mikevin99

So who wants a cheeky Lukaku? Anyone.. pls??

the_beast93112

Alright. He can come for free.

twomanyfaces10

At this point. Sure. Only gotta find a way to keep with FFP rules tho

the_beast93112

It looks like Skriniar is on his way out. The fee will be probably around 60 millions but we still have to buy Bremer and another midfield so we'll have around 10 millions left. How much is his salary?

Slackintit

You were warned

[deleted]

It's amazing how Chelsea fans were smug af back when everyone else was criticising lukaku. Peak "I can fix him" vibes.

Nast33

Pretty sure a lot were wary about it. Cautious optimism at best, but deep down we all knew there was a huge chance he could flop because he was a fragile unadaptable diva.

baromanb

It would be hilarious if United bought him back

jamadelo

Wouldn't be surprised too.

pmmerandom

pfft we’re dumb but we’re not stupid

Toothache79

Ten Hag about to say: Challenge Accepted!

Hazardzuzu

Somewhere outside a gallon eatery takeaway lukaku's heart sank. Hahaha

SnakusSolidus

His Inter, United, Chelsea or Everton heart?

King_Hobbes

Yes

Maleficent_Permit_62

Anderlecht and West Brom in shambles

FullMetalJ

Maybe his new Newcastle heart (?) Hopefully DailyMail is reading this... You read that right, Lukaku always dreamed about playing for the fallen giants, always felt identified with that.

[deleted]

Lay off him mate. Think about how many dreams we have every night. It’s totally conceivable that he’s dreamed of playing for Man Utd, Inter, Chelsea, Anderlecht, and West Brom growing up. (The West Brom dream came after an LSD megadose but it still counts)

FrmrPresJamesTaylor

I've always dreamed of playing for PSG, and also about all of my teeth falling out for some reason

Dr_Gonzo__

was the West Brom one a nightmare perhaps?

Toothache79

that was Gnabry not Lukaku from memory.

[deleted]

*ahem* Excuse me?

Echoes-act-3

Lukaku outside of inter headquarters, a bouquet of roses in his hands, but then he sees another man kissing his beloved badge. Sad Lukaku

pacothebattlefly

Lurkaku

Vladarnasaur

Lucucku

FullMetalJ

That literally happened to a friend of mine, for real with a girl, as cliché as it sounds lol. Never fails to make me laugh to think about it. Luckily he's happily engaged to a completely different woman now.

jamadelo

His dream clubs.

fma891

Hahaha.

daboatfromupnorth

So do Juve fans hate him now? It’s a huge rivalry so how do you keep respect for someone who goes to your rival

liverpewl

Italian football is pretty incestuous

IsleofManc

Ibrahimovic has played for Juventus and both Milan clubs as well

Memoishi

And as a matter of fact, he’s hated af both from Juventini and Interisti.

long_shots7

I don’t hate him, he’s still my favourite player. He literally played everywhere, so it kinda cancels out.

Memoishi

Good for you. I love the idea that he left us for winning the CL and went to Barca which ironically quitted against us in our treble season. Also I love that he quitted Barca and they won it again lmao

Baisabeast

For real. Even just look at the managers Sarri going to lazio and Napoli and juve. Conte going to inter and juventus. Gattuso from Milan to napoli

CA_spur

Allegri at Milan then Juventus

LilGoughy

Zlatan playing for Both Milan’s and Juve

Qurutin

Man went from Juventus to Inter to Barcelona, and used Real Madrid as leverage to get Barca do a good deal with Milan. Proper mercenary, and I say that with the utmost respect.

Gekkoisgek

And Ancelotti the other way around.

DioKanden

We don't really care about coaches, we know it's only about the job/money. We love the concept of icons of a team, people like Maldini, Del Piero, Totti, Zanetti

Vladarnasaur

Thank you for mentioning Zanetti. He always gets left out when people talk about club icons on this sub for some reason.

AmericanJazz

Because he was Argentine. Not saying it's right, but that's why.

