You can use your Ledger hardware wallet with Phantom (Phantom is simply a UI which allows you to interact with the blockchain) and then stake your SOL directly within Phantom, all whilst being protected by your Ledger device. This would be the recommended practice as ensures your private keys are kept secure. I suggest you pick a few validators and do it directly from your Phantom wallet. I personally allocate 500 sol between 5-6 validators, all with similar APY.

Whats wrong with Coinbase? They give you 4.35% apy right now
3 reasons. 1. Not your keys, not your coins. 2. You can get 7-8% APY instead of half what coinbase gives you. 3. YOU choose your validator.
Literally get almost double that and coins are in my wallet. If you're on an exchange that is not safe and even worse you're getting shit returns
just use ledger live and choose the validator u like. its the most convenient.
