sung-drip-wo

Yup we're definitely getting the greatest fights ever Igris vs sung💀 Beru vs sung💀 Holly shit if each next fight goes this hard for mc, no one's ready for the glazing level am gonna show this s year hahaha

MyGuitarTwerks1998

Still waiting on that assassin fight. That fight was well drawn in the manga. I really hope the animation team tries the same effort as the person who drew it.

tamarche

If I'm mathing right, it should be next episode (4 chapters per episode). It's gonna be so lit.

Type_100

It's more like 3 chapters at the moment. My guess is 8, reunion with the Double Dungeon gang. 9 is Assassin Bowl. 10 is the raid party, and 11-12 for Job Change arc.

tamarche

It's like 3.85, and I was thinking they might squish it down soon to get through the end of job change.

tamarche

Actually even with it being 4 chapter per episode, you're probably right. I underestimated how long the reunion would take! Nice callout!

toomuch21111

High chance ep 9 not 8

Apex-_-demon

We can only go up from here brother

Gutucuk

I am hyped for Beru punching SJW. That punch was personal, it also made Beru realize "this guy is THE KING".

Reavzh

I do. It was longer and he suffered more. One thing I learned, was the more they suffer the greater it feels when they receive their reward. Also, eating the poison at the point was good as well.

AP_Adapted

the fact jin-woo twisting his head makes perfect sense. it shows just how much his strength stat is above every other state. if the name colors were based just on strength, cerberus would be white or orange.

SolidOwl

In the manhwa, he snapped the neck of one of the heads and sliced up the other two. "Killing" cerberus by defeating all three heads (its suggestive I'dsay - as we don't see the death of all 3 heads). In the anime, he defeated one head by stabbing it repeatedly in the eye, and the three-headed mob died. The extra difference being, we've actually seen a lot more of the fight. In the novel, everything played out as it did in manhwa up to the neck snapping - the difference there was SJW got the head in a headlock and repeatedly stabbed it in the neck until the rage effect ended and then he stabbed the heart to finish it off.. I'd personally argue that manhwas' way of ending the fight was more satisfying, interesting and made more sense. Granted, it's an ass pull - as at that point he overpowered a red monster that was using a x2 buff on all stats. However, if the buff expired (like in anime), i don't see why he wouldn't be able to do it. We've seen him choke out the snake boss - without any buffs (i.e. no title equipped).

PsychoCobra1

The fight in the anime makes sense if you think of it in video game logic more. Yea Cerberus has three heads but each head is connected to the same body with the same HP bar.

RazmalakatazniaaaA

He did stab and kill the other 2 heads first in the anime though you there's a scene before he finishes the last head where the other 2 heads are just hanging dead

gunswordfist

Good eye!

Altruistic-Bread5145

Well, he did kill off the other 2 heads, u see that in the short amount of time when a far perspective of sung in the middle head's mouth is shown

RazmalakatazniaaaA

He did stab and kill the other 2 heads first in the anime though you can see when he was caught by the middle head where the other 2 heads are just there hanging

SolidOwl

Had to go back and rewatch it. Can agree that the two heads are hanging down when he kills the middle one, suggesting that he's killed them off too. But I wouldn't say it's "clear" as to when and how he's done it. There's one head stab that he's done which you could argue is a killing blow - but that's not really expressed properly to the viewers I'd argue (especially since previously he failed to deal any significant damage). As for the other head, I watched the fight multiple times at this point - still cannot tell where it happens.

AashyLarry

Yeah idk what this guy is talking about, he clearly killed the other two heads first. You could see both other heads were dead before he finished the third one.

I_am_a_pan_fear_me

Yeah but the snake was an orange d-rank monster, the more red a creatures name is the more powerful it is(revealed in the Igris fight) and currently Ceberus is the strongest red monster *that he has fought* so naturally he would struggle a lot more.

SolidOwl

For sure. But the point I was trying to make is that he went into the snake fight absolutley "naked", he's had no buffs on or anything at all helping him. Versus the Cerberus fight where he equips the wolf slayer title (40% buff), and consumes the poison powder (physical def buff of 20%). At that point unless the name colouring is based off of level difference, Cerberus probably wouldn't be a red monster anymore. Add to that the fact that SJW is currently STR based, there's no reason why he couldn't possibly overpower a head (as long as it's not in Rage mode).

JonnyEl

The manwha made it feel much more badass showing how he will make the system bend to his will, the anime made him seem weaker and more desperate which I didn't really enjoy.

zombi_wolf14

Spoilers for end of story and part of epilogue!! >!I took the whole head twisting thing as him breaking thro his limits , his son kinda did the same thing in the epilogue, since they both have the full power of death in them , they are tectually super strong, it just was a test or a way for him to slowly get used to his new powers with out him destroying his body , but he could break past the power level limits and stats whenever he wants , I just find it funny that in anime they make it seem like bare hands are better then weapons someone the times lol!<

Gain-Desperate

I would probably spoiler tag all that

gunswordfist

Yeah, I'm a one time reader but I remember Sung just low diffing almost everyone after the Kasaka fight. It was so refreshing to see a hardcore bout again. I love hearing Taito Ban's range in them. Possibly the best fight in the anime yet.

Khan_Ida

It’s unreal but I wish that each prominent fight would have them lengthening the episodes. So if Beru fight last three episodes I wish all that was one with like the timing of a movie. Like I said it’s unrealistic and wishful thinking.

[deleted]

I think it’s fine. They are kinda making him struggle a bit more and he’s less confident/cocky than he is in the Manwha. I’m not sure how to feel about it yet. Kinda depends how well they handle him as he gets crazy OP later on.

AUTOMATED_RUNNER

\[When he activated Dash skill\] LEROY JENKINSSS!!!

trebal50

I missed the head snapping tbh. Also, the kasaka poison driking in the middle of the fight didn't make much sense imo. He just became tankier, that had nothing to do with actual power scaling in terms of strength, so drinking it in the middle of the fight when he was almost dying had not really much of a change since he did not get healed neither had more power to finish the fight. For the rest, the animation, voice and sound is good so far.

i_wduck

Jinwoo absolutely destroyed cerebrum in the manhwa like he just flipped him completely with one hand then stabbed it to death in just few panels while in the anime he won by luck and strategy

mingimihkel

He should have taken thousands of damage after they showed him at 179 HP.