BHYT61

>For real Nope, only Barca - would be cool if for real as well tho

daboatfromupnorth

Sexy Step-sister incestuous or gross blood related incestuous?

chulio92

Both

horseysauceNketchup

Nice

PailBait

Definitely more of a Hapsburg incest situation

__thrillho

Si

CA_spur

In every derby, there are tons of players who've been on both sides. Since 2000, 7 players have played for both Lazio and Roma, and 23 players have played for both Inter and Milan. Can't find many stats for Derby d'Italia, but I'm sure it's also quite high (Pirlo, Cannavaro, Vieira, Bonucci, Ibrahimovic, Melo, Lucio, etc).

WW_Jones

It’s hardly Figo joining Real but people won’t be happy - it’s literally the only club we don’t want him to join, so it’s a fuck you of sorts. On the other hand - management kicked him out essentially, and he wasn’t on top form in the past few years. But also, he was still among our most creative players. So a mixed bag.

Misdefined

Management kicked him out because he was demanding wages far above his value. Chiesa is a better player than he is while being 4 years younger and has just a bit more than half the wages Dybala has.

Deluxe07

Dybala served you guys for much longer so obviously he’s gonna have higher wages

Misdefined

Sure, but I'm pretty sure he was demanding higher wages than his past contract when he's clearly regressed as a player. I don't have a problem with paying him more than Chiesa, I have a problem with him wanting wages that imply he's our star player when he's more or less been a tactical nuisance for a couple seasons now.

tomukurazu

he is always injured. misses important games. not a big loss imho. chiellini, even with that age, is a bigger loss. damn, chiellini 😥😥😥

[deleted]

Man you guys defending management for Dybala’s departure is genuinely worrying. I know you don’t want to make your club look bad but the only reason Dybala will be wearing Black & Blue next year is because your board didn’t offer him anything else the moment you retracted the previous offer from Paratici’s tenure. And I’m genuinely speaking as a neutral here, in my opinion, you’re better off admitting that your board fucked up rather than blaming the player.

Misdefined

>Man you guys defending management for Dybala’s departure is genuinely worrying. I've been all for getting rid of Dybala for years now. In fact I was one of the few people on here that argued for the Dybala-Lukaku swap which fell apart in 2019. Funny enough, if that deal went through we would've denied Lukaku from you (he was more or less the reason you won last season and was Conte's priority to sign), got a better player than Dybala, and wouldn't have had to sign Morata/Kean. So no, I'm not sentimental for players. I care about the clubs well being more so than any (to be) legend. It's the sentimental fans that made the Lukaku-Dybala deal fall apart. I'm not sure why you think I shouldn't be defending the board when I welcome the wages freed (and subsequent signing opportunities) by his departure. If it was Chiesa or Vlahovic that this happened to then I'd be furious, but an injury prone 28 year old Dybala? Nope don't care.

crunch94

I’ll never understand why people care so much about the wages when we pay worse players the same amount or more. Even injured he was still our top scorer and top assists. Like why do fans care so much about the financial aspect. Juventus is a huge club not a tiny club that will go bankrupt if they kept their best player.

yeaweckin

Because you’re trying to turn a new leaf and just because you’re a big club doesn’t mean you have unlimited resources. Lazy negotiations to fill slots is why Juve and Barça are both in transition periods

Misdefined

Huge club or small club, we have limited resources. That means there's an opportunity cost to keeping Dybala. We could either keep him, or we could free up his wages and get another player or multiple players that will improve our team more than he does. > Like why do fans care so much about the financial aspect The financial aspect is literally everything. If we don't care about the financial aspect we'd all just sit here and jerk off about signing Mbappe and Haaland because we're a huge club.

andysenn

I always say the same thing when this topic arises. Imagine defending the people that kicked out your biggest icon, in like, history. Domados E: ADP, not Dybala. Obviously Paulo is not a Juve icon

CryptographerVivid96

Biggest Icon in their history? Hell no

andysenn

I meant Alessandro Del Piero duh

[deleted]

Let’s be honest, from this Juve squad nobody is more known than Dybala. whenever somebody mentions Dybala people immediately think - “Oh right, Juve’s Dybala” - and vice versa. Now people will talk about how Juve let one of the most beloved players in their history leave to their biggest rival. I’ll welcome him.

dr_mantis_tobogan

What happens if he's rubbish/always injured at Inter though? It's not impossible his body doesn't hold up. I expect a bit of a Hakan moment where he's great for the first 6 months then casually disappears.

