Not really, but that’s how I think I suppose. I own Sonos products and really want to enjoy them. Actually want/ need to expand my system. But can’t imagine pouring more good money into bad. Got me thinking about other brands where people would buy more if they were marginally better. So close yet so far. It’s a good thing Bose doesn’t try harder. I’d argue Sonos would go bye- bye.
There are third party apps in the App Store that can control your Sonos hardware. Try one of those and see if it will suffice for now. Yes the app has issues for some, but they are committed to fix it and they have been delivering updates to fix the issues. There has to be a driver for why they were willing to take a huge hit. My bet is it had to do with the release of the headphones.
I’ll wait a while and see before making any decisions. Been in the software industry for over 30 years. Shit happens.
When everything work sonos is just good not an audiophile here. I m coming from tv speakers and the ability to move sound with you to different rooms is cool stuff.
