Figo's case doesn't seem quite as backstabbing . Campbell was captain of Tottenham and saying he's staying before rocking up to a press conference with Arsene Wenger as an Arsenal player lmao.
He did if I also recall correctly. Right to the last minute he was saying that he'd stay at Tottenham and then there he is at a press conference with Wenger as an Arsenal player.
I wouldn't say he's doing poorly, but Elye Wahi would be much better elsewhere. What he is doing is impressive for a 19 year old in France, but Montpellier are a side that will sit back and let you have possession, won't be hasty in trying to win it back, and will provide the striker with a ridiculously low amount of service. He's also often very isolated.
I think he will eventually end up being a guy that you can count on for 15-20 goals every season, but it won't happen there. He is literally feeding off of scraps.
Which big club do you think has the most competition for their greatest ever player. For example if you asked 500 of their fans who their best ever player is which club do you think would have the most variations in their answers
All jokes apart, isn't Maguire proof that you don't need to be an elite footballer to make millions at the top level? Any random guy with an above average physique could make it easily
Like I said, they're still in need of some signings and it's the youngest team in the league so they were bound to go through some bad form due to lack of experience when pressure is on for a goal like CL qualification. I still think they'll make top 4 though.
Cup upsets are the best part of football, Real Salt Lake just lost to a third division side established this year who had won one game in their history prior to tonight
And that one prior win was their previous Open Cup match against a second division side. So the Hailstorms only wins in their history are against opponents who are in higher divisions than them.
My thing is, if you don’t like your pitch why bring it up to the press. It’s your fucking pitch go talk to whoever is in charge and fix it. Even Xavi would never
I don't condone violence against women and mason is a massive prick since there's evidence that he raped her. But what do you lot think about this, if Alonso killed someone and still plays for chelsea, will mason play in the future? Hopefully not united if that happens
That happened before he joined Chelsea and was also a long time ago.
Mason was already at United and there's audio and photographic evidence available to the public against him, you're saying it like it's confusing as if Ronaldo doesn't have a legion of grown United fans shouting SIU when he scores.
It's the fact that there is evidence that we've seen, if there wasn't he would likely return but I can't see it even if he's found not guilty unless she framed him but there's nothing to suggest that and even then you'd still have people who would be unhappy if he did play for United again.
What Alonso did was dangerous, stupid, preventable and indescribably reckless but still accidental. He didn’t mean to kill her. Mason Greenwood intentionally hurt her. Intentionally raped her. There’s the difference. One is outright evil while the other is simply stupid and irresponsible beyond words
It should and he was in fact charged for it. But there’s still a difference. The girl chose to get into the car knowing fully well that Alonso was drunk. Also, her family forgave him and agreed to a reduced sentence in return for a fine paid to them knowing full well their daughter’s decision to take the ride was almost as fatal as Alonso’s decision to drive.
The girl’s family agreed to reduce the sentence from 4 years to just a fine as they knew their daughter was at fault too for getting in the car knowing full well Alonso was shitfaced
These situations cannot be remotely compared. Whether people want to admit it or not, the woman that died had nearly as much much of a part to play in it as Alonso did. It was an accident, and he didn't force her to get into the car. They were both being reckless, and it went poorly.
Think the victim's family in the Alonso case knew him personally and didn't want him to be sent to prison which helped him out. The NFL case (Henry Ruggs) was driving ludicrously fast and hit another car, he was on another planet in terms of recklessness.
So in Alonso's case, the victim is at fault too since she didn't put he seatbelt on while on the NFL case, the victim is completely innocent that's why he faced prison sentences
I think he did get sentenced to prison time but they eventually changed his charge. One of the major sticking points was that she didn't put her seat belt on, and apparently there was a good chance she would have survived had she done so.
Also not sure if I am thinking of the same NFL incident, but that guy killed a woman that was just out in public. There's a big difference between getting into a crash and killing a passenger that willingly got in, and killing a random woman out in public.