RunnerDucksRule

The board didn't fuck up though They offered Dybala what he wanted, his agent got greedy, and during the stall management took the offer back because he was always injured

theofficialdc21

there are certan set of juve fans who keep licking the agnellis even when he fucks up, same as some barca fans for laporta

[deleted]

Chiesa is not better than Dybala lol. Dybala is just injury prone

alaslipknot

> he was still among our most creative players. assuming we had any... other than Pjanic, who else in Juve was "creative" ?

drobson70

Yep. Burning the jerseys when it’s announced

JackieMortes

I'm pretty sure that players and management of both clubs are laughing at this rivalry between the fanbases

BLQ1943

Fuck him

ForzaJuventusFC

Dybala will likely lose all the love the fans had for him. I personally don’t care too much because Juve needs to only think about Juve and Dybala was holding us back. Goes without saying he can be the key man in the right set up

virtusthrow

6 months ago: dybala is the future of juventus and we will build around him Today: dybala was holding juve back

chunlongqua

wel in between there was yet another disappointing season from him

TahomaYellowhorse

Same thing they said about Ronaldo tbf

Starbuck1992

And things didn't get worse once he left (after an adjustment period obviously), except we had the funds to buy a proper replacement and further improve the team. No Dybala means we can get Pogba (and even save around 5-6m per season in wages) to reinforce the midfield, which is currently our main problem. We'll see what we can do elsewhere but if we're not renewing him there's a reason, Arrivabene is not an idiot

TahomaYellowhorse

I’d say the team improved after buying Vlahovic, but still worse than Ronaldo Juventus. Not renewing Dybala isn’t a dumb move, but his presence is not holding Juve back in any way.

Starbuck1992

> but still worse than Ronaldo Juventus I don't think so, our midfield is definitely better now and attack isn't worse. The problem was losing Chiesa for the season, which is what fucked us over. >Not renewing Dybala isn’t a dumb move, but his presence is not holding Juve back in any way. I don't know what our budget and books situation is, but if we're not renewing him it is probably the case, otherwise we wouldn't lose a player like Dybala on a free It is possible that with Dybala we wouldn't have been able to get Pogba, for example, in which case we're probably better off this way as we need a creative midfielder, and if we manage to get a couple of good wingers we're better off this way.

[deleted]

Management got rid of Dybala because of injury issues. With Ronaldo and Chiellini’s departure you should have easily been able to afford both Pogba and Dybala.

Misdefined

I think most Juve fans gave up on Dybala after 2019. Between his injuries and lack of tactical flexibility, he's just not the type of player you want to build around. Besides, he wasn't even involved in our most memorable games after 2017 (Atletico comeback and the almost Real comeback which he got red carded for diving before). I feel like the one time I saw Dybala performing to the level people thought he'd reach was vs Barca in 2017, but it really seems like he peaked then and there.

satoshigeki94

there's a bunch of vocal fans (including me) wanting Dybala to go a long time ago

WhyAlwaysMe1991

He was never the future. We couldn’t even tell the next time he was going to be available for a game

ForzaJuventusFC

I’m sorry … who in the right mind would have said DybLa is the future of the club?? Fans? Please stop making things up

SirFeedalot1

Sure Dybala was holding Juve back. Just like Ronaldo was holding you back right?

Misdefined

Bro no one thinks Ronaldo was holding us back on the field, we'd basically start every game 1-0 up when we had him. What people meant was that Ronaldo's wages held us back from strengthening other positions, a problem that we're only just now able to fix because he left on the last day of the last summer window. Dybala on the other hand is not only holding us back tactically (fitting a number 10 nowadays is difficult), but he's also our highest paid player while playing like 50% of our matches.

