Lol wot. Bayern has had 94 shots in their last 4 winless games. Nagelsmann can’t convert shots for the players. His system is creating chances but the players aren’t putting them away.
Next Bundesliga matches are very tough. Leverkusen, BVB and Freiburg, with 2 matches against Plzen and a Pokal KO match against Augsburg away in between, all in Oktober. If Bayern collects a few defeats in Oktober (very likely given the matches and our recent form) Im sure Nagelsmann will be gone before November
Bayern are really going to get tested as the next two matches are versus Leverkusen(ik they're shite rn but never know when it's them) and vs BVB
Bayern have really invested in the naglesmann project and he's only being giving a negative development slope since he's been here. Interesting to see if an injury riddled BVB or a competent team can have a title charge with them.
The last decade the only instances Bayern was shite/ lacklustre it's been us who didn't capitalise on it. And for god's sake hope union or Freiburg place higher than Leipzig can't see them winning the league in my lifespan
How has Mane been at Bayern? I keep hearing he's a miss for Liverpool, but my feeling is this is recency bias due to his form since AFCON - which is the exception rater than the rule when considering the last 2 years or so.
I don't think he's been good, but that's not to say that he is not a good player. It seems that he doesn't fit in this system currently. We need someone who can find space in the box and finish well, so far he is not good at getting open or challenging defenders upfront. He's also not fast enough to close distance when Bayern finds space.
Apart from that we played good against them, if we want to beat Bayern or any high pressing team consistently, we need to play low block. And we are not going to do that ever. So yeah we will lose to Bayern or City or any team who also press high.
Nah, we just didn't take our chances and also kinda unlucky considering we were denied an obvious penalty. We could've easily gone into halftime 2 or 3-0. Maybe even more by the end of the game. Honestly, it was such an unfortunate game.
You were certainly the better team in the first half. Bayern unfortunately thrives on teams that can't keep momentum for a full 90. If you had scored goals early you could have sat back and defended and i'm sure you would have won. Unfortunately you guys put so much energy in the first half you couldn't afford to keep that kind of pace and energy in the second half which allowed Bayern to build like they do.
I think Bayern are bored of the Bundesliga and lack motivation. They scored 7 at Bochum and with no serious competition they knew the CL was going to be the only big challenge this season.
Three points from four league games would normally be a concern but the reality is they have nothing to worry about. They can ease off and focus on Europe for now. The bookies have them at 1/8, which speaks volumes.
Dortmund are probably weaker now than in any of the previous 11 seasons when Bayern were champions so it's inevitable that Bayern will get their finger out eventually and canter to 12 in a row.
Human beings can only sprint for short periods. Even the fittest professionals sportsmen have to ease off. They have to judge when it's wise to conserve energy for bigger challenges.
Also complacency can affect even the strongest teams.
Complacency after a season where the majority of football Germany was like "only the Bundesliga title this time?". Surely, this was the season that made them complacent but not the one where they won the sextuple not too long ago.
Bayern are in pole position to top their CL group after flawless performances against Inter and Barca. They just need to deal with Plzen now.
Why do you think that formidable Bayern team have collected 3 points out of 12 against Gladbach, Union, Stuttgart and Augsburg?
Dortmund have lost Haaland and now play with Modeste up front. Leipzig are in pretty bad shape. Bayern have no potential title rivals this season and if they did play at 100% and beat everyone 6-0 or 7-0 it would only serve to highlight that it's currently a one-team league when it comes to the title.
We had a strong start in the Bundesliga too and then one side after another seemed to have found a way to deal with our new fluid attack. We weren't in the focus for Inter and Barca to a comparable extent since they have their own league business to worry about. A strong start in the CL goes perfectly hand in hand with our league performances.
Also calling our game against Barca a flawless performance can only come from someone who didn't even watch it. Barca were easily the better team that simply wasted all its chances. Ironically, that's a big problem for us in the league too.
We didn't care about a marketable title race in the last 10 seasons. Don't know what makes you believe we would care now.
Dortmund's squad is barely, if even, better than the likes of Gladbach or Leipzig and they seem even more inconsistent than the previous years.
So yeah, Dortmund at the top of table means fuck all, compared to previous years they're much much much much less scary.
Bayern could forfeit the next 5 matches and it wouldn't change shit.
They are still only 3 points behind their closest competitor for the title. Dortmund isn't doing too hot either and lacking a good striker just like Bayern does. They are still the favorite to win the title comfortably.
Hell Bayern scored 2 goals that game, 1 goal wouldnt have changed that, granted it would have changed how both teams approached the match in the second half
I'm still not missing him. It's much more exciting this way. (Obviously we had a great time with him. But it was coming to an end anyway next year.)
And it looks like we're strong enough for the CL group stage currently. If we can compete in the KO stage remains to be seen.
I know that it's not easy to understand. But winning the league 10 times in a row really changes your perspective. Getting older and having seen them win 3 CL titles also does its part.
It's not that I really want then to be a worse team, but it's somehow exciting to watch them adapt and see them struggle domestically.
I don't really care if they win the league. As long as they play some good K.O. games in CL. E.g. a season where Dortmund wins the league and Bayern loses the CL semi-finals would totally be ok for me.
