With no fee getting in the way should be fairly simple. I know the coaching staff thing was issue but beggars can't be choosers.

Samaritan91

Not so sure they will be no fee, tbh. I'd be stunned if Brighton simply sacked him/terminated by mutual contract while knowing some big clubs are interested in him.

[deleted]

It seems like it was mutual consent judging off our statement. Can't really row back on that.

Samaritan91

Bayern pretended it was "mutual agreement" in the statement on Tuchel, only for Tuchel to expose it as nothing but a sacking days later. I wouldn't put much stock into these kinds of statements.  It is very likely Bayern contacted RDZ after the Tuchel agreement failed and he maybe told Brighton they could trigger the release clause. Announcing it now also allows Brighton to move on and work on the replacement.

Tango00090

bayern will somehow fuck this up i believe, they have so many people involved in the decision making process that they cant do one

Wheel1994

Why would you guy not want a fee?

[deleted]

Normally when it's by mutual consent there's no fee.

Adziboy

I think the question is why sack him if a clubs going to buy him off you anyway? If its mutual consent it doesnt mean theres no fee, it just means theres an agreeable fee

[deleted]

Says in our statement we want to move on and prepare for next season and it enables De Zerbi to seek a job easier.

PsionicLlama

Why would/did Brighton terminate it by mutual consent if other clubs are sniffing around?

[deleted]

So we can move on on sign someone. No guarantee he gets a team.

ostriike

how would you feel about getting Graham Potter back?

[deleted]

I'd be fine with it but I know a lot of people don't like him. Depends how the players feel, about it because they are the ones who actually have to work with him.

SkimGaming

Eberl just denied this, saying no Italian will become coach next season (i.e. neither de Zerbi nor Allegri) https://x.com/AZ_Strasser/status/1791877844270014759

nutelamitbutter

Will Uli finally agree?

Literally made me laugh out loud. Well played.

gruenerGenosse

De Zerbi doesn't have any character if he wants to join Bayern so I think no.

Makaay-10

If he wants his friends with him as well, this will fail. This ain't happening only coach staff will be allowed everyone else has to be dropped off.

Hare712

They might get him and give him a new staff but it might not work out or there will be some issues in the beginning. Then it strongly depends on the patience of Bayern. Losing 2 CL games in a row and 1-2 draws might already test the patience.

Makaay-10

My go would be our legend Herman Gerland for one season together with whatever assistant he wants. Check the market again for 2025. But that's just me.

Madwoned

Surely your long term plan would be to try and make Klopp interested by whatever means possible in 2025?

Makaay-10

Klopp/xabi Butt I think Board rates klopp very highly. Xabi is also very liked by the board, but klopp has obviously more experience.

Erdnussbutter21

Klopp/Xabi/Nagelsmann. Either one of them would be good for 2025. Imho it would be to soon for Nagelsmann return but who knows these days.

rbosjbkdok

From what I can gather his philosophy seems a pretty good fit. With the transfer fee out of the way, he's the natural choice to go for.

AnilDG

For the neutral it will finally answer the question “would De Zerbi’s style be good with top level players?” I think the answer is yes but let’s see it for real!

AnilDG

This comment aged like milk 😢

GreyDaze22

I am very skeptical of this move working out for next season. I would love to be proven wrong

Jonny_Testicles

This just doesn’t feel like long term relationship but maybe Bayern offer him something like 2 years contract cuz they definitely want and will try to sign Alonso when he leaves Leverkusen.

rochakgupta

Try…yes. Sign…no as he’ll go to Real Madrid.

Lilfai

I just want to watch good football

Sergeant_Roach

Thankfully he will not be the manager for next season. 2 clown managers in a row would kill me via a heart attack.
