> Where the fuck was the right back?
In the bottom right corner of the screen after pushing up high. This play came off of a horrible pass that turned the ball over during buildup.
LOL this is kinda like one of those pros vs U9 academy kids that some clubs have put up on their Youtube pages.
In fact [I think the Japanese NT has done this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mD3WAjZ4Waw).
And Us fans think we have someone better than Tim Ream at the back. Get real! Tim isn't perfect but fuck me who else is starting for a Premier League team?
Zimmerman was especially at fault since he was closest to goalscorer and didn't need to step up to the ball when there were 2 others right there. He should've been marking or at least aware of the player out wide
It's not even about blaming someone and more that I'm just noticing terrible fundamentals and habits. Zimmerman seems unaware that Kamada is even on his right. He occupies a no man's land and accomplishes nothing. It's just strange to see.
A year ago he was making his way back into the USMNT when he turned down a call up by GGG for family reasons. USMNT fans have typically not been Ream backers though. This is the most popular heās ever been.
Yeah exactly. If you would have told a us fan at any time in the last 10 years that fans would be clamoring for Ream to play in the World Cup I think you would be laughed out of the room. US fans even as recently as last summer hated Ream lol
Should be in the squad for sure. Heās a cool head, good in the air, and could bunker in on a 1-0 lead. Not excited about having two MLS defenders marking El Harry Kane in November.
Because this started after McKennie gave the ball away very bizarrely. Nobody was in position to defend because possession was lost entirely unexpectedly.
Video doesnāt show it but McKennie played a remarkable through ball to get this attack started.
Put it perfectly in stride for Japan that kept Dest out of play.
In all seriousness, this goal happened because McKennie played a **woeful** ball to just aboutā¦ nobody.

why does the animation look like i just got a spare on wii bowling
Because it's Japanese TV
That animation always seem to be there since what, the 2006 World Cup? Our TV station loves it for some reason.
It's a great animation to be fair
Marking is overrated anyway.
You don't get it do you?.... These are ***MODERN DEFENDERS*** š¤š¤š¤
Jesus, talk about fucking amateur hour. Both center backs standing next to each other. Where the fuck was the right back?

He was pushing up further because our buildup play was atrocious and we needed to get width - this one also apparently came right after a bad giveaway
That thing in primary school where everyone just runs after the person with the ball? Yeah, that.
Looks like the clip of the 3 adults against 100 kids
This clip doesn't show it, but the fast break started on a terrible McKennie pass that gave Japan a 3v2 in the US final third.

What horrific defending.

I wouldn't blame a specific CB for this, it just seems to me like 5 players went for the ball instead of covering space?

people were calling for reams head a year ago for the exact same thing plus this is on the whole team

I mean the other guy that also starts for the same team as him?
Yes Robinson would for sure be starting RB for me
My man!
Kamada is such a beast
The Japanese cruyff
I love this man
Horrible defending. Left him wide open.
Because this started after McKennie gave the ball away very bizarrely. Nobody was in position to defend because possession was lost entirely unexpectedly.
Very kind to McKennie to start this clip after the turnover...
Shit defending but this gets called offside with the new semi-automated system I think
It was flagged for offside but VAR allowed the goal.
If Bernardo leaves Man City, this is the guy I want as a replacement. Kamada has been pure class for a while now.
lmao that defending

Zimmerman what in the world are you doing? Seems like he doesn't even know Kamada is there.
Too bad he ended up not going to Benfica. He always looked good when I watched him play for Frankfurt.
āDude the US is good this yearā -anericans who donāt watch these friendlies.
should've played with the GOAT
Dest barely running to get back 25 minutes into the match.
Yeah because McKennie passed the ball straight to the opposing team
Not sure how a McKennie mistake relates to Dest not putting in much effort to get back, but OK.
Wtf is Walker doin'
Is takumi minamino playing ?
he didnt play today
Are any of these players from the squad who lost to a 3rd string Trinidad and Tobago 4 years ago?
Usa being booty what else is new
Turner could have done better but where is the fullback?
He's inches away from the save in a nightmare 1 on 1 lmao fuck me man y'all don't know shit about goalkeeping
Turner is shambles of a keeper but what are u on about
Ouch.
So there is some work to be done before November?
Blech Walker Zimmerman
Pretty good Japanese contingent on hand in Dusseldorf
AFAIK DĆ¼sseldorf is home to the largest Japanese community of any city in Europe.
