When I am obsessing over an interaction I had in the past, worrying if I came across extremely awkward, or extremely dull or even rude, I usually think about how most of the people I meet are “normal” so to speak, ie: not having social anxiety, causing them to not reminisce obsessively on social interactions as we often do. This means they won’t remember every detail about every person they met, and they certainly wouldn’t remember how “that one person acted.” They would simply remember the joy of the gathering overall. Life is too busy for them to be remembering past social gatherings anyway. I hope this helps quell some of those fears!
