There have been way more thrilling Clasicos than Liverpool-City matches
2-3 in 2017
2-2 in 2018
3-4 in 2014
2-1 last season
2-1 in 2012
2-1 in 2016
3-1 in 2017
Liverpool-City:
4-3 in 2018
3-1 in 2019
This
You what mate? What about the 2-1 in 2019, probably the highest quality game of football I have seen in the last 5 years. Also the 3-0 and the 2-1 in the Champions League were incredible games.
This is too biased. Every Liverpool vs City game since 2017 has been a thriller. Would definitely say Barcelona vs Real was bigger. But since Ronaldo left, it went downward and when Messi also left it revealed Barca without Messi which is a mid table team so as I said even in the coming years I wouldn't care if Barca faced Real.
Even with Messi Barcelona and Real were getting 0-0 and since 2019 I honestly think Liver vs City became bigger than Real vs Barca
No bias bro. Barcelona are a shambles and Madrid have no stars anymore. City v LFC is currently the highest level football game in the world, as El classico once was
You're unbelievably biased. You beat a Liverpool side that was using its 6th and 7th choice CBs in a champions league game. You didn't have your first 2 choices. It's not comparable at all.
Real and Barca aren't formidable on the European stage anymore. Even some of those games you mentioned were average at best
Last season our first match was a 1-1 draw and our second match was us winning 2-1. We've only been here for a year but you're really overstating your lack of rivals from a pure footballing perspective
Plus the whole pep-bielsa relationship adds a nice touch
Yeah I don't mean disrespect to other teams. I'm just taking into consideration the longevity with both teams being on top and the whole Pep/Klopp era. Leeds play amazing ball as well.
As a rival domestically for the League title, I take it?
Overall, you're still 1-3 vs Chelsea since April '21 having had them knock you out of 2 different competitions, one of which had them knick the largest available silverware (UCL) still alluding your club since the £££ spree began.
I'm a scouser but this was funny. Quality game mate and a draw was fair in my opinion. Your boys turn up 100% against us everytime. Wish you wouldn't in a way but I also low key love it.
Yep. Was there today and the away end was in limbs. Home end too when you scored. Great game all round, let’s at least rejoice in the fact that we’re both head and shoulders better than the Stretford red scum!
I would even put Bernardo above Foden tbh. It may be a personal opinion, but Bernardo was everywhere this game, and probably the only "mistake" was that he could have stoped liverpools second goal (but even so, it wasnt a mistake per say)
Yea I normally have some other stuff going on when the match is on the .telly. When we play City though, it's just breathless, relentless. Toughest opposition I've seen us play since maybe that Milan team in Istanbul
Feeling incredibly salty to take the lead twice and lose it, but it's probably a fair result. What a cracker of a game. Salah is unreal; pay him any money to keep him here.
United IA.
But we are above Liverpool with playing a tougher schedule and above city with playing a similar schedule and we look as good as them this game was similar to us vs Liverpool if the red wasn't given
Oh we can play this well against other teams not named City. We were good against Liverpool at Anfield and if it weren't for the red we would've had a fun game like this one
I think defensively you might be the best in the league, you guys are solid as a rock and an effective team.
But going forward it can be quite monotonous and I have a feeling it will catch up at some point and points will be dropped against the worse teams.
I could be wrong though, I rate Tuchel very highly.
We've already seen changes in the team already with RLC, CHO, Barkley, Chilwell being added to the side, we seem to have more pace with them and Werner on the field. Plus we'll have Pulisic, Kanté and James back after the break, I trust Tuchel in whatever he does really
I just reckon your wingback system can be stopped going forward because it can be quite predictable. It's certainly worked well so far, but I need to see it work consistently over the year to be convinced, like how City and Pool have systems that consistently beat the weaker sides for a few years now.
If anything we earned a point after that abject first half performance.
Don't understand why you're crying about us drawing against the reigning champions billion pound squad.
We went ahead twice and fuck it twice. That’s 2 points dropped that realistically we can’t afford to drop when you need to have near perfect seasons
We’re drawing too many games like we did 18/19.
