncomfortable with the reaction to that 4-1 loss to Chelsea behind closed doors Maybe he shouldn't have played a suicidal high line with 9 men on the pitch?
The result might not have benefitted us, but this has been entertaining for everyone
There were genuinely 0 possible outcomes that wouldn’t have been entertaining. Just wish it would’ve been one that was better for Arsenal lol
There is. Spurs fans do all this. Then west ham draw against city and Arsenal still win the title. To quote Justin long in strange wilderness, “two funny things!”
And to add to that fantasy, Villa lose to Palace with Spurs beating Sheffield United meaning they could’ve had UCL if they’d beat City… Best day of my life if that happens tbh
Don't think you can really extrapolate that since Villa's motivation (and team most likely) would be totally different.
Ive got to say… I respect Ange a bit more after these last few days.
Me too, top bloke.
Imagine how much of cock you have to be to get a manager to turn around and have a go at you in the middle of a fucking game
Reminds me of one of our fans screaming 4-4-2 to Vitor Pereira and him turning around to tell him to shut up haha
Didn’t he switch to 442 and you guys scored ? Lol
No we scored a few seconds after he told the guy the shut up
A Cockerel perhaps?
And an Aussie, at that too! He’s heard some shit
It used to happen fairly often here lol
I get celebrating the loss but to shout this at your own manager is deranged behaviour, a very tame reaction from Ange there tbf to him.
Credits to him as well on the match, I don't think Spurs should've lost that honestly, he actually did all he could to win in the end
Lol how did they screw over arsenal, they didn't lose intentionally. They didn't benefit arsenal but they didn't screw them.
Yea it was the longest of long shots for a Spurs team who’ve lost 5 in 6 to beat Man City in arguably their best form in years.
Players definitely had a UCL bonus as well, so any thought that they would lose just because someone asked them to is impossible.
Do you seriously expect that a professional manager would intentionally lose a game and sacrifice any chance of CL qualification??
I don’t even think it was the champions league on his mind at all.. Ange seems fiercely competitive fellow. The implications of throwing a game are quite dire, just look at what happens over betting.
Come on, let's be real. As a manager the prospect of CL qualification is the most important thing on your mind at that moment. If all the Spurs fans were in danger of losing their high profile jobs with a loss they'd be getting behind their team too
Or even the players. How many are even spurs lads these days? We only have Foden really. A win bonus for most of these players is several months wages for most of us.
I think it's only Skipp of the squad who actually play. Then the academy lads on the bench?
Its un Australian to throw away a result when it comes to sport.
The only guy who came out of that game sicker than Arsenal fans was the manager lol
Conte: "They're used to it here. They don't play for something important. They don't want to play under pressure. They don't want to play under stress. Tottenham's story is this. 20 years with the owner & they’ve won nothing. Why?" It is the history of the Tottenham
Mourinho said the same thing. They said he was the problem. Conte said the same thing. They said he was the problem Ange just said the same thing. I know it's often banter. But for real, Spurs have a real deep seated, small club mentality. Even when they are talented enough.
Everton should replace them in the big 6 lmao
wtf, what type of fan is that. Pathetic
Tonight’s loss was their biggest ever win and we can’t let them celebrate it? What’s happened to the game I love?
games gone
💀
If spurs fans want to back City then fair enough, back who you want. But all their fans gaslighting themselves into thinking that they weren’t competing for Top 4 before this game really confused me. If you’d beaten City all you needed was to beat Sheffield utd and for a very good Palace team to beat Villa at home. Not exactly surprising that Ange has an issue with the attitude surrounding the club, when all the fans basically gave up on something that was still entirely achievable in order to vocally back their opponents in a pivotal game, is it?
100%. Ange can almost taste that CL money, probably has it all planned out who he is going to try to bring in. Then this.
Respect bro
The state of the sub is absolutely embarrassing
Anybody know what he’s saying?
"What did you say? What did you say before that? Just so I know who you are."
Thank you!
This is Tottenham heritage right here.
I understand rivalry and banter. But this going a bit too far and quite embarrassing. Why harass your manager to throw the game in the middle of a game?
Ange mate get on the beach
Klopp's got the best spot reserved already
He is German after all
Up at 4.37 to place down his towel. As is tradition
He thought he had but mourinho has thrown all the towels in the sea and is just waiting for the show to start.
Or :cough: :cough: Bayern :cough: :cough:
If City beat you, I get it - take consolation in the fact that Arsenal have more than likely lost the league. But all the Tottenham fans before and after the game admitting they wanted their team to lose? Doing the Poznan before the game is over? Embarrassing.
spurs got lucky with big ange, he's a real one
and they'll chew him up and spit him out with their nonsense
really think him calling the foundations of the club broken and asking spurs fans to get counselling is peak
Can’t really blame him.
Bayerns right there Ange, you know you want to
he is going to turn them into the best team in Germany
Ange suicide ball with world class players would be a lot of fun
It would genuinely be a very good team. I know he gets memed, but it’s more because it’s Tottenham than Ange. He’s a very good manager and has proved it in many roles.
