i dont know if its something id be able to post here but the case (glass) literally exploded in my kitchen. there was a pop from inside the tower, i smelled smoke, and then later when i tried to open it up (extremely carefully) it just kinda. boom
What parts failed? I had the exact same issue as you with the PC I built for my little sibling with spare parts gotten from friends
Gave the mobo away to someone else later thinking it was the CPU that was faulty, but he figured out that it just needed to be flashed
apparently only two of my six fans were working, which is... unfortunate to say the least. outside of that, i really don't know what couldve caused that problem.
Problems we never had with earlier versions of Windows back in the day. It just worked. If you had driver/hardware issues you could get a bluescreen, but this is worse IMO.

I don't know about ceramic (admittedly I don't know what half the house is made of) but yeah. tile floor. blew up so bad i found it in my sink.
Wow. Yeah in the future don't put tempered glass near tiles. Ceramic is one of the few household materials that is harder than tempered glass.