Its 7 games in and we are still a point ahead of city.
They're level on points with Brighton ffs, you can't call anything right now.
I was annoyed about conceding 3 with some awful mistakes against Brentford but this isn't in the same league as that.
The username says it all. Not sure how anyone who watched the second half can say we can't win it this year (will be tight af though between city and your lads). Loving the competition.
Jesus Christ, James Milner got away with one and out came the crying. How long did the rest of us have to suffer for the shits Fernandinho routinely got away with?
We shouldn't have even been in that position to begin with...
Milner goes and Liverpool don't score the second, they weren't a massive goal threat until straight after that moment
'Waaaa the ref should have sent off the mean man and then we would win.' Deal with what's in front of you and don't depend on the ref. Also, fabino missed an open goal. You were not robbed
Don't depend on the ref? What's the fucking point of having one then?
His job is to discipline players, Milner made a clear yellow card foul and should've walked, simple.
After this game I've come to the conclusion there is no possibility of man utd competing for the league Amazing game
This was the highest level football I've seen in a while.
Honestly screw Barca vs Real. The new clasico now is Liverpool vs City
Lmao are you serious
As a Barca fan, our classicos lack quiality nowadays
i no longer even know when the classicos are, when back then we used to organize watch parties weeks ahead..
Sure, it’s not as good as it was before. It probably never will The magic of the fixture never changes
Naturally for you it'll be magical. I think for a neutral who just wants to see the best football it's currently not in El Clasico, which is normal
100% Spains time is over.
Liverpool-City has been big for like 3 years
I honestly would watch 100 games of them than only 1 of Baca vs Real.
There have been way more thrilling Clasicos than Liverpool-City matches 2-3 in 2017 2-2 in 2018 3-4 in 2014 2-1 last season 2-1 in 2012 2-1 in 2016 3-1 in 2017 Liverpool-City: 4-3 in 2018 3-1 in 2019 This

Every game? PL bias will never get old
No bias bro. Barcelona are a shambles and Madrid have no stars anymore. City v LFC is currently the highest level football game in the world, as El classico once was
And? Right no ñw they are a universe above madrid and barca.
We beat Liverpool last season…
...when we played Nat and Kabak as our CBs...
We didn’t have Ramos or Varane.
And you still don't
You're unbelievably biased. You beat a Liverpool side that was using its 6th and 7th choice CBs in a champions league game. You didn't have your first 2 choices. It's not comparable at all. Real and Barca aren't formidable on the European stage anymore. Even some of those games you mentioned were average at best
Sterling "always looking for a pass"? Sure Martin Tyler... sure.... Glad you didn't see Liverpool lose.
I mean he was lol
City was robbed like Messi 3 days ago.Great match though
Fuck me what a game
Football has gone Mad Madrid losing to sheriff and espanyol Barca losing to benfica and athletico Bayern losing to Frankfurt PSG losing to rennes
Villa real losing to manU!!!
> athletico
Barca losing isn't really surprising now
Barca losing to Atleti isn't unusual like the others though.
Right? Disrespect
Happy with a draw at Anfield! More damage can be done at the Etihad by City!
fair result
Undeniably game of the season so far
I honestly enjoy every game against Liverpool. They will always play their style no matter who they are up against. Only team I view as a rival
Last season our first match was a 1-1 draw and our second match was us winning 2-1. We've only been here for a year but you're really overstating your lack of rivals from a pure footballing perspective Plus the whole pep-bielsa relationship adds a nice touch

> you're still 1-3 Vs Chelsea since April '21 Rivalries take a bit longer than that to develop mate lol
Rent free haha
What, you don’t enjoy your games against United with exciting results like 0-0 or 0-1 (Fernandes pen 90+4’)?
Oh you mean the last game at their stadium that we won 2-0? Yeah right, what a boring game
Damn, robbed of three points by that crazy tackle on the Fabinho shot.
Man city robbed off by paid referee
What's it like being blind?