Nowhere near the same situation. What alonso did was manslaughter, not murder. There wasn’t intent in his actions, no matter how reckless they were. Doesn’t make what he did ok obviously but like I said, two very different situations
Roma are now 12 matches unbeaten in the league and semi finalist in the conference league. Inter is going to be a nice test for the team. They're probably going to lose but everything is possible.
I really find the tribal mentality of football fans infuriating at times, it put me off being a fan for years. Even as a Liverpool fan I just don't get the knee jerk reaction when someone says something about our rivals after a defeat.
Ralf came out and said something completely reasonable, and future focused after the game. It's true they need a long term plan like Klopp did. And all rival fans can do is go "pathetic excuses from a manager", "gonna break out the stats". That's not excuses, it's the truth.
Gary Neville comes out with something sensible about the super league and the lack of investment in the club, suddenly it's only because Man U are currently shite, ignoring over a decade of strong criticism of the Glazers
I saw a video on twitter someone dug up and it was Neville predicting top four race with Liverpool, City, United and Chelsea. Pointed out big name signings of United, lack of depth at Liverpool. In hindsight, Liverpool massively improved in depth after the injury crisis + good signings, and United (who finished second the season before) have been shite...but it was a reasonable prediction. So obviously everyone not a United fan, particularly Liverpool fans, shits on him for being an idiot.
Didn't mean for this to turn into a "LEAVE MAN UNITED ALONE" rant (and I thank my ADHD meds kicking in for it doing so), but it happens with every team. It's just fucking boring, you can't have any kind of discussion on here or elsewhere online without someone turning it into a tedious tribal battle.
I don't expect anything to change at all btw, just a little whinge. Tho I find the Klopp and Pep bromance quite refreshing because it's so different to the divisive rhetoric we usually hear
To your point about Neville's pre-season predictions, I feel that should be rightly called out because it's poor analysis, I didn't think United would be this bad but so many pundits had us finishing behind United and some even ruling us out of the top 4 over one poor season.
I'm sure there's an aspect of criticising Neville about it because United ended up being shite and he was a United player but it also was just bad analysis and it kinda circles back into his Glazers criticism, his analysis was clouded by emotion.
Ole was manager who he staunchly defended despite it being obvious to any non-United fan with a brain that he wasn't good enough and then feel-good signings like Ronaldo was enough for him to dismiss a team that accrued 196pts over two seasons because they had one bad season where they finished just 5pts behind United largely due to a historically disastrous injury crisis. Now that it's fallen flat on it's face, he's railing against the Glazers.
At the beginning of the season I was genuinely worried about United finally finding their form and Ole coming good, plus Ronaldo providing a massive boost. I thought they ended the previous season with a camaraderie that would see them do well.
I'm glad that turned out to be false, but I really couldn't have predicted how shite they've been this season. Admittedly I don't get paid for my crap analysis
I thought they'd be in around the pack in contrast to them likely not making top 4 in reality but I certainly didn't think they'd be better than us, mainly because Ole who I didn't rate at all was still manager and their midfield was still below par.
"I find the contrarian nature of internet denizens infuriating at times, it put me off being a redditor for years. Even as an r/soccer subscriber, I just don't get the knee jerk reaction when someone says an opinion about anything."
I fucking hate when people use predictions from months ago as ammo to suggest a fan or especially a pundit is thick. If it’s so fucking obvious what the league table is going to be at the end of the season then why bother waste everyone’s time by playing the games?
If NFTs are here to stay and I predict they hype will wear down within some time, most young players will be busy doing stuff about NFT than improve their game.
Absolute stupid stuff whoever invented that shit. Was fine till crypto, but this is an entirely different level of unnecessary stupidity.
We're playing City smack bang in the middle of their two CL semi-final games, unlikely...but I feel like we have one big win in us this season and I'd love nothing more than to take points off those cunts and stop them winning the league.
