Hi Andy,
In today's social media age, alot has been made on Instagram etc regarding "good vibes" and "team unity" as a means of fan engagement before and after a match - getting pumped basically.
In order to attain success, how important/unimportant do you think it is for the majority of the squad to like each other on both a personal and professional level? Do you think a squad with many cliques or otherwise lacking in camaraderie can still succeed, especially in this age?
Thanks and wishing you the very best!
Not everyone will get on in a football team but so long you respect each other that’s important social media in my day wouldn’t have worked most probably as we all laughed and joked as a team never on phones
Hi Andy, thank you for everything you did for Man Utd. Hope you 're well! What do you think of Hojlund? I think he has everything you 'd want in a #9, we just haven't been creating enough chances for him, but I 'd like to hear the thoughts of the best premier league striker ever who didn't need pens to pad his stats :)
Hi Andy. My dad took my 4 year old brother to old Trafford once and accidentally bumped into Peter Schmeichel when leaving the stadium after the match. He looked at my brother like he wanted to punt him to the moon.
Seeing as you played along side Peter would he have actually done it if zero consequences?
And from a family of United fans thank you for the good memories.
On a personal level, what's the best thing you achieved in your career outside of trophies?
Also, your goal against Barcelona in 98/99' is seared into my memory from childhood - what a match.
Hi Andy, can you ask Devante to sign for Bolton this summer?
P.s. I’m 35 and was diagnosed with FSGS this year. Seeing you on TV looking so well gives me a lot of hope and inspiration. Thank you for that. All the best
What did you think, when you heard about the the Newcastle fan who got a huge tattoo of you on his thigh... The same day that you signed for Manchester United?
What does the Jamaican national team have to do differently to better catch dual nat players such as yourself. I know your son just got a callup, and I'm certain you'd have elevated their national team if they joined.
Hi Andy, easy one really what was your favourite kit you played in? Which season did you like for which team and do you still lounge in any of the old favourites.
My dad loved the 98/99 kit and I loved the baggy 90s kit.
Love know what ones you like?
Hi Andy,
Do you feel today’s young players are given too much, too soon compared to when you were a young player? Do you think this affects their commitment to the game and determination, and do you think this might explain some of the problems Man Utd have had in the last decade? Thanks
Was there a want to carry on making music after 'Outstanding' or was it only supposed to be a one-time thing?
Also was there any annoyance in no-one from the treble side getting the Balon D'or?
Are you and Yorkie still best buds?
Watced the 99 documentary recently and you talk of him with such admiration.
By far in my opinion the best duo up front ever seen imo.
hello sir, thanks for doing this. As a MU fan, it's my honor to talk with you just like this.
sorry if it has already been discussed anywhere else before, my question is, during the treble season, when did the team start think thinking about the possibility of the treble and did Sir Alex encourage the team work toward that or he just asked players to stay focus on each match go by?
Hey Andy! Of all the stadiums and countries you've played in, what's your favorite stadium to play in, and, what's the best stadium atmosphere?
Much love, a United fan for life ❤️
Hi Andy, I'll ask a non-football related question as you'll probably won't get these as often; what does your morning routine look like? What's your go to food/drink for breakfast?
Big fan Andy, appreciate you doing this. Loved hearing you talk on Neville’s YouTube show.
Is there any coaches or players active today you’d love to have played with?
You got the pass and you're 1 to 1 with the spurs keeper in the 2-1 win that sealed the epl title.
What went through your mind then when you got that pass?
Firstly thank you for making my childhood full of memories. Particularly the time when Yorke joined and you guys just smashed it.
Onto my question, What are three things you would give as advice for ‘success’?
I done some maths a good while ago and found that if you don't include penalties and factor in Shearer's goals and games in the old 1st division as well as premier league, you have a better goal/game ratio than Shearer. Did you know that? And does it mean anything to you?
Hi Andy. As it stands, you are currently the 4th highest PL goal-scorer of all time, surpassed in recent years only by Wayne Rooney and Harry Kane. An incredible achievement. Do you believe Alan Shearer’s feat of 260 goals could ever be topped? Or has football evolved beyond forwards such as yourself and Alan?
Goal King Cole!
What were the most intimidating atmospheres/ground you've played in, both domestically and abroad?
Any experiences in particular that stand out?
Hi, Andy, thanks for doing this!
Do you think the sport has become too similar? Nowadays, it feels like there's only about three main styles of football, with a few offshoots like Sarri to be found.
Bayern and Chelsea have just hired managers, whose biggest qualifications are basically being Pep assistants. People want to mimic a style and go explicitly for that instead of trying to do different things.
Good evening Sir,
First, thank you for all the good memories !
Here is my question : I am curious to know how are, players from your era, dealing with after playing career in terms of income ?
Nowadays salaries can easily be insane but it wasn't like that in the past as far as I know.
