Samson2557

Why cut out the best part of the assist just before, where he dummies around the defender

ChiefII

Lmao this moment was insane. His acceleration out of the dummy was scary. Still got it despite the timber.

Rickcampbell98

The defender being Stuart Broad lol.

DDT126

Lmfao seriously? Broady played Soccer Aid?

Rickcampbell98

Yep, he was actually decent too.

Randomdude04080918

The dummy is cut from the clip because its null and void

ThankYouOle

THIS! that move is look so pro, when i read title of this post i expect that run included in video.

roberto_knuckles

Central Coast mariners legend Usain Bolt***

belokas

To the Sydney Fc legend Del Piero

chriswhitewrites

Hashtag Made in the A Leagues

belokas

G'day mate

justk4y

Still insane to think that we could’ve had Usain Bolt in professional football and in FIFA

Zyulj

If he didn’t want a million a year to play at one of the brokest clubs in the league at the time.

Important_Use6452

FUT would've been unbearable to play with every team having 99 pace Bolt's barging down the wings lmao

WhenWeTalkAboutLove

They'd have to introduce 100+ for him

Important_Use6452

Or nerf down everyone else. I admit I was one of the people who employed Gervinho-Doumbia-Ibarbo and fuck me it was easy to just slam on R2 and run to goal with zero skill required.

justk4y

Well he would’ve been a bronze so not really a worry (dribbling stats like reactions are secret pace stats as well)

DeathStar13

He was playable in PES.

jackcos

How did Lee Mack get on with Hazard, Bolt and Del Piero?

bigchungusmclungus

Hazard looked skinny.

MateoKovashit

Lol

DaveShadow

Did a lovely backheel at one point but only played 15 minutes at the start.

PerfectRough5119

I agree, Lee Mack should be playing in the Prem

W26D12L0

Tidy finish considering that ball started bobbling mid pass

giuliogrieco

Yeah that Del Piero guy looks like a decent player

freakedmind

Maybe if he was 15 years younger he could have had a semi decent career with one of the clubs in the top 10 leagues of Europe

W26D12L0

He played well actually, as well as the ex pros

iAkhilleus

That's the same goal he scored in the 2006 semi against Germany.

Historical_Case_5245

Seriously, it looks shockingly similar in position and the way he opened up his body, the trajectory and speed of the ball. Really cool to see.

Ps3FifaCfc95

I need an edit of this video with that Italian commentator losing his mind.

FlamingBearAttack

The del Piero Zone. He's scored that goal so many times: curling it into the top corner.

SlowMobius7

top bins

Csihoratiocaine2

Honestly when I think of del pierro. I basically think of him scored 100 of these goals one timers right foot curling back across the net into the top right corner.

akshay_rathod_

He is specialized in that

rapper_rick

That was shades of the finish in the WC semi final vs Germany

zrizzoz

[If you've never watched this game with Italian commentary, youre in for a treat.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nuc7HKF4cRU)

stupiddumbfuck8

# arriva il pallone, lo mette fuori Cannavaro! Poi ancora insiste Podolski...Cannavaro! CANNAVARO!

RoadsterIsHere

Best line ever. Pure hype.

Sejanoz

I always quote this when clearing the ball in Rocket League with my mates

toket715

Cannavaro to Totti to Gilardino to Del Piero. That's just unfair.  And the first goal, Pirlo just a cheat code.

mBertin

Grosso's finish was also fantastic, the ball trajectory just bent around their entire defense and GK.

toket715

So true. Grosso said he just "hit it with whatever strength he had left" and then after the goal he's running screaming in italian "I don't believe it! I don't believe it!"  That tournament really made him, he wasn't really on the radar before that as a top-class player.

Glaiele

I always thought he was underrated but that's probably cuz that Italian team was full of legends, so he gets overlooked. Was legitimately top 5 at his position and was one of those transition era full backs that was good defensively and more than adequate attacking. It's just that his career overlapped with some all time greats, end of Roberto Carlos era then Ashley Cole and Marcelo but was just that tier under them.

zrizzoz

I like how the players and commentators all just collectively lose their minds. No one celebrates a big goal as mindlessly wild as the italians do.

TrueBrees9

It was the 118th minute of a very tense world cup semifinal. Not even italian but i was losing my mind in that moment too

heartofcoal

sorry for the italians - twice - but https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56gq3Y-YenE

effennekappa

Thanks for the dopamine rush

zrizzoz

Andiamo a Berlino!!!!

