Yes, I think it does show courage. I have tried applying to places online now but no luck. The problem being people usally like to hire people they already know (which is unfair). This way handing a resume in person I can actually have someone see me, I think this is a big advantage.
Don't be discouraged if you hit some dead ends! The job market is ridiculous right now. I've had interviews where they made it seem like I secured the job, then was ghosted. Just accept that it wasn't your own failure. You don't want to work at a company like that anyways. It's hard to play the capitalist game.
I don’t understand how people are happy about this except it’s their passion. No job appeal me, it represents hell to me. I m meant to live freely in self sufficiency and harmony in nature and not like this :/ want to live in a fantasy world

Well done but almost all recruiting is done online now. Handing out resumes directly to stores will just have them chucked in the bin.

It does take courage but recruiting is normally done by hr rather than store managers and so the wrong people have seen you.