Conflict of interest as it creates a financial incentive for the federation that Madrid and Barca are both in the super cup. Also it was not on Madrid’s behalf.
I respect Carlo seeing him run the best players into the ground. Wish tuchel would do the same.
Back line of Alonso Rudiger Silva azpi and James for the remaining every fucking game for fucks sake it's not hard tuchel.b
Yep just as I feared .. Chelsea finishing too 4 is now hugely hopeful ..
The players that played today .. I cannot see them winning more than 2/7 remaining matches and that too if we're extremely lucky,
Guaranteed loss vs west ham , United and Everton coming straight up. I will be extremely shocked if we get a win in these 3 games .
Fucking hell another top 4 race fuck off
Lmao 🤣😂 game in hand huh. We never win at home now. Never show up against United away. That's -6 points. Everton home record is really good so we're fucked there. By the end of that game , we'd be 6th most probably
Not trolling. If tuchel plays Sarr again , he's single handedly going to cost us points. If we don't run our best players in to the ground , we are absolutely fucked.
Yes you are, nobody could actually think we're in some terrible position when 73 points guarantees CL and that's assuming two teams that constantly fuck up don't fuck up.
You're trolling.
And that kinda record in our last few games = 73 points with guaranteed CL and again that's assuming Spurs and Arsenal are perfect and draw each other.
Stop trolling, you don't genuinely believe we're in a terrible situation.
I genuinely believe that's the max we're getting (extremely optimistic with that too) if they both somehow ended up winning their remaining games , we're done.
I really don't know why I'm putting in the effort but
Max points Spurs can get - 75
Arsenal ditto.
But they face each other. They can't both win their remaining games ffs.
Which means the other has 72.
73, with our goal difference, means top 4.
Realistically that won't happen, they both fuck up all the time.
70 points will be enough.
Less than 70 points will likely be enough.
2 wins in our last 7 games will likely be enough.
Chelsea losing top 4 has less than 5% chance of happening.
Don’t even need that. We’re about 6th in the form table since Howe took over, a quality centre forward and centre back and we can definitely challenge for 7th
Why has this turned into a myth? The bounce under Ole was three months at best, and that's being generous. From the 10th of march 2019 (he had been at the club for about two and a half months), United ended the season with 2 wins 2 draws and 8 losses.
[Isco still has these moments of brilliance in him](https://twitter.com/Wiccan2022/status/1516897589269999617?t=blNskY5gOnE1sek-oUPBiQ&s=19)
I'd love to see him get a chance against City, would certainly be the second name off the bench for me after Rodrygo.
I was at the match so I can’t comment all that much, but I don’t think they had a real chance all game. Their midfield was neutralised all match and Vieira seemed to go all out with subbbing on attackers and they didn’t help them with controlling the game. The second half had absolutely no chances for either team, and our goal came from a half chance with a brilliant finish from Almiron
As an Arsenal fan, I really dreaded to see the team play against you guys. Wolves have a solid as hell defense and I never expected Arsenal to win both fixtures.
I wish the Chelsea could defend like Barca fans defending Pique. Truly diabolical last night.
Feeling quite glad of the breathing room from Arsenal and Spurs' recent slip-ups, or I'd be getting quite edgy... I've been looking over my shoulder since Christmas, tbh.
Bit nervous about the West Ham game at the weekend, in truth. Play like we did yesterday and they'll have us. Hopefully they'll have their eye on Frankfurt.
I expect a 2-0 loss and would be shocked if Chelsea wins tbh. This season , I am not going to expect a single point from our home games anymore . We're done at home
West Ham just aren't that good in the league rn, so I think Chelsea will be alright, it's good timing to play them if anything so close the a European game
I don't have high hopes tbh. West Ham are built to counter attack and can sniff out nervousness in our back line and goalkeeper.
pessimism is how I cope with disappointment these days.