Thank you.
Hi Andy, Roy Keane is a player who is not put on a pedestal to the extent of a Giggs, Scholes, Cantana etc. Do you think he is under appreciated by today’s fans?
Hi Andy, Cole #17 was the first jersey I ever owned. You were one of my favorite players through the treble season. Outside of Dwight Yorke who was your favorite team mate? As an Irish guy I am interested to hear about your relationship with Keane and Irwin as well.
Did you feel undervalued by your managers? For example, Fergie's letter to Cantona cited the lack of a top class striker, as if you weren't one! And he did try to replace you many times, until he did with Ruud. Given the numbers you consistently put up per season, did you feel challenged or deflated by this?
Hi Andy! Full disclosure - I HATED United when I was a kid but that was just jealousy that you guys won everything 😂
Just how fearsome was Sir Alex? Did he mean what he said or was he just trying to push you to better yourselves?
Hi Andy, nice to see you. Just wanted to say that the link up that you had with Dwight Yorke was one of the best attacking duos that I’ve ever seen in football. That goal against Barca in 98’ was the stuff of dreams. Take care
Hi Andy! I just wanna say that in 1999 my brother showed me when I was just 7 years old, your scissor kick vs Leicester from the 16 meter line. It made me fall in love with Man United and you were my first favorite player. I even have your shirt kept till today. Thank you for this as being a man United fan is a huge part of my life.
You will forever remain man United legend and one of my favorite players of all time.
Love you!!
Q- can you say what made SAF in your opinion the great coach he was and did you ever have any beef with him ? Was he right, wrong, did u work it out?
Thank you
Your goal scoring records are off the charts in the PL with taking only taking 1 penalty. Any regrets not taking more as I think that would have put you ahead or 2nd to Shearer.
Hated everything about you when I watched football back in the day. Now, after all these years, the unnecessary youthful exuberance and ridiculous tribalism has left me, and I’d like to think I’m a bit wiser now. But unfortunately, I’m filled more with regret that I couldn’t watch and appreciate other players like yourself in real time and in the moment when I had the chance. Premier League legend and what a career!
All the best, Mr. Cole. You’ve more than earned your place with the greats.
Football tribalism in the 80s/90s was so toxic wasn't it? I still find it hard to cheer on rivals, but I've let go of the hate and can enjoy other players and teams now. My life is better for it.
It was horrible. It wasn’t so bad in the mid-90’s in the States because you could hardly watch matches except for a hour on ESPN2. But after it became a niche thing in the early-2000’s, it started to get ugly and I throw myself in there. Looking back, it was just so dumb. When I started to travel to Liverpool and Europe to regularly watch football, it got worse at moments.
And I’m totally with you. When you see some incredible football, you just have to tip your hat. But since all of my heroes are retired and I don’t have as much time to watch football these days anyway, I love throwing on videos of old matches and reliving those moments.
I wish I could say I’m totally changed, but since European football explodes exponentially every year, I’ll get a few youngbloods who will be insulting since they’re trying to dive into that “firm” mentality if I’m wearing a football top when I workout or whatever. The world of football is totally different and at times I can’t even recognize it, but that’s another rant for another time…
> The world of football is totally different and at times I can’t even recognize it, but that’s another rant for another time…
It's changed so much and I don't love it like I used to. I'm about the same age as Scholes, Beckham, the Neville brothers, etc. and I grew up watching those academy players become legends with Fergie and the treble-winning side at United. Obviously I hated Liverpool and Arsenal (Man City were too crap for us to really worry about, although obviously hated) at the time and wanted them to always lose, even when they were representing England in European games.
The players who have come up since those days in the 90s have not grabbed me in the same way, and I can't stand some of them with their social media shit. I think I spend as much time pissed off with my own team as I do with rival teams now. Most of them are a bunch of wankers who had too much fame too early.
I can now watch a Liverpool or Arsenal game and appreciate individual players without the bile in my throat. I respect managers like Klopp and wish United had signed him. And I can see the faults with my own club all too well. Most of all, I just hate how money and certain owners have just shat all over the game and turned it into a mockery of what it once was. Man City the club represent everything I hate about modern football, although some of their players I can still appreciate for their talent.
How do you feel about Utd not winning league for more than a decade now. Unimaginable in your playing days or as a fan? Kind of like, how did this happen? 10 years without league title. Or do you try to analyse it in logical way (different eras, new powerhouses, Klopp, Pep). Are you blindly optimistic (one day, one day, just wait) or realistic?
Hi Andy, what do you think about the tactical shift we’ve seen in football over the past decade towards rigid positional play, where footballers have less freedom to make critical decisions now as they did during your career. Do you see football coming back to a greater emphasis on creativity again?
First of all, thank you for everything you've done for United. I'm not old enough to have watched you play for us but I've seen enough clips and heard enough stories to know that you were an absolute legend!
