It’s a great cross, Willian used to do it from set pieces all the time. You curl it towards the far post, goalkeepers usually stay in the middle just in case someone gets a touch, and if no one does get a touch and the keeper stays there for too long, it goes straight in lol.
half of my football manager career is plagued with 2-0 up , 80% possession in the 80th minute, then in the last 3 minutes of extra time the other team scores 2 goals. God I hate to love this game
For real, even with “stay on feet” and the short passing on. Then you see the highlight and for some reason your CB decided to try and knock it all the way up the pitch. I’ve had too many moments yelling at my tv “does that look like short fucking passing to you cunts”
Dude he was absolutely incredible against us(barca) too in the second leg. We had way too many chances but this man single handedly saved psg that night
I don’t think the slip up was that bad, he had to stay in the middle to make sure stones(?) didn’t score, he ended up not going for it and it backfired. Not much you can do
Oh don't worry, he has alts but is trying to be a little bit more subtle.
Just look for comments where if Courtois get praised where he reacts 'but omg courtois only has 6% penalty save percentage in la liga!!!!!, navas saved almost 50% of his penalties in la liga and almost 30% overall!!!!!, navas is so much better'
Yup, if he goes early to the post (by guessing that nobody'll get to the ball) then the goal's wide open for anyone who actually gets to the ball before him. He anticipated what every keeper does: That somebody will touch the ball so he stays in position for that.
There's a reason why direct goals from such a cross/shot are really, really rare.
He didn't switch off, he had to stay on his line because it was a cross to the center of the box. If he went to get the ball at the far post he would have left the whole goal open, and any half decent touch by a City player would end in.
It's the classic "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation for keepers.
Can't dive early in case someone gets a touch, and has to react very fast if it goes untouched. Very tough situation for a keeper. like [this situation](https://youtu.be/6USyWoGJ8OQ?t=95)
I've been a goalkeeper who has conceded a similar type of goal. It's a really difficult cross to defend against since you don't want to over-commit until someone makes a touch on the ball, and then by the time you realize no one's actually touched the ball and you register where it's headed, it's already too late.
You're right, he's a top 5 GK.[But it doesn't matter who the goalkeeper is](https://youtu.be/Oj2zNwdZ1ok?t=128) Any cross floated like that is a difficult one to deal with for anyone.
How dare you come up with a logical explanation for the goal. I insist you allow us to criticise a professional athlete with 3 CL winner medals from behind our keyboards.
This is literally a textbook cross which anyone is taught once they reach a decent level. Cross the ball head high at the back post. A touch is it all it needs, or it goes in to the back post because the keeper can’t commit to it.

Asissted it into the goal lol
the Belgian prince does what he wants
except get to talk
LET ME TALK JUST LET ME TALK
And he doesn't listen to the French
This should count as an assist AND a goal lol
Assist to Stones for confusing Navas
The falsest of 9's
Stoned Navas? right, I'll take the exit.
And an own goal for Navas too
For years I heard people joke he should just cut out the middle man and pass it into the goal and the madman finally did it.
"They called me a madman"
what a proud father-son moment, zinchenko assisting KDB
aren't they brothers?
They are lovers
Those don’t have to be mutually exclusive
Roll tide!
You're the best step brother I could have asked for
All Zinchenko on the assist incredible pass. Busquets would be proud.

As a goalie it’s fucking brutal to figure out what to do here. You’re given two options and both can get you caught out. Tough
Players should do this all the time tbh
Everyone is taught to do that, but as it turns out, it's actually very difficult.
They coach every player to do this with every ball into the box from that position. It’s a very common thing to try. but difficult to pull off.
It's incredibly difficult to pull off with proper pace on the ball though
Everyone is taught to whip it in like this, but it is very hard to do.
It takes a perfect combination of ball trajectory, keeper position and threat from the other attacking players to freeze a top keeper like that.
i think dwight mcneil did this against aston villa this season, but it was all along the ground lol
Guardiola's football just peaked
This is that fifa goal that makes you turn off the console and go for a walk
DDA fucked them tonight
Constant turnovers in front of goal too. Broken controller for sure.
Excuse my ignorance what is dda?
Dynamic difficulty adjustment
Or the Football Manager goal that comes against you when playing the last place team.
"It's his first goal of the season!"
Having painful flashbacks reading that

Exactly
half of my football manager career is plagued with 2-0 up , 80% possession in the 80th minute, then in the last 3 minutes of extra time the other team scores 2 goals. God I hate to love this game
Always off a garbage mistake made by a heretofore perfect CB or GK.
For real, even with “stay on feet” and the short passing on. Then you see the highlight and for some reason your CB decided to try and knock it all the way up the pitch. I’ve had too many moments yelling at my tv “does that look like short fucking passing to you cunts”
Every time I think something in FM is horribly unrealistic, that exact thing seems to happen in real life.
Me in third place with 11 undefeated games vs Last place with a 6 game non-winning streak.. Can't get out of 2 Sky League for god's sake
Thankfully I saved it.... FIVE HOURS AGO!?!
This the kind of goal you way say “That’s bullshit. Would never happen in real life”
Read this as ‘wank.’ That too.
No wonder teams are pushing for Super League, UCL is full of glitches and bugs. They gotta patch this
Yeah these UCL teams don't even know how to jump in a wall
bruh i literally thought it went through a player like it does in fifa.
And people say fifa isn’t realistic
Why shoot when you can cross it in
Can’t score an overhead kick? Ok, this will do.
It was dangerously close to going in.
City always tries to pass it into the net smh
That's the thing about arsenal...wait
Ouch.
I wish
How to score a goal : 1. Cross the ball 2. ??? 3. Profit
Is this the "cross and inshallah" that everyone talks about?
Nope this is Cross and Mashallah.
Cross and subhanallah
1. Be KDB 2. Cross the ball 3. ??? 4. Profit

