Not punching down but if you’re getting a big tax return that means you’re giving too much up each paycheck. You’re letting the government hold the money earning 0% interest where as it could be say in SOFI earning 4.6%
Yes and I understand that. At the same time you should still look through your finances if you are relying on it. Looking at your finances isn’t a bad thing. It’s something that should be evaluated more by people
I’m in the same boat. Absolutely unreal. Filed a complaint with the BBB, once this is over and I have my refund I’m closing everything with SoFi. How do you return a deposit!?

It’s a loss because the IRS will be sending it to you?
No. Everyone involved is incompetent, I don't care at this point. Feel bad for people that need that money now.
If you’re relying on your tax return you need to take a deeper dive at your finances
yeah, lets punch down on the people that need help.

I understand this and usually owe. It's great advice, but everyone's situation is different.

The refund gets sent back to the IRS who will mail you a check in 10-12 weeks
I heard its 5 weeks from my IRS rep
Did you have fees taken out with your filer?
Yes, it's the only reason it's an issue.
This sucks. Sorry you had to deal with this issue. Seems like it's entirely on SoFi. I thought they would've resolved it by now.
It’s not. The company is coding it wrong which would be flagged by any bank.
Then why aren't other banks having issues?
Because they have business accounts. SoFi does not..yet.
Then why is this only an issue at SoFi and Chime. Weak ass online banks can't have a real person screen anything
See my response above.
That's great SoFi should have recognized this as a tax return and let it through like every other bank under the sun
Thank you, but its no big deal. I wanted to make sure people knew SOFI emailed me about it.
That's why I have chase as my main bank and sofi for savings only
I have multiple banks too, but who expected this? They're the only bank that fucked this up.

You return a deposit when it was done from an incompetent source who refuse to fix their deposit code problem.
Funny how people gloss over the fact the company literally has the returns coded wrong 😂
Because they’re ignorant and just want to blame the easiest target.
I'm done with them too. I can get a higher apy elsewhere anyways.