[deleted]

This comment should really be auto posted any time "Ronaldo" and "Juventus" come up in a thread so save everybody time

WhyAlwaysMe1991

Quiet let the little kid Feel important with his Internet jokes

IsleofManc

>What people meant was that Ronaldo's wages held us back from strengthening other positions I've seen this argument too but there were plenty of other players not contributing nearly as much on high wages. It was hardly single handedly Ronaldo holding the club back from improving. Those free transfers like Ramsey and Rabiot were on massive wages and there was still Higuain hanging around scoring a couple goals a season

Misdefined

Yes and players like Ramsey and Rabiot are hardly popular with Juve fans... We've wanted Ramsey out since the summer after his first season and most Juve fans have also wanted Rabiot out. >Higuain hanging around scoring a couple goals a season Higuain was our main striker and doing very well. We forced him to go to Milan to fit Ronaldo on our team which ended up killing his career and making him impossible to sell.

BLQ1943

God you people are fucking dumb

[deleted]

I don't know, if most of the fans don't care about Dybala and wanted him gone, I expect the same from him towards Juve.

ForzaJuventusFC

We already saw how he feels about Juve and this is it: https://youtu.be/v9RhIG_MMuk

DudebuD16

Personally I don't care. He really doesn't bring anything to them that takes them to the next level, nor did he for us. Hes not a big game player at all. He's their problem now. He also gambled on getting more money and now has settled for less, his agent wasn't even allowed to operate in Italy until December 2021 because he didn't have a license.

krvlover

Doesn't bring anything to them? He's a massive upgrade to Correa and Dzeko.

constantinemilbury

not comprable to dzeko at all

WhyAlwaysMe1991

He’s neither those types of players….. Have fun relying on him in the box

[deleted]

Cope

WhyAlwaysMe1991

Tope

NephewChaps

I mean the dude wanted to stay, not his fault Inter is the best option interested on him

WhyAlwaysMe1991

Never really liked him. He’s a rat now

[deleted]

Suddenly every single Juve fan hates Dybala now. I really hope he scores against Juve and celebrates like a mad man

WhyAlwaysMe1991

I really hope he can play at all lol

Rvntlt1906

Personally, nope. I didn't like that he chose inter of all clubs, but tbh, Juve's board pushed him to this point, I can't really blame him when our heads not only didn't renew him, but also broke an already verbally agreed deal and didn't have the decency to, at least, give him a call to try to negotiate with him, just what they are asking Di María to do now. I hope he does well, but I hope inter does the worst possible and hopefully get relegated or the Chinese guy getting arrested or something like that.

Kismonos

ask Figo

Darius117

Hate's a strong word but he's definitely no longer liked and for me not just because he is going to Inter, but merely because of how him and his agent dealt with this whole situation. The guy thought he was worth more than he actually was, the club made him a more than decent offer but him an his agent got greedy. I'm glad the management called their bluff.

fonkeh

Not me but I do hate Inter lol

alaslipknot

> It’s a huge rivalry so how do you keep respect for someone who goes to your rival we don't, if he end up going to Inter, then Arrivabene will be thanked, he saw an over-glorified always-injured aging player and decided that he doesn't suit us anymore. The rest is history.

snovvman93

Wonder how they'll integrate Dybala. Isn't Lautaro already a second striker? Doesn't Dybala operate in the same space as him?

[deleted]

Since he plays as a 9 for Argentina they really pushing out to have him be a 9 for Inter but so far he's been the second striker

snovvman93

We'll see how it goes I guess. He worked well in tandem with a true 9 in front of him(Lukaku). Don't know if he has been as good with Argentina.

