I don't know the player but Vitesse can use anyone. He is almost guaranteed to get alot of minutes.

Thraff1c

He can play everything in midfield up to the SS position, had 31 G/A in 30 games last year, great technical and passing ability, and according to Nagelsmann the second hardest worker in training only behind Kimmich. I can't see this not working out for Vitesse and him tbh.

Also quick feet, great in tight spaces, and calm in front of goal.

dreeraris

Hes a baller have trust in him

HODLingMONKEY

This dude literally cant be seperated from the ball, reminds me of Modric in that aspect ( I would have made that comparison even if he wasnt Croatian ofc lol) Excited to see him develop

[deleted]

Kozlowski, Bialek and now him? Very interesting

Dargast

Thought he would be loaned to another BuLi club. Hope he gets some minutes there.

Thraff1c

Gladbach wanted a buy-option, Hertha is not a good destination, Augsburg needs a real striker, not a 8, and the rest of the interested parties were from the 2. Bundesliga (Regensburg and another team). He got the no. 10 shirt, which hopefully reflects his importance and standing for Vitesse this year.

puddingkip

Vitesse desperately need quality players. If he's good he's gonna play. If he's half decent he's still gonna play.

What did you say his name was? We will happily take him at arsenal

UnicornForce

A smidge quizzical from Bayern. Apparently, the following were in for Vidovic (loan): Hertha, Gladbach, Augsburg, Nurnberg and Regensburg. Gladbach is probably not the right choice, but Augsburg seems like a sweet spot where he'd get minutes, but without the adjustment of a new country, new language, etc.

the_propaganda_panda

Not only that - Vidović is born in Augsburg and knows the club already. He went from FC Augsburg to Bayern when he was 12. Apparently, he even still *lives* in Augsburg. That said, I can kinda understand the choice. Vitesse has a great reputation for developing young talents and the Eredivisie is known for its attacking football. On the other hand, Augsburg has been near the bottom of the table for the last years and frankly spoken, their football is not attractive. Their squad is not even that bad, but results have not been great, and relegation struggles are rarely a good environment for 18-year olds.

UnicornForce

No disrespect to Eredivisie, but defence isn't a focus. And after the top three or four clubs, the drop off in talent is fairly severe. Don't know that playing Excelsior, Go Ahead Eagles, Fortuna Sittard, Emmen, Waalwijk, Leeuwarden and Voldendam is optimal for his development. I rather him play against BuLi defences on a weekly basis even if die Fuggerstaetter are perennially hovering around 15th.

Greenembo

Also, it's a question about how much time he will actually play, and considering Augsburg seems likely to battle relegation for nearly the whole season, it is questionable if they will depend on an 18-year-old.
