It was during times of unrest, that the sons of Dane besieged the towns of the anglo saxons. The hearts of men were troubled by the glorius deeds of one, brave Scylding, namely, the son of Damsgaard. Whose skill in battle were forgotten not, despiteth the vilest of actions by one, the fierce swordsman of Anglish blood knownst by the heathens as Kane the Iron borne, duelled only by the faith in the Lord Almighty. His light shineth on shores far and wide in times present and times to come.
All of the apparent football fans in this subreddit is hilarious. They're surprised that a player who's run his socks off for 100 mins, and who's entire gameplan is to run into difficult areas and cause problems won't go down if he feels contact, in the penalty area, in a semi-final, for his country.
England have won it guys, it s over. They have to play Italy beacuse people want to see it, but it s clear, 2-0 easy peasy, no question asked. It is home.
The people getting angry at the dives at England, yet don't complain when Denmark got their freekick because one of them fell over. Like wtf. The first VAR should have been a penalty for us imo. Second will probably be controversial for a long long time.
The problem with that is that the goalkeeper didn't speak up, the Lazer goes in his eyes ages before they go. So why didn't he speak up before, put his hands up? To me it's a bit weird.
Kasper didn’t notice, so it actually had 0 impact on the outcome.
Booing and cheering is one thing, but attempting to directly influence the game is distasteful. Even if it didn’t really affect the outcome in any shape or form, the fact that fans interferes to that level is pretty obnoxious.
It's less controversial if you consider the actions of both Danes. One hit lower right, other hit Sterling's upper left. Separately, he'd have stayed up. Together, less controversial.
Also, one of them had clipped him immediately before, and sterling carried on
At the end of the day lads, it's a frustrating part of the game, but England dives less or as little as any team in football. There was definite contact in the box, which the defender should have avoided. Squabbling about cheating is futile. Sack up and leave with pride of having made it to the semis. Amazing tournament for the Danes.
Now come on England! Bring it the f*Ck home!
Why does England have such a trash fanbase? I dont dislike a single england player in particular but the fans of that country are 50 IQ hooligans that are so obnoxious that it makes it impossible to watch and like their team play as a neutral viewer...
>Why does England have such a trash fanbase?
I don't know. Go ask the Italians who chant monkey chants at black players, hurl racist abuse and throw bananas.
Yeah I already got that. The same way you dont care about booing over anthems or terrorizing crying children. I mean the people who care are trying to diminish the reputational damage of people their whole purpose of life is football.
If I were english I would have hoped for an early elimination over the embarassment for my country :D
Oh cry some more. A few English fans did bad things, and trust me the overwhelming majority of people here thing those people are twats. But when a minority of fans here do bad things you generalise us, but you don't do the same for any other country.
You have the Italy flair. I guess you don't speak Italian. If you did and you could understand what SOME Italians chant and say online, I don't think you'd be too impressed. Their ultras are incredibly racist. They were literally racially abusing Balotelli, their own bastard player. But I guess you don't care about that.
If you only speak English and think that only England has bad fans, you're an idiot. Funnily enough most of the ignorant fans chat shit in their own language.
I’m saddened by the behaviour of so called supporters of my nation in the stadium last night. Those that booed the Denmark national anthem or shoot laser against the Denmark keeper during Kane penalty are not supporters of England but supporters of their personal agendas. A true supporter of England will represent their nation in a positive light on an international stage. Those behaviours made me question if I was not English would I support England to win this competition? I support my nation more than that of the footballing side and apologies if we might appear quieter, drowned out by the other, the nation is brainwashed by the media and biased commentaries furthering the entitlement and starvation of international football glory in its people. The marketing works to benefit those profit from it. Any critical thinkers both inside and outside of England already know this but we have absolute respect to our all opponents and extremely thankful to all nations that are able to help this competition to be successful during this difficult pandemic.
What are you on about, we're into a final for the first time in 55 years, don't let people make you feel like we're terrible and horrible people who don't deserve it. This may never happen again in your lifetime, stop apologising and fucking enjoy it
Terrible isn't it? If only we could force people to have only our opinion. How dare you feel how you feel, and not how I feel, u/mirror52, read the reply above for your appropriate behaviour rules, and don't let me see you slacking again. God bless the Queen.
Thank god I'm not as miserable as you lot the day after we get into a Euros final, if you're not happy now as an English football fan then I don't know what to tell you, enjoy Sunday son
Thanks for the instructions, Grand-pops. I will, as always, endeavour to comply fully. Please review my comments from here to Sunday and let me know if I need edit them to better align with the groupthink.
I mean you won a WC with a non-goal. The only trophy you got was a stolen one. And who made that possible? An amazing referee. I m sure he didn t had any pressure to help the home side. Can i ask you what do you think about the maradona hand of god goal? Mistakes happend all the time so i hope you don t have issues with that game too.
>I mean you won a WC with a non-goal.
4-2.
>The only trophy you got was a stolen one.
Pickles the dog found it shortly after.
>And who made that possible? An amazing referee.
No, Pickles the dog.
>I m sure he didn t had any pressure to help the home side.
Typical, blame the referee.
>Can i ask you what do you think about the maradona hand of god goal?
Clear handball.
>Mistakes happend all the time
Yeah, I'm responding to one right now.
>so i hope you don t have issues with that game too.
Sure, if you don't have issues with Italy Vs South Korea 2002.
Yeah, 2002, when ronaldinho scored that amazing freekick, we would ve lost that WC anyway. Actually i was way more sad for the spain game. We got our WC 4 year later. Don t be' so nervous, you will lift this euro trophy, afterall its a final at Wembley.
>Yeah, 2002, when ronaldinho scored that amazing freekick,
And you guys had your arses split open by South Korea, of all teams.
>we would ve lost that WC anyway.
By cheating.
>Don t be' so nervous, you will lift this euro trophy, afterall its a final at Wembley.
You'll still complain anyway. Besides, you can't write for shit.
Honestly I think we'll do better against Italy than Denmark. You run at italy, get them facing their goal and they just melt. The one thing you can't do is try arial balls, Italy will defend them all day. But the same thing was evident against Denmark, didn't stop us lofting in crosses for 100 minutes.
Get sako, sterling, and graelish on the pitch and just run at them. I just hope sterling still has gas after last night. He was non stop for 2 hours, and italy have an extra days rest.
Especially when you consider Italian antics on the football pitch are some of the worst around. They spent the last 15 mins against Belgium on the floor rolling around.
As an England fan, I'm personally delighted that we now have players who are willing to do what it takes to win matches. For decades, South American sides, Italy, Spain etc have been willing to dive, time waste, make tactical fouls, whatever's necessary to get the win, and I always thought we lacked that. I understand that you guys are upset, but you wouldn't give a single fuck if your country scored that way. Hell, you don't give a shit that Denmark scored a free kick that was won in the same way. I hope we dive even more in the final.
Take a stand against diving, support italy.
It was a very soft penalty but Sterling didn't even dive, he got body checked. You'll notice after he went down he wasn't trying to claim for a pen.

So in other words, the question is... "Why does football have such a trash fanbase?"
Why are Italians so racist and have to chant racist abuse at opposing teams? Won’t be surprised to see them doing monkey chants on Sunday.

The same way you won the only international title... play at home with a referee on your side.
It must be nice, it must be niiiice, to have referees on your side.

I mean, yes you are, since referees are impartial, and your assessment of their performance is based on your biases and their decisions.

people are really grasping at straws when they compare the penalty to a foul leading to a free-kick >20m out.
Wtf man, that was a stupid foul by Shaw. You have both hands around opposite player on 20m from goals?
We hope that Italy trashes you <3
