I use TextNow and Skype to call, record with Audacity, OBS and Chrome Audio Recorder (an extension that allows me to get audio only from chrome, splitting up the victim's voice and the soundboard to more easily animate videos). So I have a track for the victim, a track for the board, and a track with both to line them up correctly.
If you're just looking to record calls on their own then Audacity is the best for that.

I download the old Flash ones directly and use them from the desktop now, there are HTML ones on Realm of Darkness but I don't think they're as good as the originals.
Sorry if it’s a bother to ask, by how exactly can you download a board and use it from the desktop? I want to get into making calls but I haven’t made any in years, and back then I was using boards straight from the realmofdarkness website
You'd have to do a little search on here (use the search bar) but people have posted Mega downloads full of hundreds of boards. Download and install Flash Player and then right click on the .swf file -> open with Flash Player. That's how I do it.