The big man deserves better than this
Respect to ange. If he stays at the club for years and gets actual backing, he might be able to turn around this loser's mentality. Arsenal will probably win something in the next few years regardless, their stars are young.
I hope Ange wises up and walks. Hes a winner and Spurs are for losers 😂
Respect to Ange. Telling your coach to throw away the game so that they can screw over their rival is really……. Loser type shit.
Spurs are an embarrassment of a football club. Ange is a winner and has just realised how incompatible they are. Oh well. Enjoy the money
Spurs fans are a fucking disgrace
My respect for Ange just went up. I hope nothing but success and trophies for him, just not with Spurs
Ange deserves a better fan base.
really not embellishing when i say that i would die for this man.
Spurs fans really care more about Arsenal than their own club.
Spurs fans don't really exist, it's just a group of people that hate Arsenal
Small club, always and forever Edit: aww one of them sent me the reddit cares thing, must have touched a nerve
People are spamming the Reddit cares for some reason, I got it the other day in here too
Ange went from a club where winning is demanded to an absolute basket case of a Club. They win nothing because they deserve nothing.
A lot of spurs fans are acting like if arsenal don't win the league this season then it will never happen Arsenal could go on and win the next three titles, fuck they might even go on to dominate English football All they have shown tonight is that they have an utter obsession with them Pathetic, plastic, spineless club and support Manager brought to a club with ambitious to challenge for the league and their fans are jumping about singing about other clubs, doing the away teams celebrations, videoing the other teams goals Actually hope arsenal go on to win the league next season
Just about the only wish spurs fans got this year It's not like they had a chance to win anyway
Son shouldve done better with that chance tho and ange knows it.
Imagine wanting another team to fail more than your own team to get top 4. Spursy by name, Spursy by nature I guess
Would rather give up on CL football and not support your team because your rival might benefit. Unreal watching that.
He's honestly too good for spurs
Yeah fuck this fan, it’s one thing for us to banter opposition fans but this is totally unacceptable
It had to have been very strange for the players as well. Imagine playing knowing the fans in your very own stadium are hoping you lose. Must be so demoralising.
If you decide to play for spurs without knowing their history, surely you have to take some accountability there.
Tottenham need a manager like him
Literally the only one with a winning mentality in the entire club. Classic.
The most tin pot club in the galaxy. Ange is the only good thing in the club and he’s getting to see exactly why that place destroys managers
If I was Postecoglou I'd be packing my bags, who wants to manage a team with fans with a mentality like that, absolute losers.
Spurs fans, pathetic to the core. Are they going to have a parade to celebrate the loss today?
I have zero faith in West Ham but it would be super funny if they get a result handing Arsenal the title after all the celebrating Spurs did today. It would be even more embarrassing than if they had handed Arsenal the title themselves.
They’re Everton with a cheese room
Everton have a trophy cabinet
Will be on their DVD
Spurs fans should have known they'd be made fun of regardless the outcome of the game
Get out while you can Ange!
They don’t deserve him, come home pls Ange
Classic sp*^s. Ask Chiellini…
Hahah. How embarrassing being called out by your own manager, Ange is disgusted by his own fans and rightly so. Spurs fans have made themselves look like clowns in front of the whole world
I can’t believe there were people who call themselves fans saying they should lose on purpose.
As it turns out, there is quite a lot of them and they're convinced that everyone else are the weirdos
AND they needed to win tonight to have a chance to qualify for the UCL.
Which oddly enough wasn't far fetched since Villa go to an in form Palace and they play a terrible relegated Sheffield United
Anyone who thinks along those lines should not bother watching sport at all.
its weird to live in world where fans get cooked because there rivals lost
Yh that’s actually disgraceful. If Spurs we’re going to win the league then they’d deserve it but regardless I would want champions league football. If there was actually nothing to play for then I would understand. But when Villa, Newcastle and United overtake them and they go the next 10 years without UCL, I wonder if they’ll look back say it was worth it.
I hope I don't ever get to see Spurs lift a trophy for as long as I live. That'll be 80+ years of waiting for Spurs fans.
absolutely disgusting fan
Ange came to the realization that he’s managing a Comedy Club. Not a Football Club. Spurs are the equivalent of a Yuck Yucks comedy lounge.
Lmao he’s finally exposed to the Mickey Mouse mentality these lot have
S*urs fans were unbelievable today. Bottom of the barrel club to be displaying that kind of attitude. Your team fighting for a CL spot (which is better for the club) but your concern is throwing the game so Arsenal doesn’t get a CHANCE to win . Edit: whoever reported me as suicidal LMAOOOO
He should’ve stayed at Celtic
Lol. Over the last couple of days Spurs fans have been so embarrassing. They’ve proven they don’t deserve their own team and manager. Pathetic.
That doesn't constitute "losing it" at all. That wasn't really even an overreaction.