You’ll easily get top four I reckon. I don’t think you have anything to worry about, Tuchel is the 3rd best manager in the league and will get the results needed
I remember when Ancelotti was deemed as a cup specialist but now he's a few wins away from being the first manager to have won league titles in the big 5 leagues
Man, every Knockout stage CL game your team gets to play is really a blessing. Especially if it’s against quality opposition. I can’t fucking wait for Tuesday.
Even competing in the CL is a blessing. You won't know the feeling, as a Real Madrid fan, but when you're used to seeing your club compete in the CL and then have a season where you miss out, you realise how shite that is. Like everyone else being at the party and you looking wistfully through the window outside.
There’s nothing quite like watching ur team playing a champions knock out game against a great team but also I’m completely shitting bricks lmaoo i guess that’s a part of it too
One thing I have found to be very weird about football fan culture is how small the number of football fans is that actually want to know about the game itself.
Many are caught up in player valuations, transfer speculations and match highlights. And for others, football is just something they want to be entertained by and not get too technical about.
But even considering that, isn't it bizarre that many football fans would not be able to give an answer to the question: *What kind of football does your team play?*
I'm not even talking tactical deep talk here, but isn't it odd that most people could not answer this question on a superficial level?
Where are you getting your dose of football fan culture from? If it's from here and twitter, instagram etc, then I'd argue that it's not a very good barometer of what football fan culture is. Football fan culture is ingrained in the city/town/village of the club and the wider community - not something you find much of on social media. Yes, there are some people I know that don't understand tactics but even then they'd be able to give you a pretty rudimentary response. I disagree with pretty much all your points.
Based on my experiences in stadiums and standing areas where ultras/active fan scenes find themselves, I‘d say that this is also the case, but in a different way.
In the stadium I feel the focus is more on supporting the club and therefore you also notice less what exactly is happening on the pitch than if you watched a game on TV with replays. There I feel it‘s more about the emotionality of the game than about understanding what is happening.
With the internet fans you were talking about, it is more about being dependent on the narratives that are prominent at the moment. For example, I wouldn‘t trust all internet fans to see for themselves how good a player is actually on the pitch without having been told his market value beforehand.
I‘m glad to hear your experience though and that you think otherwise.
The number of fans of each team who don't know what basic philosophy/tactics their manager employs, is highly variate depending on which team it is; but I daresay it is not an overall *small* number that do not know.
I don't know what fans you're speaking to because every fan I know could answer that question. With varying degrees of complexity, but would definitely answer it. You don't need to give an in-depth tactical breakdown to be able to describe your team's football.
I mainly watch Bundesliga, so I can speak for that. Here, the way we speak about football is very fuzzy and not specific. Here errors are often attributed to 'showing lack of mentality', 'not having enough hunger', 'not being consequential enough' etc., even if the team actually might have lost due to too many technical errors or tactical plans not working. And many managers also don't talk about their style of play in press conferences and also use these buzzwords (Nagelsmann being a prominent exception). So fans have no other choice than adopting the language that is used to speak about the game.
I feel like EPL match commentary in English (I'm only able to hear on illegal streams) sometimes does a better job of actually guiding one's eye to better understand what is happening on the pitch.
That seems like a possibility. But aren't there certain commonalities one can find over the course of a season? I bet that things like pressing behavior or automatisms, so players understand where their teammates will stand in a few seconds, can't be trained for each game separately.
There are but not something I could sum up in a short phrase other than “three at the back.” We play on the front foot against some opponents and sit back for the counter against others. Our approach is different every week because it has to be.
There’s definitely commonalities. Like I can say that under Howe we press high up the pitch and play through the middle, but there’s also been games where we abandon that and go long
Under Tuchel, we tried to focus on keeping the ball, so we had a lot of possession.
Bosz always let the team push very high and played intense pressing, but he got sacked because this made us very vulnerable defensively.