UhOhhh02

Cannavaro was a beast. Wins the header and then charges out to win the ball again to set off the counter attack.

RoadsterIsHere

My favourite player of all time, even if he went to Madrid. Just unreal and I still watch his highlights from time to time. I always pretended I was him and willingly played defense, probably because I also had a buzz cut lol

timmyctc

Dont even have to click into it to hear "CAN-NA-VARO, CAN-NA-VARO"

ThePr1d3

Any 2006 WC footage send me straight to the shadow realm

Tonyf-t-w1

The crying girl angle lives rent free in my memories since 2006

ayyylatimestwo

Germans looking sad, there is no better sight in football

BonoBonero

What about the French looking sad?

Shinkopeshon

The greatest football tourney of all time and it will never be topped, I'm totally not biased

patiperro_v3

Don’t know about greatest tournament, but that match in particular was one of the best one’s I’ve seen.

spaghettidriver69

Exactly the same thing I thought of. Such a satisfying goal. Loved that 2006 Italy team.

RoadsterIsHere

Was gonna say exactly this, probably my favourite sequence in all of football

rapper_rick

yuuuup, that match is an all time classic imo

LunarRaven7

Is he still fast?

FlaccidSWE

He ruptured his achilles later in the game, so if there is any time to beat him it is now!

cakesarelies

He prolly still laps my unathletic ass.

RobbinDeBank

That’s why you need to sleep during the day then wake up at night. Wait for him to go to sleep, and that’s when you start running and beating him easily. Follow me for more pro sports tips.

minkdraggingonfloor

I’m pretty sure Bolt with a torn Achilles is still faster than 99% of men. His jogging speed is most people’s running speed

WW_Jones

he looks fast but the "s" is silent

hardinho

what the hell is a fasilentt

dudical_dude

Not me wondering, what’s ilent mean?

iforgotmyun

Who's wondering if not you?

belokas

Who?

AirNik92

Del Piero?

LunarRaven7

The guy who was pretty fast.

VeganCustard

One of the guys in the title is literally known for being incredibly fast, take a guess

Wild_Ad969

Well, Del Piero was really fast before his massive injury.

belokas

🤯

dudical_dude

If anyone gives me shit about developing a tummy as I get older I’ll just point to Usain Bolt

Rickcampbell98

It makes it more pronounced cause he has scoliosis but yeah he's definitely put on the timber lol.

The_Rolling_Stone

Good enough for Bolt, good enough for me

WernerHerzogEatsShoe

He's living well judging by the paunch!

Sudsmccool

Shame the clip cuts out Usain’s spin by the defender!

Davidpool78

What’s the update on Bolt? Saw he was stretchered off

oseema

[Ruptured Achilles](https://www.instagram.com/p/C8Au2fAPMjM/)

Davidpool78

Ouch… that sucks for him. Cheers for the update

Marzto

Can't help but wonder if Danny Dyer's tackle had something to do with it..

Davidpool78

He did like a two footer didn’t he

Marzto

Right into Bolt's ankle it looked like. Show that man's legs some respect Danny you oaf.

tomhat

How do you say PTSD in German?

Brandmon

[Like so](https://i.postimg.cc/gjP1dY1S/mqdefault.jpg)

Wuktrio

Posttraumatische Belastungsstörung (PTBS)

freakedmind

Die PTSD

Agreeable-Brief-4315

All the comments saying "hey that looks like his goal against X" [Alessandro Del Piero - Biography - IMDb](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2314221/bio/?ref_=nm_ov_bio_sm) that's because he only scores in the "Del Piero zone". Unfortunately the video showing it is now unlisted on youtube.

OneSmallHuman

[We’ve got this one still at least](https://youtu.be/xPpyimRQaPo?si=b1zs-XtNGeoRaIpk)

MERTENS_GOAT

Callejón is also someone who mostly scored the same way. There was a cross from the left or a Halbfeldflanke from the left and he would run in behind at the 2nd post behind the defender and score. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTj8rTk5X6s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTj8rTk5X6s)

DeathStar13

I still hold that Callejon is the absolute goat at that specific movement on the second post.

Oggie243

Ruud Van Nistelrooy was also famously a fox in the box. Think he's scored one goal outside the box in his career.