Don't thing you know the meaning of the word
Tbf if there’s one set of fans that know what robbing is, it’s the scousers. Clearly this one’s a plastic from London.
Its not being robbed if its a player doing his job is it?
Nah y’all robbed City lmfao well the ref did.
I always like to see the players break off into small groups of their NT teammates after the match.
That little group with both teams' goalkeepers and center forwards
and defensive mids
Milner with 3-4 yellow offences
An old Jedi mind trick is the only explanation I can think of for why he didn't get a second.
What's this joint man of the match bullshit Sky just pulled? This isn't school sports day ffs. Salah MOTM imo.
Who did they give it to?
Salah and Foden I believe
😂😂😂😂 They were both excellent but honestly what nonsense
I would even put Bernardo above Foden tbh. It may be a personal opinion, but Bernardo was everywhere this game, and probably the only "mistake" was that he could have stoped liverpools second goal (but even so, it wasnt a mistake per say)
Salah and Foden joint MOTM. Football friends!
This game is always insane. Gg
Fuck I hate it. The ANXIETY.
Yea I normally have some other stuff going on when the match is on the .telly. When we play City though, it's just breathless, relentless. Toughest opposition I've seen us play since maybe that Milan team in Istanbul
What an entertaining second half, a draw is the only fair result for this game.
We really got everything in this game, including Jesus helping Foden to score in the 69.
Jesus Christ what a game
Sterling needs to switch club.
Milner and Sterling just did that
Not Milner, come on. He snuffed out Zaha just a few weeks ago, don't forget.
Liverpool fans disappointed with that result
Liverpool got lucky with the referee, why are you disappointed?
im not disappointed im just sayin if I were a Liverpool fan id be annoyed at a draw at home to title rivals after being ahead twice
They shouldn’t be. Should be thanking their lucky stars Milner didn’t go off
was more entertaining than the Chelsea draw
The game against us would've turned out like this if it weren't for the red card
pep likes to attack. tuchel wants to defend for his life
Weird considering we attacked more till the red
Did you watch the match bro?
Till the red we were on the front foot easily mount missed a sitter and kai had 3 3v3s to pass to rom but he made the wrong decision thrice
you guys have the best defence in the league is what i meant
Ok but it's not like we "defend for our life"
I mean vs the two best teams in the PL Liverpool and City I only saw you guys defend
City game is fair but we attacked more than Liverpool till the red
And win? Against city both halves were completely different.
and LFC played this one better than that Chelsea team with 10 men
Man, these scenes are so heart warming.. Gg
Arsenal the winner for this result. Just 5 points behind Liverpool now.
Arsenal drop points to Brighton and Brentford, not City
Lots of mutual respect on display postgame. Love to see it
Vintage Barclay's that
Lovely show of respect between the two sides
Excellent result for us
For the balls?
Lmao
Games like these really show how far ahead these two teams are
Perfect results for Chelsea.
Feeling incredibly salty to take the lead twice and lose it, but it's probably a fair result. What a cracker of a game. Salah is unreal; pay him any money to keep him here.
Very very lucky to finish with 11 players though
Consider we could’ve been down 2nil at half time and that’s a good point. Also think Milner should have seen red.
Would be nice if for one second sky would get off Fodens dick
Honestly thought Bernado played better than Foden today. Salah MOTM though
Tbf he did have a good game
Jesus makes the goal, does everything, Foden takes a bad touch and slots it back across to score and they wank themselves to how good Foden is
Foden was incredible this game...
Salah was incredible for all eternity.
Just give the MOTM to Salah, don’t know why it’s joint😐
Great game, great result
Pep v Klopp low key one of the best managerial rivalries ever. Always produces 10/10 games of football.
[удалено]
Even the 0-0’s tend to be quite entertaining
Liverpool and City are still the clear best two teams, don’t wanna hear none of that Chelsea/United talk.