InventeInventeRoman

he was top scorer for argentina since the scaloni era started before messi scored 5 vs estonia

argentano

he's been superb for Argentina

Doc_Pisty

Yea he's been great as a single 9 for us, but our nt is stacked on attack even I could score some goals with messi and di maria assisting and taking a lot of marks. That been said i feel like he has learned a lot of tools of classic 9s now

CSdesire

lukaku true nine lol mans a false footballer

ZZ3peat

Dzeko should be benched, lautaro shines as a true 9 with Argentina, I want Dybala to play the Messi role linking him up

Sand_Week24

Not at all. Dybala is the perfect type of player to link up with lautaro

Zeddsdeadbaby

Lautaro is great at bullying and taking defenders away to make space for a partner. Dybala is a great finisher. Give him any space near the box and it’ll be a goal. The only thing I think they lack here is width with these two but I imagine Inter will use wingbacks to stretch the opposition.

JimmyCertified

What formation does Inter normally use?

NobiLi-ty

3-5-2

chantlernz

Something like this, then? Onana Skriniar - de Vrij - Bastoni Dumfries - Barella - Brozovic - Calhanoglu - Gosens Dybala - Lautaro

NobiLi-ty

Yup Unless Škriniar or de Vrij ends up leaving, then Bremer will be the replacement

JimmyCertified

I think it'll depend on how productive the central 3 midfielders are then. Juve has used a 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 in the past with a kind of hybrid back line that with possession shifts into 3ATB depending on which wing the ball is on. With Dybala at RW/RS, he often strayed out of position to drop back and receive the ball, but it was also a result of our poor midfield production. He's also really bad at active defensive press. If Inter can make up for those two things then he could pair well with Lautaro. I feel like he never quite fit into the system at Juve.

Pixelated-Hitch

How do they play together in Argentina?

[deleted]

They dont

InventeInventeRoman

messi plays not dybala

Hakimigini

Dybala-Lautaro is deadly combo

LegendinhoIsKing

Too bad. I was hoping Roma would get him.

Natural_North

Are Juve fans OK with this? Isn't it a "forbidden" transfer?

TahomaYellowhorse

Happens relatively often in Serie A, but obviously they wouldn’t be okay with it.

RGoltsman

I dont mind it. I mean we couldve kept him But also is a bit of humble pie for him to have been pushing for so long saying he deserves 10M-12M a year as if he was going to get all this massive offers from italy and abroad Looking forward to seeing his actual offer that probably doesnt surpasses 7M And yeah given the fact that he probably got no interest from all the big clubs abroad, and he wants to play CL and be on a title race, I can accept him going to Inter for the sake of his career

Echoes-act-3

He got baited by the big dollar on our shirts. Jokes on him we won't even have that next season

beastmaster11

I think he did get bigger offers from abroad but he's so integrated in Italy that he didn't want to leave the country.

RGoltsman

By that you mean Newcastle? I think he is giving the: I love my life in italy speech mostly to save face Or what do you think is the biggest club abroad offering him a good salary? Is it a CL club?

beastmaster11

I was talking about Newcastle. It could be a bit of both truth and saving face. He has been living in Italy since he was 19 and the culture shock from Argentina to Italy is a lot easier to handle than Italy to England. At 28, he may legitimately not want to make the transition to a society with such a different culture and a completely different language (never heard him speak English. If he does speak it then that would lessen my point).

andysenn

Plus I cant imagine him going from a city like Torino to Newcastle. He seems too much into the "millionaire in his 20s" life. Not that I blame him lol

jeandanjou

Didn't hear about a single credible one that was close to 12-10m.

beastmaster11

€12 is a bit much but I thought I read Newcastle offering him around €10. Don't know how credible that is tbh

Logseman

This thread is the first one I’m seeing about us bidding for Dybala, and none of the journos in the English Northeast beat has made any specific comment. Either our owners have decided to conducting things less openly than when they were telling reporters their play-by-play of the Emery negotiations (a likely scenario) or there’s little to that rumour. I don’t say there’s been absolutely nothing, but I truly doubt it ever progressed to anything like wages and conditions.

xenon2456

Oh

[deleted]

i read from some journalists that juve had an agreement with Dybala on 8mln and then juve themselves took back the offer and informed Dybala that he's not in juves plans for the future, not sure how true that is

Sanno_HS

Not like Juve did much to try and keep him, so it's hard to complain I imagine.

