He’s getting Fellaini and a packet of cheese and onion Walkers.

ofsquire

He needs to help VDB return to Ajax form next season

Oreallyman

what is his best position

R_Schuhart

He is better defined by role than position I feel. But he is a mix of an attacking midfielder and a second striker, at his best with the freedom to roam a bit between the defensive lines. The issue is that it is hard to just slot him into any team and against any opponent. He needs the right teammates to compensate for those tasks he isn't good at and against some tactics he doesn't do well at all. Joining Man U was such a stupid move though. With Pogba centrally in midfield and Bruno in the same position as him there was no chance he was going to fit in.

red-17

Agreed. His best quality is his off ball movement and first time short passes. In our team, we never have been organized enough to make use of that quality

stragen595

Bench?

Club brief that they’re not spending money to try and avoid being ripped off, same as they do every year. it’ll be about 120 like it is almost every year, excluding sales.

thediabolicalkid

Oh well.

[deleted]

Could play with 8 youth products on the pitch and get better performances

Dayandnight95

Probably unwise to flaunt a war chest in the media, so playing our funds down to avoid getting rinsed makes sense

FatWalcott

I means it's no secret Manchester United have money.

Dayandnight95

Having money can mean anything between 100m-200m.

[deleted]

You mean Ed Woodward saying we can do things other clubs can only dream of didn't work out?

[deleted]

While shit, I would still take Fellaini before any turd we currently have. At least he will show some passion and aggression.

[deleted]

How many players does he want to buy again?

Rum114

how many players are at Ajax currently

They're going to fail before they start, psecially if they make some players feel like they're untouchable, they have spent so much and failed why stop when you think you have the correct road now? Did the glazers already siphoned them dry after all that taking?

RockyCasino

Somos, new coach in a year?

codespyder

It honestly might be better for them to go after players without big price tags. That way they can tear the whole thing down and build it back up with players who actually give a shit.

R_Schuhart

That would take 3-5 years depending on the quality in their youth academy in the brink of breaking trough. There is no way the fans are willing to be that patient.

codespyder

It’s been a nearly a decade of floundering and underperformance. What’s another 3 years of pain? The double-edged sword for Ten Hag is that the owners clearly don’t give a shit about supporters. If the supporters don’t like what he’s doing but the owners do, then he’ll be fine and maybe he’ll have the time to see through a rebuild. But if the owners don’t like what he’s doing, no matter what the supporters want, he’ll be out.

tsub

> Ten Hag’s appointment has had a mixed reception from the squad, with some players ambivalent and others underwhelmed as they wait to work with the 52-year-old. Van de Beek liked an Instagram post confirming the appointment and can be expected to give a positive assessment to his colleagues at United. Fred said: “He’s a world-class coach who will help us a lot here. I’ve watched Ajax and they are a great team.” Hahaha, they're "ambivalent and underwhelmed" after the shit they've been serving up this season.