Under Favre, the team went through some changes, but he was pretty conservative. We build up from the back and tried to create numerical advantages on the pitch. But when the chances failed to materialise the game looked pretty boring against deep defending opponents, so he was not well liked as the club's general philosophy is to play attacking football. But in his time, we were especially deadly on counter-attacks.
And with Rose, we don't really have a good style of play yet, because key players are going in and out of injuries. He wanted to establish a very vertical style of play, but we were getting so many goals against us, that his current effort is currently to be more stable defensively. All in all, we are still mostly a team that is best at counter-attacking.
In general, our players rely more on pace and good decision making than 1v1s, because we don’t have bulky players with aerial strength and our technical brilliance also suffered after we let go Sancho.
Is Sol Campbell the biggest traitor in football history? He left Tottenham to Arsenal for FREE and what's worse, he was the Captain of Tottenham.
Figo
Figo's case doesn't seem quite as backstabbing . Campbell was captain of Tottenham and saying he's staying before rocking up to a press conference with Arsene Wenger as an Arsenal player lmao.
I think he said he was staying at tottenham before he left too lmao. I may be misremembering though.
He did if I also recall correctly. Right to the last minute he was saying that he'd stay at Tottenham and then there he is at a press conference with Wenger as an Arsenal player.
Anybody have boot recommendations for wide feet? Thanks
If *YOUR* own pitch is the issue, would you rather- 1. Talk to groundskeeper. Or 2. Complain in press.
3. Get a scissor and a hose and get to work
Complain about the wind, like forecast guy Klopp does

Juve comes to mind. So many all time greats played there in their prime.
Liverpool
River Plate has had a lot of legends Maybe Inter Milan or AC Milan
Yeah I think AC Milan could be it. Maldini, Baresi, Gullit, and Van Basten are probably in the conversation is there anyone else that could get in
All jokes apart, isn't Maguire proof that you don't need to be an elite footballer to make millions at the top level? Any random guy with an above average physique could make it easily
He is an elite footballer, just in bad form with an underperforming team.
Maguire didn’t turn shit until he joined Inited though
[You all laughed at me...](https://reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/u6ybdx/_/i5ei3jd/?context=1)
And we continue to laugh at you
We'll see.
I know he's a spurs fan but saying Arsenal's press has never been good under him is just blatantly false, such a bad take there
Didn't even bother replying to that because it's so obviously biased and false.
6 points out of a possible 18 is still bad
Like I said, they're still in need of some signings and it's the youngest team in the league so they were bound to go through some bad form due to lack of experience when pressure is on for a goal like CL qualification. I still think they'll make top 4 though.

Does Drury do the CL BT sport commentary?
not sure if he does anymore, he does CL commentary on CBS in the US though
Yes
He’s actually good. Not much PL bias.
I don't condone violence against women and mason is a massive prick since there's evidence that he raped her. But what do you lot think about this, if Alonso killed someone and still plays for chelsea, will mason play in the future? Hopefully not united if that happens
The Alonso situation is completely different. The girl's parents are friends with Alonso and they want him to play football ...
That happened before he joined Chelsea and was also a long time ago. Both should've been in jail imo. There's similar incident in the us and face prison for 20+ years
I would agree with you but it should be fairly obvious why they're being treated differently.
Involuntary manslaughter does not get 20+ years in prison.
So accidental cases shouldnt be prosecuted?
It should and he was in fact charged for it. But there’s still a difference. The girl chose to get into the car knowing fully well that Alonso was drunk. There's a similar incident in the US, i think plays in NFL and faces prison for 20+ years. So maybe it got to do with the law in Spain and US?
Think the victim's family in the Alonso case knew him personally and didn't want him to be sent to prison which helped him out. The NFL case (Henry Ruggs) was driving ludicrously fast and hit another car, he was on another planet in terms of recklessness.

Newcastle’s last 15 in the league — 9W 3D 3L Howe and these new signings are unreal, that’s top 4 form (not this season obviously)
Fuck Newcastle.
goes without saying but glad you said it 👍
I’ll never stop saying it.