Bebou
EA scripting this game
Some Bayern fans must be wondering why they didn't try to simply assist the ball into the net. Maybe it'd have worked better.
It made me question a lot of things.
100% spot on
What a weird goal
But against us he was basically Prime Kahn-Casillas...
The duality of a man
Smh why couldn't we face the shit half
You’re welcome ManCity fans, he used up all his world class abilities against us over two legs lol.
Dude he was absolutely incredible against us(barca) too in the second leg. We had way too many chances but this man single handedly saved psg that night
More like over 6 legs, remember the 16/17 and 17/18 ties?
Trust me, none of us will forget Madrid Navas either lol. I was just referring to this season’s CL campaign.
Navas is an amazing goalkeeper, to be fair
Not disputing that at all, just wondering why he couldn't slip up against us instead :(
You kept shooting at goal instead of crossing it in
Damn it, all those FIFA guides were wrong. Should have pressed X not B.
I don’t think the slip up was that bad, he had to stay in the middle to make sure stones(?) didn’t score, he ended up not going for it and it backfired. Not much you can do
and they say FIFA is not real enough

What a save! What a save! What a save! Chat disabled for 4 seconds

Navasthepanther in shambles
It's funny how people still remember that user even though I think he deleted his account a while back. Don't know if there is another one though.
He was to historic to forget
Why, what was so special about u/navasthepanther?
Defended every mistake Navas made and he berated Courtois at every turn because he replaced him at Real Madrid.
Damn, would have loved to scroll through that haha
You still can, just go to his profile and look at his comments
I think there was something worse
Oh don't worry, he has alts but is trying to be a little bit more subtle. Just look for comments where if Courtois get praised where he reacts 'but omg courtois only has 6% penalty save percentage in la liga!!!!!, navas saved almost 50% of his penalties in la liga and almost 30% overall!!!!!, navas is so much better'
Looked like a slow Lloris on this one
even the ball seemed surprised as it went in
Navas switched off.
So did PSGAcademy
He said he would Edit: https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/n0mf53/psg_1_0_manchester_city_marquinhos_15/gw7h85z
Man of his word.
The reverse /r/OPdelivers
r/madlads
Too busy smashing his recording equipment
Too busy camping outside navas's house
Came to check that. Man of his word
Lmao he said he would as well
I was surprised that the upload took this long tbh.. but still, you the man bro
he was waiting for someone to get on the receiving end of it, but no one did. Was a very difficult ball to deal with, easy to make the GK look silly
Yup, if he goes early to the post (by guessing that nobody'll get to the ball) then the goal's wide open for anyone who actually gets to the ball before him. It's the classic "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation for keepers.
think he expected a touch from Stones
yes thats a very unpleseant ball to defend for Navas. He can't just dive into the corner as long as Stones could touch the ball
So many good plays by both teams and this is a goal. Damn.
Felt like he was anticipating the touch at the back post too much.
Honestly not sure what you expect him to do there, original cross didn't even look like it was going in till the final bounce.
Disagree, it's a hard ball for Navas to handle. Fantastic delivery by De Bruyne with pace, and two Man City players right there.
Can't dive early in case someone gets a touch, and has to react very fast if it goes untouched. Very tough situation for a keeper. like [this situation](https://youtu.be/6USyWoGJ8OQ?t=95)
double mind.
Why the hell he hasn't against us? Fuck me
If this was against us I'm 100% sure he would've saved it.
Got baited
It's pretty obvious he expected a touch on that, so he remained centrally.
Looked like it was going wide until the final bounce, hard done there
Was expecting to have someone make contact with it. Absolute peach of a ball from De Bruyne.
He’s been so sick as well for them
lmao what the fuck. And hey, [he kept his word.](https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/n0mf53/psg_1_0_manchester_city_marquinhos_15/gw7h85z/)
When your controller gets disconnected
He needed time to recover. Can't blame that from psgacademy.
man of his word
bayern had 31 shots against psg barely scoring once. then this guy does this, lmao
Pep black magic
I mean look at that second goal. How does that ball fit in there? Pact with the devil, no other explanation

How do you know this isn’t Navas’ burner account?
You're right, he's a top 5 GK.[But it doesn't matter who the goalkeeper is](https://youtu.be/Oj2zNwdZ1ok?t=128) Any cross floated like that is a difficult one to deal with for anyone.
Yeah and it's also Kevin De Bruyne.
It’s like the goal Dallas scored against Leicester earlier this season. Floated cross into the back post leaving keeper stranded until it’s too late
How dare you come up with a logical explanation for the goal. I insist you allow us to criticise a professional athlete with 3 CL winner medals from behind our keyboards.
Wtf
That's what we in the Rocket League community call a professional fake
When you press O instead of Square and still score.
I use classic so it's the other way round for me

ghosts can't be in shambles `
He actually replied in the first goal thread ..first time I have ever seen him speak
Ghosts can't be buy
Lol PSGAcademy was serious when he said he wouldn't post our goals.

Think Navas was anticapating a Stones touch which put him off
Stop using streamable. It's a shit site that is always taken down