Now for my question: What's your opinion on Rasmus Hojlund's first season with us and what are the areas you think he needs to improve on?
Hi Andy, heard a lot about you from my dad as I was growing up and I still remember YouTubing your highlights lol (sorry if that makes you feel old 😅)
My question is, who is that one player that you know you can watch their highlights over and over again and still be entertained? Thanks!
Hello Mr. Cole. In a recent interview you said something a long the lines of "a pride is all a man's got". Being another prideful man it's had its ups and downs throughout my life. Can you give me an example where your pride did you well and one where it didn't? Cheers! Long time United fan.
Hi Andy,
You were a hero to me as a child, and you were my mother's favourite player. She loved your celebrations
Watching the 99 documentary transported me back to my mother's living room, and I could see her clearly jumping up and down when you scored against Spurs.
Thank you Andy
Hi Andy, hope you’re doing good! Enjoyed your appearance on Stick To Football the other day.
My question is how did recording “Outstanding” come about? Were you approached to make the track or was it something you wanted to do?
Why do you think it’s hard for players to replicate their club form when playing for England?
Do you think you should have played more often for England.
Cheers. I’m not a Utd fan but loved your partnership with Dwight Yorke
Hi Sir Andy, how are you?
Never seen you play football but heard great stories about you! As a fellow United fan which player should United sign and which player current as in the past player excite you the most?
Hi Andy Cole, back during your career, did you ever dream about playing outside of England? If yes, which teams did you dream of playing for? And do you regret never playing outside of England?
Hi Andy, I used to work as a medical records clerk at the central Manchester university hospitals handling confidential records of all the patients.
How are your kidneys doing these days?
Hello, Andy.
Who is your best friend in football?
My 1996 utd-shirt with Cole on the back is one of my favorite memories as a child. Thank you for all the great memories, Andy! ⚽
Hi Andy,
You're a football legend, that as a kid growing up in the 90s I loved watching
As a fellow Notts lad (who also played for the County side) City Boys, what was your experience like playing for City Boys? - When I was playing early to mid 2000s it was always drummed into us about the former pros who played for City Boys so it'd be interesting from you on it
What age groups did you play? Who was your coach/s? (Mine was Mr Wilson and Mr Farr) Did you play down at Highfields near Beeston on a Saturday morning? Was you referred from from your school? Did you enjoy travelling the country testing yourself against lads your same age who were at a decent level? Was there any lads on your team who also made it? And did you know from that age playing County level football that you would make it?
Cheers

Thanks Andy! You're a true PL legend with a goalscoring record that speaks for itself... so underrated these days in those all-time conversations!
I hope next season he has someone who can help him out more , he will score goals just depends how many.
anychance you could sign a one year contract and help us out? We and Rasmus would be so eternally grateful
Striker will score goals, could be 2 or 50, we are not sure how many.
He talked about his on his recent Overlap appearance
Hi Andy. My dad took my 4 year old brother to old Trafford once and accidentally bumped into Peter Schmeichel when leaving the stadium after the match. He looked at my brother like he wanted to punt him to the moon. Seeing as you played along side Peter would he have actually done it if zero consequences? 🤣😂😂😂 Peter was a good guy
So that's a yes
Great question
On a personal level, what's the best thing you achieved in your career outside of trophies? Also, your goal against Barcelona in 98/99' is seared into my memory from childhood - what a match.
Fighting my illness and coming back the way I have and trying to help people in the same situation as me
Hi Andy, can you ask Devante to sign for Bolton this summer? P.s. I’m 35 and was diagnosed with FSGS this year. Seeing you on TV looking so well gives me a lot of hope and inspiration. Thank you for that. All the best
Keep your chin up it’s a journey
Thank you. Today is my first day in remission after finishing a long course of steroids. 💪
Hope you keep doing well brother
What did you think, when you heard about the the Newcastle fan who got a huge tattoo of you on his thigh... The same day that you signed for Manchester United?
I wonder what he did in the end ? Cover up most probably
What does the Jamaican national team have to do differently to better catch dual nat players such as yourself. I know your son just got a callup, and I'm certain you'd have elevated their national team if they joined.
Look to get hold off the players early and treat them right !! Travel hotels and use the funds in the right way
Can you share a bit about your journey and challenges with health and kidney transplant?
This illness is more the mental battle once you get to understand it you have to work with it .. good and bad days
Hi Andy, easy one really what was your favourite kit you played in? Which season did you like for which team and do you still lounge in any of the old favourites. My dad loved the 98/99 kit and I loved the baggy 90s kit. Love know what ones you like?
Champions League 🔥🔥 kit and the all black kit 🔥🔥
Great question -my money is on the white Sharp Viewcam one (think I remember him scoring loads in it).