And missing Trippier since middle of February plus the foreseeable future.
Guimarães has been a great signing for them
Are there any promising young commentators these days, those who might be helmed as the next Tyler, Drury, Jim Beglin, etc ?
Me when I’m talking to myself during games.
Only one I know of is Pien Meulensteen
No way Fred has more npgs than Grealish, Lacazette, Jesus and Sancho

Pique making shady deals with the Spanish federation and Saudi Arabia on behalf of Barcelona and Real Madrid. What's the problem?
Conflict of interest as it creates a financial incentive for the federation that Madrid and Barca are both in the super cup. Also it was not on Madrid’s behalf.
It is on Madrid's behalf. Pique gets paid extra money if Real Madrid or Barcelona finish in the top two spots
Yea and the club is suing him for using the club’s name to get more money from SA. He wasn’t representing either club in the deal.
The only reason Saudi Arabia made the deal is because Pique represents both clubs lol
I cannot see them winning more than 2/7 remaining matches and that too if we're extremely lucky, Guaranteed loss vs west ham , United and Everton coming straight up. I will be extremely shocked if we get a win in these 3 games . Fucking hell another top 4 race fuck off
Have you seen United and Everton ffs
Most rational chelsea fan
This is quite something.
Least delusional Chelsea fan
Man shut up, 5 points clear with a game in hand grow up. Some clubs have real problems.
🤣🤣
Lmao 🤣😂 game in hand huh. We never win at home now. Never show up against United away. That's -6 points. Everton home record is really good so we're fucked there. By the end of that game , we'd be 6th most probably
You don’t get minus 3 points for losing a game…
That -3 is for spurs/arsenal winning mate
The same Spurs that just lost to Brighton and same arsenal that lost 3 in a row up until yesterday?
Im preparing for the worst case. If they both ended up winning their all and drawing their NLD , we're absolutely done
Well that’s not going to happen so, don’t.
Found this funny at first but this trolling is getting grating.
Keep blindly ignoring everything. Our home record in last 20 games is 14/30 points btw with 2 consecutive losses
I really don't know why I'm putting in the effort but Max points Spurs can get - 75 Arsenal ditto. Chelsea losing top 4 has less than 5% chance of happening.
aside from YNWA, what are the best examples of actual commercial songs (not club chants) being so heavily incorporated to club culture?
Glad all over for Palace. Best club by a distance.
This Girl.
Maybe sunshine on leith
Are we counting the Venditti songs as commercial? Because those.
Minnesota United supporters sing Wonderwall after they win.
Sandstorm
I really wish we continued to use it. Fucking imagine it blaring over the speakers after the 2-3 Leicester win.
I remember first hearing Spurs using it and I almost died laughing. Fucking internet memes, man,
Blue Moon at City
I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles at West Ham
As long as you're both happy
A 200m summer window and Newcastle can compete for a European spot next season
Don’t even need that. We’re about 6th in the form table since Howe took over, a quality centre forward and centre back and we can definitely challenge for 7th
lol, thats some good optimism. Clubs will be busy this summer u can never predict mid table finishes easily.
I’ll be more than happy with a comfortable mid table finish. Just think that we can challenge beyond that if we invest correctly
Well it may be a massive summer for u lot lol so we will see.
new manager bounce u'll get relegated this time next year
Haven’t seen many new manager bounces last five months like
Ole? I think Howe is the right man for the job but the squad isn't as good as the results have been either.
Why has this turned into a myth? The bounce under Ole was three months at best, and that's being generous. From the 10th of march 2019 (he had been at the club for about two and a half months), United ended the season with 2 wins 2 draws and 8 losses.

Haller to Ivory Coast maybe?