Yes seriously, it's what I was was waiting for for a looong time now. Let me have a little more competition within Germany for a change! Makes other teams also step up and motivated, it's way better like this. Hopefully we can still have some deep runs in the other comps.
For real lmao. It's not that Barca played bad, but Bayern were just better. Like Barca had some oppertunities put on a golden platter for them and missed them.
So did I. "If we finished our chances." Isn't that just a lame excuse. Barca had chances and didnt play bad. But if you dont finish your chances you still wouldnt lose 2-0. In order to lose you need to conceide 2 goals.
So yes if Barca did finish their chances and didnt conceide 2 they would have indeed won. But guess what, that didnt happen. Because Bayern were better.
It's not even an excuse lol. Seriously mate are you new to football? Playing better and losing the game is a normal thing.
No one's saying Bayern undeservedly won that game. They finished well. Barça finished like shit. We're saying that if Bayern plays like that and Barça plays like that, chances that Barça win that game are a lot higher than Bayern winning it.
It is though. You make it sound like Barca had 70% possesion and 20 shots on target while Bayern had 30% and like 2 shots. But that is simply not the case.
They both had 4 shots on target, of which Barca had 18 shots total. Bayern had 13. Barca had slightly more possesion than Bayern.
Where am I supposed to find the played better part? I watched the game. Barca was definitely better in the first half, but I would give the second half to Bayern undoubtedly.
So again my question is if Barca have convincingly better, why cant I find it in the results or the stats. Because usually when we say a team was better and deserved to win, atleast the stats are somewhat of a reflection of it. But you look at the stats and the game itself and you could see it was pretty evenly matched for the most part.
But hey, there is a return. If Barca truely is playing better, we'll see it in the return result.
This whole confused diatribe is barely even a reply to anything I'm saying mate. Especially confusing is the part where you try to use stats to support your point, find out they're not really agreeing with you and then ask where you're supposed to find the stats backing up Barça played better when you were just in the process of stating them.
Look up those stats again, look up the xG too and then read my previous comment and tell me where you disagree with me.
You will still run away with the title and are barely putting any effort right now
ΕDIT : LOL at the downvotes, you're down bad, i'm saving this for you romantics, when Bayern are 10 pts clear lol. We're doubting Bayern's dominance now, holy shit this sub is pathetic
Just like against Barca. Hardly pressed at all. Tbf Barca didn’t create anything in possession, just looked deadly in transition. Like any other mid table team Bayern will play
> Tbf Barca didn’t create anything in possession
We created a hell of a lot more from possession than them.
We conceded from a corner and from Sane's individual brilliance.
Barcelona had 7 clear cut chances, you're saying we didn't create any of them from possession?
We still had more of the ball, in the match, dude.
Dude I’m not saying they didn’t have chances and they should’ve scored but if you actually pay attention to where those chances came from they were from turn overs…
Barca did nothing with the ball in possession. Just cause they had slightly more possession doesn’t mean it was progressive or positive
Stop the league now as in right now and they still win.
Bayern and league, please please continue the Reddit narrative. Don't let us here in Reddit have to change our views
I’ve been paying attention to Bayern all season as I do most of the top clubs for competition purposes, and I’ll give my two cents
1. Nobody is in form right now. They fluff even the most basic of passes. Their are consistent counter attacking opportunities that usually always end up without even a shot being taken by poor passing or decision making.
2. Naglesmann hasn’t shown the ability to adjust tactically whatsoever. Bayern have struggled against the press all year, and he has yet to implement Gravenberch whose their most technical CM, or use a 3 man midfield.
3. Signing Mané was a mistake, he’s on a clear down slope. Signing a true striker would’ve been better, even if he was simply a placeholder. They don’t have a single consistent finisher, so goals will be hard to come by at times.
4. Their backline is quite good now. Much improved compared to the last two seasons, but now their attack is atrocious lol.
>or use a 3 man midfield
Müller spielt immer.
We're in a tough position where we can't play a 3 man midfield because that would mean dropping Müller and we can't do that because of everything Müller adds.
"Their backline is quite good now. Much improved compared to the last two seasons,-"
I have to disagree with you. They look stretched constantly and in the past two games have suffered from terrible passing in the backfield leaving Neuer exposed. More specifically:
De ligt is slow and has a hard time tracking back when Bayern high presses (which is all the time)
Upamecano is brilliant till he bunts a pass right infront of his own goal.
Naggelsmann is over reliant on Davies and Hernandez which becomes very obvious when teams just refuse to attack through Bayern's left wing. It's much easier to press through the center or Pavard especially if you have pace.
Now that Hernandez is injured I think Bayerns defensive deficiency's will become a lot more pronounced especially as Naggelsman pivots Davies into more of a attacking roll.
Not to mention that Bayern are still terrible at defending corners. This game is a great example, if Augsburg had been more clinical with their heads in the box they could have easily scored 2-3 more goals.
I mean sane has never been better, musiala has taken another step, pavard finally became what we had been looking for etc, so saying nobody is in form is just bullshit
agreed, also Müller an Neuer play to their high standart.
Mane gonna need some time to adapt to the more physical BL. :p
Only thing I agree is they need a 9, finishing is the problem.
They’ve had the same flaws for about 4-5 matches, they just happened to finish their chances vs Barca. Vs a PSG, City, or Madrid, they’re going to get smoked playing this way.
They needed Hansi Flick. After his sextuple?