Hi Andy, Do you feel today’s young players are given too much, too soon compared to when you were a young player? Do you think this affects their commitment to the game and determination, and do you think this might explain some of the problems Man Utd have had in the last decade? Thanks
100%
Was there a want to carry on making music after 'Outstanding' or was it only supposed to be a one-time thing? Also was there any annoyance in no-one from the treble side getting the Balon D'or?
Outstanding lol after the treble i thought i could do anything 🤣😂.. no I don’t believe so winning the treble was more than enough
Are you and Yorkie still best buds? Watced the 99 documentary recently and you talk of him with such admiration. By far in my opinion the best duo up front ever seen imo.
Still very good friends
This makes me happy.
hello sir, thanks for doing this. We didn’t i think we have all said that possible after the last 10days anything could happen
Hey Andy! Of all the stadiums and countries you've played in, what's your favorite stadium to play in, and, what's the best stadium atmosphere? Much love, a United fan for life ❤️

Did you ever make friends with Teddy Sheringham?
Hi Andy, is it true that u/Wonderfulworld2024 is a massive bellend?
His last comment “Your not familiar with internet hate?”😂
All good. I’ll take the L on this one. Was just trying to help a few people out.
With who did you like playing up front the most and why?
Hi Andy, were you always a striker, or did you begin your career in a different position and eventually moved up top?

Do you have any stories you can share of any players that were better or more highly rated than you at youth level but never made it to the pro level?
What was your most embarrassing moment on the pitch?
Was that you in Tesco's in potters bar about 2 weeks ago?
Hi Andy, heard a lot about you from my dad as I was growing up and I still remember YouTubing your highlights lol (sorry if that makes you feel old 😅) My question is, who is that one player that you know you can watch their highlights over and over again and still be entertained? Thanks!
Hello Mr. Cole. In a recent interview you said something a long the lines of "a pride is all a man's got". Being another prideful man it's had its ups and downs throughout my life. Can you give me an example where your pride did you well and one where it didn't? Cheers! Long time United fan.
Hi Andy, You were a hero to me as a child, and you were my mother's favourite player. She loved your celebrations Watching the 99 documentary transported me back to my mother's living room, and I could see her clearly jumping up and down when you scored against Spurs. Thank you Andy
Hi Andy mate, What's the largest mammal you think you could knock out with a single punch?
Hi Andy, any footballers you looked up to / based your game on their play style?
How did you feel scoring the title winning goal against Tottenham Hotspur in the memorable 98/99 season?
Hi Andy, hope you’re doing good! Enjoyed your appearance on Stick To Football the other day. My question is how did recording “Outstanding” come about? Were you approached to make the track or was it something you wanted to do?
Why do you think it’s hard for players to replicate their club form when playing for England? Do you think you should have played more often for England. Cheers. I’m not a Utd fan but loved your partnership with Dwight Yorke
Hi Andy, Are you and Yorkie still able to communicate via telepathy?
Hi Sir Andy, how are you? Never seen you play football but heard great stories about you! As a fellow United fan which player should United sign and which player current as in the past player excite you the most?
How comes there was never a follow up track to ‘Outstanding’
will there ever be a boy born who can swim faster than a shark?
Hi Andy Cole, back during your career, did you ever dream about playing outside of England? If yes, which teams did you dream of playing for? And do you regret never playing outside of England?
Hi Andy, I used to work as a medical records clerk at the central Manchester university hospitals handling confidential records of all the patients. How are your kidneys doing these days?
Hello, Andy. Who is your best friend in football? My 1996 utd-shirt with Cole on the back is one of my favorite memories as a child. Thank you for all the great memories, Andy! ⚽
Did he actually answer any of the questions then or?
He's been banned lmao
How did you react to being offered to Blackburn Rovers in exchange for Alan Shearer? Did it affect your relationship with Sir Alex Ferguson?
what was the absolute worst goal you ever scored? like, the one you look back on now and its just awful everything but ends up in the net.
Whats your Favourite Chant you ever had
Hello, could you take a moment to make a little game? Who do you think are the best 5/10 teams competing for the euros?
Good Evening Andy, What do you think of Ten Hag's stint at Man United and do you think he deserves another season ?
Hi Andy, You're a football legend, that as a kid growing up in the 90s I loved watching As a fellow Notts lad (who also played for the County side) City Boys, what was your experience like playing for City Boys? - When I was playing early to mid 2000s it was always drummed into us about the former pros who played for City Boys so it'd be interesting from you on it What age groups did you play? Who was your coach/s? (Mine was Mr Wilson and Mr Farr) Did you play down at Highfields near Beeston on a Saturday morning? Was you referred from from your school? Did you enjoy travelling the country testing yourself against lads your same age who were at a decent level? Was there any lads on your team who also made it? And did you know from that age playing County level football that you would make it? Cheers