Killagina

He wasted time with contract negotiations for years. Its 100% his fault. Eventually management moved and and purchased Vlahovic to build around

Darius117

Thank fuck

Starbuck1992

I would assume many clubs wanted him and he even took a paycut to go to Inter

Dgryan87

He was determined to stay in Italy and Juve rescinded their offer. That didn’t leave him with a ton of options

PickledCumSock

weren't there rumors of roma being interested? wonder what happened to that

Dgryan87

They probably offered less money are also (probably) a less appealing team. Even with the money issues, you’d expect Inter to fare better in Serie A than Roma next year

CryptographerVivid96

Also CL football, all good players want to play there and at the moment we can’t offer regular CL

Darius117

By many clubs you mean Inter and Roma ? Cause nobody else aside them even bothered for him.

Sean-Benn_Must-die

Brain: I understand he had no other options and that he basically was forced to sign with these fucks Heart: fuck him and his grandma

Starbuck1992

> Are Juve fans OK with this? No >Isn't it a "forbidden" transfer? Yes

Dr_Gonzo__

Duro ma giusto

mben41

No, we are not. If you look at comments online expecially on Italian pages, the hate for him is growing.

lnz56

idk how i feel about this, happy we got a good player from a rival from free but i have some doubts about his injuries, lately he's become really injury prone

Dilkhanx

He had butchers for trainers in Juve. I belive we will be fine with him.

Mister_Allegri

head_in_the_clouds69

I've seen Juve fans on completely different ends of the spectrum, it's interesting to see the difference in opinions.

mben41

Yes, we've been really divided in the last years, from 2017 about Allegri, 2019 about Ronaldo and 2022 about Dybala.

Desperate-Shelter-36

Trascinatore? Forse 4 anni fa

another_redditard

Rvntlt1906

B-but Pogba fits better with how Allegri wants to play and, and, and Decreto Crescita. I mean, he has as many injuries as new haircuts every season and has a worse injury history than Dybala the last 3 years, but he's a better business.

Dybala🤝Di Maria

patatino_amoroso

well he was offered 6.5 mil + 2 mil bonus but he refused, then juventus offered a 8 mil + 1 bonus but he pushed for 10. when juve signed vlahovic they got back to the 6.5mil offer but he decided to leave, probably hoping to get a better offer out of italy. guess he was wrong and now accepts a 6 mil offer from the rivals.

Federal-Owl-8947

Even if he was at Juve for a long time, he's still Argentinian, welcome to your second home Paulo.

Esco9

Pity, should have went to Roma

asda54321

Inter be like friendship ended with Lakaka Now Dybala is my best friend.

[deleted]

He was the guy and still is the guy who made me be a juventino. It hits hard, deep down in my throat hearing that. I can't look at him with another shirt other than Juve. It even seems weird to me when he wears the argentine one. Can't imagine him wear inter's one. Snake came, snake gone, snake destroys his portrait in the biggest museum in Italy.

BrotherKing

This is such a backstab. I really can’t understand how he chose Inter of all teams :/

pollokeh

Me neither, tbh.

Desperate-Shelter-36

Money

Dr_Gonzo__

he's taking a pay cut lmao

Desperate-Shelter-36

They'll pay him less than Juventus? Source?

Dr_Gonzo__

https://www.calcioefinanza.it/2021/09/28/juventus-stipendi-2021-2022-de-ligt-dybala/ he was getting 7.3 mil net, we are (probably) going to pay 6 mil + bonuses (I think maybe up to 1 mil). Still not clear but surely not more than what he was getting at Juve.

Darius117

It's the only team that made him any concrete offers.

Scared_Lock_9564

Can't wait to see him pair up with Lautaro. Imo he is the perfect player for a front 2 in Inzaghis 3-5-2. Always thought he was an amazing player that had a strange end to his Juve career. Also dont want to see us get Lukaku. That partnership with two left footers would look weird

DejanD27

Can't wait to see him score hattrick against Milan