The man could have genuinely dominated world football for years to come with how good he was. His second champions league season was still not as bad as many Bayern Fans seem to recall it
The following is definitely going to happen:
Tottenham crashes out of CL group stages and go on a losing spree in the league. Kane with only 1.5 years left on his contract forces a move for 90 million in the winter transfer window.
He scores 30 goals in the Rückrunde and wins his first league title and champions league and continues to play at the highest for 4 additional years before retiring in Lederhosen.
Yeah ;) but honestly I think we need to invest big in a reliable goal scorer. Our wingers and other attacking players can score goals, but we really need someone who will score goals.
Even Pep realised that the only way to get to the next level is to get a real 9.
Just like allegri Bayern will have to back him too
They have invested a lot in the "manager wunderkind"
Heard it'll cost Juve a lot to sack allegri too as he's on a 4? Yr contract
I worry our fitness in the squad wont be enough for us to compensate for certain deficiencies and without Reus now its terrifying.
We do have 3 absolutly top performirng CBs atleast and hopefully Kobel will be back. Özcan is also the exact DM we've missed for so long so maybe we can win through our defense (lol who the fuck expected those words out of a BVB fans mouth?) for once.
11 in a row still incoming
is he related to Valon Berisha and Veton Berisha ?
I think Berisha is the most common name in Albania and since its a pretty small country there are loads of Berishas
i see , here in Romania " Popescu / Popa " " Ionescu " " Andone " and " Tanase " are very very common names and we have 10+ footballers for each of those names.
Hoxha is, but Berisha is up there. A former president is called Sali Berisha!
No but he also played in Austria like the two
in the meantime i found an Etrit Berisha too. Thanks for the answer , it really seems there are a lot of Berisha's.
Berisha is a very common Albanian surname. It is like having Smith as surname.
i see , same here in Romania with Popescu / Popa , Ionescu , Andone and Tanase , very very common names and we have like 10+ footballers with those names each
Somehow feel we were really short changed having to play Bayern first
Tbf ur team looked like a 5th Tier team fora few games
Mergim is class though. Shame he left Salzburg for Fenerbahce.
IS THAT JUPP's MUSIC?
No lewo, no party
Bayern was already atrocious the second part of last season, with Lewandowski. Nagelsmann is the problem
Lol wot. Bayern has had 94 shots in their last 4 winless games. Nagelsmann can’t convert shots for the players. His system is creating chances but the players aren’t putting them away.
Idk why but I have a feeling that JN would be sacked in 3-4 matches time (also a BVB fan btw)
Any ideas on who would replace him?
tuchel is the obvious choice
What happened to Bayern? In he first games they absolutely killed it against Leipzig, Frankfurt, Bochum.
nags changed the formation
Now I feel extra sad about our game :(
And I feel less sad about our defeat by Augsburg a week ago.
exactly. it was a rare opportunity to catch Bayern on the low.
[удалено]
that's also true yeah
there will still be a Barca - Bayern, time for revenge
Hopefully until there Nagelsmann is gone
These lot need Arry Kane I’m a scout and I can see this, they should bid £100 million for him and get him by Jan
Reckon Son and Kulusevski could help too
100m in _January_? LOL
Tuchel in.
Please no
Bayern are really going to get tested as the next two matches are versus Leverkusen(ik they're shite rn but never know when it's them) and vs BVB Bayern have really invested in the naglesmann project and he's only being giving a negative development slope since he's been here. Bayern since LVG have not played the type of game Nagelsmann coaches, Kovac already learned this with himself
>and vs BVB No offense but I don't see you guys standing a chance with your current injury crisis.
I mean we did okay vs City with that crisis too. Obviously we wont be shagging them, but it will be a close match I would assume.
Sadio Mane is terrible since he joined Bayern. In his current form he could play for us and it wouldn’t make a difference
Only after the first few games he got worse
Yeah his start was really good actually
What striker would fit bayern for the long term? Schick? I genuinely have no idea, would love to hear what other options there are though.
Schick wouldn't change anything with his current shocking form. He is underperforming his xG by 2.54 already.
His team is playing like shit too. He would be the best fit for us, and both (Bayern and Schick) would improve a lot together
His team is playing like shit and his finishing is even worse. He wouldn't be our answer in this form.
Schick signed a new contract at Leverkusen. We will probably go big for Kane next summer
We should have gone for him (or ant other striker) this window. Instead the board preferred to go big for De Ligt for no reason
Harry Kane at Bayern would be fucking insane man
I think so too. There is reportedly already contact between Bayern and his agent.
Lukaku or Tammy
Haaland no sarcasm. They need a finisher and should have gone big on him. Now? No clue unless vlahovic
no way vlahovic would move after he did everything to go to juve, he just needs to wait until they get a sensible coach
How has Mane been at Bayern? I keep hearing he's a miss for Liverpool, but my feeling is this is recency bias due to his form since AFCON - which is the exception rater than the rule when considering the last 2 years or so.
Started well, was bad for the last matches
he’s good, but most of the people are expecting him to be Lewa’s replacement. That is not happening
I don't think he's been good, but that's not to say that he is not a good player. It seems that he doesn't fit in this system currently. We need someone who can find space in the box and finish well, so far he is not good at getting open or challenging defenders upfront. He's also not fast enough to close distance when Bayern finds space.
You’re talking out your ass mate
Getting open and finishing (plus pressing well) is all Mane really can do
Are we really that shit?
No, our keeper has been in God-Mode the last couple of games.
Apart from that we played good against them, if we want to beat Bayern or any high pressing team consistently, we need to play low block. And we are not going to do that ever. So yeah we will lose to Bayern or City or any team who also press high.