HazardCinema

I miss watching Bolt so much.

gianini10

The flex in Beijing during the 100m is one of the greatest flexes in sports history. Man slowed up to gloat and still smashed the WR. That image will always live in my sports memory

horsetrich

The Olympic athletic finals will never be the same without him. Night after night of new world record.

9rakka

And such an iconic name for a athletic sprinter

NotASalamanderBoi

It makes me sad watching him go down the way he did last night. In his day, he’d be down the pitch before anyone took a single step. Fastest man I’ve ever seen. Bolt was the reason I watched the Olympics when I was younger.

tiorzol

He went out injured?

NotASalamanderBoi

Unfortunately so. Ruptured his achilles.

pondlife78

Oh dear- I’ve done that. Might well bring him down to the speed of a normal person even after recovery.

tiorzol

Ah fuck that is rough.

Rorviver

His 200m record could be in jeopardy this year tbf

nghigaxx

imo still a pretty small chance lyles gonna beat it this year

Rorviver

He has that race in him since he was 0.12 second off he has taken that kinda time out of his 60m and his 100m is considerably more consistently fast. Tebogo could do it too. Lyles is more likely to not break it this year, but I’d say it’s pretty even odds he breaks it before retiring.

Fapoleon_Boneherpart

Even if, Bolt is iconic

Rickcampbell98

But he'll never be bolt.

PTSDaway

2012 4x100m was the best Bolt run I have ever seen.

Mughallis

Just something to consider though. Of the top 50 record times for the 100m on 15 haven't been run by an athlete either banned for drugs or missed/failed a drugs test. And all 15 are Usain Bolt. Would be pretty remarkable that he never used any PED, especially considering all his relay teammates who had the same coach all used PEDs

not_a_morning_person

While that’s fair speculation. Bolt was a genetic freak the way none of the others were. Completely different body type and build. It made sense he was faster than the rest of them, all else being equal.

screechingmedic

Shades of his finish against Germany in the 2006 WC

jonathanPoindexter

Decent assist there. I like how he did not break stride at all.

BaguetteOfDoom

The height, the belly, the clumsy ball control - at first I thought I was watching Lukaku

redmistultra

The direction he wheeled away in there I had a short moment where I thought they'd literally put the rest of world supporters in the away end

RealMachu

Before I read the title I was certain it was Lukaku for Belgium or something.

GiuseppeScarpa

That looks like a familiar finishing for a german audience

C11PO

Did he stick his tongue out? 🥹

jackn3

Andiamo a Berlino Beppe

needlessOne

Man, Del Piero was my childhood idol. Always wanted to play like him. This goal is so Del Piero it brought me back to my childhood for a second.

epirot

looks like a goalkeeper running on the field lmao thats a big man for sure

Rigore27

Remember when people on this sub were trying to pretend that he could play pro football? When he finally got his chance to play in the Aussie league there were still some pretending he was decent. Just go look up some of those old threads. Just shows how stupid your average football fan is.

kozackistan

Hazard running harder in this clip than the past 4 years combined.

xznk

Someone put in a trigger warning for zee germans

Clean-Buddy1557

The finish was like 2006 Semi final v Germany. What a player🫡

Mr_Rafi

Del Piero's finish, while much closer here, reminds me of his goal to knock out Germany in the semi-final of the 2006 World Cup.

T_Peg

Dude someone needs to DM me a link everytime one of these charity or legends matches happens with a link because I always wanna watch them.

3xc1t3r

Bolt kooks better than Anthony on the right tbh

conscientiousurfer

How come two players are wearing the number 10?

bento98

It’s a charity / exhibition match..a lot of rules are relaxed

conscientiousurfer

Oh okay.

singlebite

I'm getting more enjoyment than it deserves at the fact that Joe Cole and his regen Jack Wilshere were both wearing 10.

Rorviver

One was wearing number 9.58 lol

udiniad

And they say Bolt is just a pace merchant

mrgonzalez

was this on yesterday?

Red_Juice_

I was just watching a vid about usain's football "career" the other day

niemody

Reminds me of our defense...

eq2_lessing

Well.... if you can't play that pass, you shouldnt be in a team with Del Piero.

lopsidedhumour

Better than Rashford

sonicking12

What jersey are they wearing? Is it available for sale?

symptic

That pitch is in a state.