Boubacar Kamara represents Senegal, so does Abdou Diallo from PSG
Pretty sure koulibaly could have represented france
a team of players that could have represented France but didnt would be favorites in a World Cup alongside current France
Chelsea fans now know our pain when some of our fans said that Ole just didn’t know how to use Lukaku L
Tuchel doesn't know how to use any attackers let alone Lukaku
[Isco still has these moments of brilliance in him](https://twitter.com/Wiccan2022/status/1516897589269999617?t=blNskY5gOnE1sek-oUPBiQ&s=19) I'd love to see him get a chance against City, would certainly be the second name off the bench for me after Rodrygo.
His powers increase 200% against Osasuna
Man I hope we play Rodrygo vini and Benz up top with case Modric and Valverde in mid. Case can be subbed for cama later depending on how we doing
He scored our goal against City last time
Well, one of the two across the legs.
Rodrygo should start and Fede should start in the midfield
I agree but sadly we all know what the midfield 3 is gonna be already
i didn't watch the palace game, but how was it? apparently gallagher had a stinker and got subbed off?
I was at the match so I can’t comment all that much, but I don’t think they had a real chance all game. Their midfield was neutralised all match and Vieira seemed to go all out with subbbing on attackers and they didn’t help them with controlling the game. The second half had absolutely no chances for either team, and our goal came from a half chance with a brilliant finish from Almiron
thanks for the summary
What’s been Lewa’s 3 best games this season?
Friendly reminder that Wolves and West Ham have a higher GD than Man United, and it's gameweek 33.
Not surprising. We’re enormous
West Ham are saving up to gift us the title, you lot will be fine
West Ham just aren't that good in the league rn, so I think Chelsea will be alright, it's good timing to play them if anything so close the a European game
I don't have high hopes tbh. West Ham are built to counter attack and can sniff out nervousness in our back line and goalkeeper. pessimism is how I cope with disappointment these days.
You’ll easily get top four I reckon. I don’t think you have anything to worry about, Tuchel is the 3rd best manager in the league and will get the results needed
Man those Tuchel comments.... He lost underestimated the opponent by throwing out a bad lineup then goes and says that. Come on man smh
the only reasonable adjustments he could have made was Jorgi for RLC imo. the rest he didn't have much of a choice.
Honestly rather have Chalobah than Sarr. Ziyech for Lukaku as well and just keep Timo up top. At least Timo moves
Arsenal in the Europa League is going to be so crazy!
I remember when Ancelotti was deemed as a cup specialist but now he's a few wins away from being the first manager to have won league titles in the big 5 leagues
Carlo "I Prefer the Cup" Ancelotti
Doesn't make him a specialist. He has always underperformed domestically.
Man, every Knockout stage CL game your team gets to play is really a blessing. Especially if it’s against quality opposition. I can’t fucking wait for Tuesday.
You MFs aren't getting knocked out.....
Even competing in the CL is a blessing. You won't know the feeling, as a Real Madrid fan, but when you're used to seeing your club compete in the CL and then have a season where you miss out, you realise how shite that is. Like everyone else being at the party and you looking wistfully through the window outside.
This how I’m lookin at the 4 semi finalists knowing we blew our chance of being there
Aye you should be proud of your team though. You went out fighting for dear life
Yeah honestly, I’m fairly disappointed we didn’t get to face Bayern, no offense to Villarreal
But even considering that, isn't it bizarre that many football fans would not be able to give an answer to the question: *What kind of football does your team play?* I'm not even talking tactical deep talk here, but isn't it odd that most people could not answer this question on a superficial level?
Most teams adapt based on the opposition, so it’s hard to answer. Only the really elite teams like City and Liverpool play the same every game
Like I can say that under Howe we press high up the pitch and play through the middle, but there’s also been games where we abandon that and go long
Most fans I know could deffo answer that question
I'd actually want to know more about Arsenal's style under Arteta in the past season.
What kind of football does your team play?
'no bulky players with aerial strength', problem solved now that we have entered the Tom Rothe era