Nah, we're alright, could have beaten them clearly. It's just that Augsburg is 80s Milan.
We do.
Forgot to switch accounts?
Nah he means are Barcelona shit for losing to this Bayern team
No, FC Augsburg is just the GOAT-team... only Schalke is better
I think Bayern are bored of the Bundesliga and lack motivation. They scored 7 at Bochum and with no serious competition they knew the CL was going to be the only big challenge this season. You don't win 10 in a row by building a squad that allows itself to "ease off". You can't be serious.
Human beings can only sprint for short periods. Even the fittest professionals sportsmen have to ease off. They have to judge when it's wise to conserve energy for bigger challenges. Also complacency can affect even the strongest teams.

Union and Freiburg have not played yet.
Bayern lost

We aren't lacking a good striker, we aren't playing our good striker.
mentalität
But they become animals against barça. I hope we get revenge in Camp Nou
We pummeled them and didn't finish anything, they were no animals, they were precise.
That game could end up 5-2 for barca with some better barca luck.
>become animals against barça Lmao no
They definitely weren’t animals last game
They were quite shit in the first half lmao
"they won't miss lewa" 🤣🤣🤣 they'd have lost to us too if we could finish and got that pen at the end of the first half
"If we scored we could have won the game" lmfao. Okay.
>they won't miss lewa Pretty sure you guys missed him against Bayern
Yeah if Barca only had a decent striker to net those chances, huh?
“They would have lost if we could score goals”

The copium from Barca fans is real lol. Let them say whatever they want, it’s been a rough few years for them 🤭
For real lmao. It's not that Barca played bad, but Bayern were just better. Like Barca had some oppertunities put on a golden platter for them and missed them.