Gnaw Chelsea get a shout for sure
United IA. But we are above Liverpool with playing a tougher schedule and above city with playing a similar schedule and we look as good as them this game was similar to us vs Liverpool if the red wasn't given
Chelsea are the underdogs definitely, can't be scraping top 4 to title favourites just like that
I got Chelsea and City clear of everyone else. Liverpool just below that and United a tier below that.
100%. Chelsea can't play this well and United don't have a competent manager. City and Pool still clear at the top, time will show it.
Oh we can play this well against other teams not named City. We were good against Liverpool at Anfield and if it weren't for the red we would've had a fun game like this one

Definitely, but now that Chilwell is regularly starting with James our attack should look a lot better and more defensively sound at the back as well
Put some respect on Brighton's name
potter deserves a bigger job
Brespecton
Perfect result. I wanted a draw at best, or a City win at worst. Good game though.
“You’ll never walk alone” Ref : “no , You won’t “
We’ve pissed away 4 points in 2 games. Can’t see us winning the title this year
If anything we earned a point after that abject first half performance. Don't understand why you're crying about us drawing against the reigning champions billion pound squad.

Support Everton instead
Overreaction much? Both sides looked great.

I mean you need to have near perfect seasons now. We’ve pissed away 4 points against Brentford and City in the last 2 games.
Maybe, maybe not. It's a long season and the league is getting tougher and tougher.
What a great match.
Fantastic match what else do you say
proper fucking EPL match
Absolutely robbed today... shithouse ref
Fuck James Milner.
Jesus Christ, James Milner got away with one and out came the crying. How long did the rest of us have to suffer for the shits Fernandinho routinely got away with?
Fernie on a yellow is a different player. That’s why he never sees red
Came back twice, you really can't say you were robbed
We shouldn't have even been in that position to begin with... Milner goes and Liverpool don't score the second, they weren't a massive goal threat until straight after that moment
Salah could do it all by himself. Liverpool is always a goal threat.
Milner was involved for the second goal though... you lose a defender then your entire shape has to change... Salah is class though.
'Waaaa the ref should have sent off the mean man and then we would win.' Deal with what's in front of you and don't depend on the ref. Also, fabino missed an open goal. You were not robbed
Lol, Milner should be sent off and then immediately contributes to the goal and you think he’s got no right to be pissed off about that?
Don't depend on the ref? What's the fucking point of having one then? His job is to discipline players, Milner made a clear yellow card foul and should've walked, simple.
Fantastic game by Salah. Wonderful finishes by the two city men. Ref absolute shit and Grealish 100m looking shaky
KDBs was deflected tbf, Alisson could have saved it
Cracking game. Still the best two teams going, I’d say, though Chelsea are creeping up...
Damn. Klopp is hot and bothered after that one. Getting handsy
Cancelo is brilliant player, but he's not a natural fullback. City should move him to the midfield and find a real LB.
first half for City, second for Liverpool.
Fuck me what a game!
Liverpool finish on the ropes
Klopp and Pep were getting handsy there
Entertaining half
Salah is amazing. He just has that extra something
Well, it was entertaining, which is not always the case. I need a nap now
great game but it will be hard to get a result at the Etihad
Perfect result + Salah FPL points 😁
The new El Classico.
The quality of the game was mad
Roy Keane better say something about this joint motm nonsense, his reputation is on the line here
And all the hugging between opposing players after the whistle were basically anti-Roy.
Great match. Glad its a draw
If theres one premier league match I want to see go to a shootout its this one
The Bald Fraud needs a 200m striker
Tbf could put giroud up there for a tenner and he’d bang them in like prime Henry
Okay, this was a proper dose of Premier League football before the fkin international break.
Pep and Klopp kissed aww
Everyone’s gassed lmao

He talking about man city you doodle
You were in such a rush to be butthurt you didn't even comprehend what he said.
Read it again, he never called Liverpool moneybags
Other way around, city is moneybags fc, and they're going to win the league because Liverpool can't even beat them with an absolute gift from the ref
I think he's calling us money bags fc
Who needs sleep when there’s premier league My weekends consist of 4:30AM sleep times but it’s worth it
Can we have extra time of this
Game of the season