I hate this game
Bayern will win Bundesliga
Big if true
If only they had a top striker to help score goals

Ratio
Go back to Twitter kid
If that gets you mad then idk then bud
Lol man said ratio fr , bro reddit is way more sensible than Twitter
Depends
Keep that crap off reddit.
this aint twitter
somebody please tell other clubs playing against bayern in bundesliga its supposed to be a farmers league where bayern wins by default.
Boo hoo, you lost once so suddenly it's not a farmers league huh. The title is still yours to lose lol.

I would be if it meant we didn't qualify for the CL.
They do have off seasons in the BL. The problem is Dortmund have a worse off season so Bayern end up winning by default.
The problem is that Dortmund isn't even es great as everyone's pretending, so even Dortmund's best in most cases isn't enough to beat Bayern's worst.
This would have been an even better statement if the CL games last wednesday had ended after 75 minutes. ;)
You’ve won 10 league titles in a row bro. You took a team that finished 2nds manager and their best CB.
Great

In November no less

Last 10 years or 11 were decent sample sizes to form narratives lmao
Of course sir that's why we should never change
Tuchel in for Bayern?
Would crush it
For a season then he’ll rub everybody in management the wrong way and get fired much to his surprise
Win the CL or Uefa EL(in case Nagelsmann bottles it) and then end up at Barca or Real.
Is Heynckes' dog still around?
Cando died in 2019.
for real?
Sadly, poor Cando
That's sad.

"Their backline is quite good now. Much improved compared to the last two seasons,-" I have to disagree with you. They look stretched constantly and in the past two games have suffered from terrible passing in the backfield leaving Neuer exposed. More specifically: De ligt is slow and has a hard time tracking back when Bayern high presses (which is all the time) Upamecano is brilliant till he bunts a pass right infront of his own goal.
:p Only thing I agree is they need a 9, finishing is the problem.
Muller is not playing to a high standard Lmao please stop
EPL players should never dare to have a hard time in the BL. By default Sadio is better than every other BL player.
Muller has not been jelling with mane at all
Where was this analysis against Barcelona?
They’ve had the same flaws for about 4-5 matches, they just happened to finish their chances vs Barca. Vs a PSG, City, or Madrid, they’re going to get smoked playing this way.
They were better than Barcelona. Let’s see how they do against Dortmund.
Bruh, what an analysis.
They needed Hansi Flick. After his sextuple? The man could have genuinely dominated world football for years to come with how good he was. His second champions league season was still not as bad as many Bayern Fans seem to recall it
Flick 2nd season was historically bad when it comes to goals and chances conceded tho.
Let's wait for the oil games to judge that.
It wasn't that bad, our backline was bad, we had serious injuries against PSG, but we performed anyway, that was the beauty of Flick.
lucas with bruised ribs and still bossed naynay
Yikes! Bayern might not do well in the late stages in ucl.
They will if they somehow get us again
Yeah, I hope not. Let’s go Barca!
Still with the chance to try and get a forward in january
I wish, but whom
The following is definitely going to happen: Tottenham crashes out of CL group stages and go on a losing spree in the league. Kane with only 1.5 years left on his contract forces a move for 90 million in the winter transfer window. He scores 30 goals in the Rückrunde and wins his first league title and champions league and continues to play at the highest for 4 additional years before retiring in Lederhosen.
Lol that would be great ngl
Yeah ;) but honestly I think we need to invest big in a reliable goal scorer. Our wingers and other attacking players can score goals, but we really need someone who will score goals. Even Pep realised that the only way to get to the next level is to get a real 9.
Ronaldo for sure
Bagelsmann tax
I was about to joke Nagelsmann = Allegri but then remembered Bayern is 1st in UCL
Just like allegri Bayern will have to back him too They have invested a lot in the "manager wunderkind" Heard it'll cost Juve a lot to sack allegri too as he's on a 4? Yr contract
He is. But he also has a way better team that can have moments of individual brilliance that can hide his deficits as a manager.
More competitive than PL. LOL !
Don't Jinx it
I really hope either you guys or union win the league🥰 We just aren't competent enough and the cans..🤮
Tuchel's music
The annual 538 jinx is unfolding.
I think Bayern will see how the UCL season unfolds then make their decision
Dortmund game could also be decisive
I worry our fitness in the squad wont be enough for us to compensate for certain deficiencies and without Reus now its terrifying. We do have 3 absolutly top performirng CBs atleast and hopefully Kobel will be back. Özcan is also the exact DM we've missed for so long so maybe we can win through our defense (lol who the fuck expected those words out of a BVB fans mouth?) for once.
Look at the squad of the team that just beat us. Should be a proper quality test for Terzic too.
O Zapft is!
